and a few other silly little things like finding a new house, a new job, a new school, new hockey league, new Cub Scout pack . . .

Sounds good I would love to drive across USA on highway 66, been to Hawaii, must say I was dissapointed with Wakiki beach, do they still have thoose ABC stores everywhere, the locals call them All B****** Corners.

Found Pearl harbour very moving indeed, all thosse people lost, I have only felt moved, and spooked like that at Alcatraz.

Also planning vacations today .....

The summer holiday has been planned for months. Two weeks in the mountains of North Carolina with family the first week and friends the second. The DISDog gets to go with us this year.

In September we have nine days at WDW and will be our first use of DVC points. I plan for OKW but we'll see.

In December we have two days before the cruise and eight days afterwards. I am hoping to use DVC points for WL but will settle for SSR (our home resort)

That sounds good as well, but I have to do one thing first!

My favorite non-Disney Hidden Mickey is the one DS8 found in Yellowstone 3 years ago.

Alaska and Yellowstone are on my very long list of places to go to,

We are staying on Wakiki Beach for 1/2 the trip (the other 1/2 in Maui). Basically because we can't beat the price. The Army owns a resort on Waikiki (next to the Hilton) so we are paying $120 a night for an oceanview room.

I'm a history nerd, so I am really looking forward to Pearl Harbor. I am also really excited about the Atlantis Submarine Tour in Honolulu. I was on the fence about going, but we can buy military discount tickets fom about $100 for all 4 of us AND one of the artificial reefs they pass on the tour is the sunken USS San Pedro. That's the ship my grandpa served on during WWII!

I'd like to drive Route 66 someday, but the time we drove the southern route, we had two cars, a 25' sailboat on a trailer & I was 7 months pregnant. It was the South, it was June, I had to drive & I wasn't going to deal with the scenic route!

We took the northern route 3 years ago, so this time we are basically going across the missle of the country.

I did a walk up to Diamond head that was nice and went to the north of the Island to the Polynesian cultral centre, liked that, should have gone to the other islands I read and hear they are better.
