I'm sure it wasn't our capt.:rotfl: But his costume came pretty darn close.
He even sounded like Johnny Depp.

Tyreak and I were walking behind him as we headed to the subway. Everyone we passed did a double take. :scared1:

Knowing there are a number of you with pets,

There has been a huge recall in dog food.
Some unknown ingredient in certain foods is causing renal failure, and
even death in some animals.
If any of you feed your dogs or cats canned food please click on to
the below link.
The second link has the 40 different brands of dog food affected by
this recall, all of which are canned food.

Thanks or the info. I immediately picked a can of our DISDog's can food. His is not on the list probably because it is a prescription food we can only buy from the vet. :headache:

Enjoy!! (Though it's similar to yesterday's... :confused3 )

Yes a friend of mine at work just dropped over 200 at the vet as he gave her some wet Iams last week for the dog and now the dog has bloody stools and damage to her kidneys. And the vet gave her the food to try. She is really upset about this.

Took DDs to see the Sneak Preview of The Last Mimzy today. Neat little movie.

Lots of great pics from yesterday! I think Justmestace, Lisa, Brack and Esteri to name a few. Thanks for sharing

Speaking of which... I found Julia Louis Dreyfus' satire monlogue on SNL to be funny.

We tease my parent's about their "bad" luck on vacations. Let's see, a couple years ago they went to the Destin Beach FL area during back-to-back hurricanes, then they went to the Cape Cod area a little over a year ago when it monsoon rained for 10 days straight, then they flew to the Alabama Gulf Shores, but dad incurred an infection and went to the hospital where they found he had an irregular heartbeat and was hospitalized the whole week, then my BIL and I had to drive 14 hours each way to extract him because the doctor wouldn't clear him to fly, then they were at a hockey tournament a month back where a boy from my nephew's team nearly drowned, a nurse who's son was on the team saved his life and then they life flighted him to a children's hospital, then, about two weeks ago, they were flying to Tampa when a lady had a heart attack on the plane. A nurse on that flight saved her life and when they landed, the pilot did about 60mph to gate.

OK Joel, please tell me they are not coming with you:scared1:

Yeah, DW mentioned that this may have been the cause for dear DKitty's sudden decline in health prompting us to have her put down :sad1: At least she had a long 14 years.

Hey Enna we were mostly shut in during St. Paddy's but went for the postponed breakfast with my Mom today. How about you guys??? I was going to make a corned beef but last year I bought a good size corned beef and when I was done boilin' the darn thing it was about the size of a half-dollar :lmao:
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I just came across this picture of our GREAT KIDS AKA Stinky Teens during our 8/06 cruise:

MR, that is a great pic of your STs:)

First the Bad News: Grumpy's Train House has Closed it's doors.:faint: The lady that we were sub-letting from couldn't come with the rent and decided it would be best for all concerned,to shut the doors. No way could we have come up with the all of the rent money by ourselves. Since we hadn't signed anything yet, we just gave the business back to the man we got it from.

Now for the Good News: I ordered my New :moped: yesterday. It should be here within 2 weeks :yay:  :yay:

I hate that for you all Debi.

Yeah, he was little hurt,at first. But very happy we hadn't jumped in any further and spent a lot of money, that we didn't have in the first place. Ya know what I mean? On a happier note tho, this will be the first time in over 15 years that he's had an entire weekend to do whatever, other than when we go on vacation.

Look on the bright side...you'll be able to keep the money you didn't have and (bonus) now that he's got weekends free you two can decide if that's truly a good thing ;) When my dad went on terminal vacation before his retirement a few months ago, my mom was suddenly faced with having him at the house all the time!! Turns out that spacious house of theirs is suddenly not big enough! :rotfl:

hmmmmm is it me or does the boy look like a young John Cryer?

Speaking of teens....is someone (aka Lisa :thumbsup2 ) going to have a list of STs willing to babysit for some port-spending cash?

I believe it is called "Going Commando" ..... although for the life of me I do not know why? :confused3

Earliest uses
Slate's Daniel Engber dates the modern usage to 1974 college campuses, where it was perhaps an outgrowth of the Vietnam War. The origins of the phrase are uncertain, with some speculating that it may refer to being "out in the open" or "ready for action." According to Engber many soldiers do go without underwear to "increase ventilation and reduce moisture." The earliest known use of the term in print is January 22, 1985 when Jim Spencer wrote in the Chicago Tribune:

Furthermore, colored briefs are 'sleazy' and going without underwear ('going commando', as they say on campus) is simply gross".
"Going commando" may also come from the mistaken idea that "commandos" go into an area "without cover."

The origin of the term "going commando" may connect to the tradition in military units of Scottish heritage to not wear underwear under their kilts. The first Commando units were raised and trained in Scotland in WW2 (which is where the present-day Commando Monument is).

------

Going commando appears to be an increasingly popular practice. A 2004 study of 7,000 people by the New York-based clothier Freshpair revealed that 9% of men and 7% of women go commando day-to-day. Those who do so semiregularly are much more numerous, possibly around 25-30%, and most people have tried it at some point.

TELL ME ABOUT IT! DW and I have almost rid ourselves of the Black Cloud of Doom that has plagued us for years!

I think being on the same ship with Joel's parents would ensure something would happen to a drive shaft forcing us to stay aboard ship an extra day while in Mexico, the ship would get stuck in a PC lock forcing us to stay aboard ship an extra day or two while they get the locks fixed and/or some freaky tropical storm will hit the Leeward Islands and push a bunch of silt north towards the Bahamas causing the Magic to get stuck on a sandbar that formed under the ship as we're all playing on Castaway Cay forcing us to have to stay at the Cay and aboard ship a few days while a dredger is brought over from Florida. Yeah, that would be a bad thing ;)

Happy Birthday Stace

:bday: :bday: party: party: :rockband: :cake: :cake: :cake:
