Wow Laura great pics! CC is such a beautiful island anyway, but deserted it's out of this world!

What happened to you computer anyway Laura?

Actually this is messy for us. Getting better thanks for asking.

For some reason I feel the need to be extremely neat while on vacation.
I am like that no matter were we go. (I wish I wasn't like that:rolleyes: )

DS forgot his hat and so Mark went back to get it. He got some great pictures of Castaway Cay after everyone headed back to the ship.

Man, they already have everything all picked up. (I really don't understand why everyone leaves so much laying around)

I LOVE all the pics everyone posted today!!

Slow day on the DIS, huh? That's OK. We need to pace ourselves people....this is a marathon, not a sprint.

Sk8ingfam hockey update (just because I know you have all been anxiously awaiting it!):

My team lost 2-0 this morning, so no championship game tonight. That might not be a bad thing. I am getting too old for this whole 6 games in 7 days thing. Thank God for the hot tub! My season is now officially over, but I am playing the first week in April. Women's tournament called Fools On Ice! ;) Yeah that about sums it up!

DS8's team lost 10-2 :sad2:, so this was his last game at this level. He'll be moving up next year. They didn't win a lot this year, but enough to keep it exciting & we were lucky to have great coaches, a great group of kids and a great group of parents. It was fun for all of us.

Great googly-moogly am I tired. Spring forward my add!
Like our sunlight situation isn't strange enough up here.
I can't wait to see what the time stamp is for this post. DIS time!

Sorry about your losses. But it sounds like you had a wonderful season.

Well about 2 years ago, I turned on my puter and it only went to a blanks screen. I had no way of getting into anything. So after much stress and mucho dollars, I had some computer guy come out and getting it running again. (I couldn't just restore because stupid me hadn't backed up my company books in a while.) Needless, to say I would have payed pretty much whatever it took to get my files back up. Well, to make a long story short, my boot.ini file was corrupt. That is what your puter uses to start up windows. so anyway, my computer had to be redone to start from the C drive and it was always a bit iffy. Well, with every new program that was in stalled there were always tons of errors and just to many problems. My DVD/CD drive didn't work all the time and sound was a crap shoot. Every time I turned it off it would give me all tons of error messages. I never knew if it was going to work or not. We really felt that the whole computer needed to be reburned to the original box. But, there was no guarantee, so we decided to just get a new one and then not worry about it always messing up. so we got a new one on sale. It is an HP and it has a smaller screen but better features, etc. It has vista so I also had to upgrade quickbooks pro but I like it so far. Just stressful trying to get it all set up with the home network and making sure all the programs transfer and work properly.

In the Anchorage area:

Shortest day of the year (12/21) we get about 5.5 hours of daylight. Sun comes up around 10am & goes down about 3:30 pm.

Longest day of the year (6/21) we get about 22.5 hours of daylight & it never really gets dark for about a month in the summer. The sun goes down and it is more like dusk.

So every day of the year we are gaining or losing somewhere between 1-7 minutes of daylight a day. My sunrise this morning "spung forward" 1 hour, 5 minutes and 45 seconds!

OK...

I'm off for Chuck-E-Cheese and then a day of shopping and we're gettin' a new mail box. But before I go - here's my latest notion on 7 questions for the weekend...
mplumber.gif

SEVEN QUESTIONS

1) If you could have remodeled your backyard with ONE big change - what would you do? Cost no object but it has to FIT PHYSICALLY into your existing backyard.

2) If you could have remodeled your home with ONE general change of some sort - cost no object (it's free) ... than what would you do... but it has to physically FIT into the lot size you have.

3) If you could remodel your KITCHEN ONLY with ONE major change - cost no object - what would you do?

4) If you could remodel your front landscaping with up to 3 changes - cost no object - what would you do?

5) If you could decorate or remodel your DCL cabin door with one unusual change - ANY CHANGE - what would you do?

6) If you could have the NEW Disney ship be built with ONE MAJOR CHANGE as YOU describe... what would it be that you would have them do. Let your imagination go WILD here.

7) What would you add as the next great Disney ride if you could have them build something to your specification. Cost and engineering requierements are no obstacle. It can be placed on Disneyland or WDW - your choice... and they will replace an attraction to make room for your new ride if needed.

I will reply later on these questions when I get back fromrunning around. Cheers and chuckles to all on this beautiful Sunday afternoon!

1. Add an inground pool and hot tub
2. Add on to the main level a master bedroom and bath. I hate ours being upstairs.
3. I really love my kitchen, but I am guessing I would upgrade the cabinets.
4. Add a few more large trees and make the front porch bigger.
5. Make it a little wider
6. More shopping, larger pool areas
7. ??????????????????????????????????????

It's been a nice weekend but it is off to the salt mines again tomorrow.

Goodnight! :surfweb:

ps while I'm happy AR turned out like it did I think I would have rather had both of the last teams out!

Hey Pirates

If anyone is interested, Disney is running a contest to see an advanced screening of the Pirates 3 trailer and watch Curse of the Black Pearl.

Here's the link. Its in limited cities
https://register.go.com/wdpictures/sweeps/pirates/entry

And if you haven't heard, the trailer will be shown during the premier of this season's Dancing With the Stars on March 19. The contest is for a screening on the evening of the 18th.
