Lisa, I know you're not onnow, but also know you will be sure to catch up later -- I love those costumes! Did you make them yourself? They are very understated and elegant (unlike ours, which we just bought from a costume store!).

Thanks. :) I got the top for mine from chadwick's on clearance (of course) last year. The skirt is from goody's clearance the year before. DS's costume is Hook from the $12 deal with stacking codes a couple years ago...also where I got DD's stock of princess costumes from. ;) DH's shirt is from Kohl's...sale but not a clearance but it was hard to find him anything. DD's dress is from Target at Halloween last year. It was marked down a few weeks before Halloween 50% so I grabbed it because she said that it looked like Elizabeth Swan when they find Will Turner. Both of the guys will have new costumes for this cruise more along the lines of the POC thing. pirate:

Tom alot of us here were on that 8/19 cruise also :thumbsup2

We were actually on the 8/25 cruise (technically the week after Invincible opened up....)

It was the Western turned Eastern due to hurricane (the ONE we had last year)

I probably should be open and honest with the group, I have not had the best luck travelling... first family trip to the World was 9/16/01, had to drive instead of fly due to grounding of all planes. I was in Florida for one of the 4 bad hurricanes in 2004 (managed to get last plane out of Tampa - literally - we would have weathered it out, but would have meant missing youngest DS first day of Kindergarten....), 2006 cruise rerouted due to hurricane.... and other minor incidents on other trips (tornados, etc.) My Mother will not travel the same week I do vacations (although if any rooms open up on this trip she wants to come).

OK... I gotta go now...

Today is a special day ... and we're going out for a late brunch (Dim Sum) and a short visit to DL.

As Schwarzenegger once said...

"I'll be BACK"....

Well, you did a wonderful job of finding things from different places and yet making it all look pulled together as a family . . . I might have to find new outfits for all of us before the 2008 PC trip . . .

  Well, Tom, at least now we know this cruise won't be boring and actually go as planned . . .

Okay...I'm getting off DIS be-hind and going to go pack!!

Isn't it fun to pack? I've been packing this afternoon for our cruise since we will leave Friday afternoon. It's not as though I will get alot of opportunities here between now and Friday with the snow (!) to wear those swimsuits and sandals . . .

:faint: Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid :faint:

Even with after 3" of sleet, freezing rain and a little sn*w mixed in, once I got my windshield cleaned off yesterday morning, I was able to put the wipers back down without any problems whatsoever.

You are lucky, we got 5" of that frozen #&@)#*&@ and not any of it snow... took me nearly 5 hours to clear driveway ....

Lil Grumpy....don't worry...your little princess: still thinks the world of her daddy. Last year DD's short story...more of a picture with a sentance...was submitted to the county's young author's contest. She was selected as one of the county winners for kindergarten. When she brought us the book that they were all published in...she had her daddy's wrapped around her finger. With him gone most of the year she had written about him...even though I was the one at home dealing with everything while he was gone.

In the end, I was happy that she still loved her Daddy even though he was gone.

In the long run, I was proudest of the fact that she went up on stage to accept the award. DS had to sit with her in the student section to have her stay with the other kids. :)

Before I go off and do something productive like :laundy: I did want to make a confession .....

There is one character outside of Disney that I really like alot .....

fatiosm.jpg

Opus is really a cool character. He is the only nonDisney character that I have in my collection. I have three of the stuffed Opus characters nestled in amongst the Mickey's & Minnie's.

Mostly he reminds me to be a little more uninhibited in my life.
:rolleyes1

It will be the ONLY trailer till we get about 2 weeks from the Movie ...Ted and Terry the writers said that they only made one trailer and its a full length trailer instead of a teaser trailer ...man this Movie looks great ...

Yes it does! :goodvibes

Brack, just keep visiting those wench chat rooms on the weekends and you'll have no problem with being less inhibited!

That's very sweet,Lisa -- and one day when she's older she will look back and realize how hard it was for you to do it all with her father gone.

As a point of interest, I was checking the #'s on our thread this morning. When I first signed on we were #2 in views and about 1,000 views behind the leading thread. I just checked a few minutes ago, and we are now under 300 views behind the leading thread..................;)

What do they expect us to do here??? :confused3 :lmao:

I would soooo love to do at least one room "Disney"! Maybe when I get rid of the next Stinky Teen!!

I enjoyed redoing the kid's rooms last year....DS's is Buzz & space, DD's is the Disney princesses. Our family room is going to have mainly Magical pictures & items we have picked up on the cruises...so that will be my Disney sanctuary.

So...when are you planning to head out to CA? We might need to move our plans ahead a few days. ;)

Yes....one day when she has 3 under 5 and is wondering what is for dinner. ;)
