on our last sailin' we had a couple volunteers who would burn CDs or DVDs for DIS friends. Maybe we'll organize the same here. If not then I'll burn some for folks as I will have my notebook. It's just that I know I won't have tons of time free to volunteer for a group of this size and my notebook has a slow burner/processor. It can take 40-50 minutes to burn a DVD. So I have real capacity limits.

On the 12/9 cruise I set up a group snapfish account where many have uploaded their pictures of the group to share. It is really nice to have pictures of everyone in your family since there is always someone taking the shot.

Amazing. She looked great! I want the name of her plastic surgeon cause that is quality work. She doesn't look constantly surprised like some of the poor butchered women who've had bad facelifts. She just looks fresh and youthful.

Well , as I mentioned to some of you my friend Toby came in this past weekend , he is a Captain Jack Impersonator and was here to audition for a reality show that they were filming here , but while he was here we got to have some fun too ....Here is just a little of the fun ....(I was the Camera man for this weekend ...LOL )

Love the movie Todd. We have visited Madame Tussaud's many times. It is really a hoot to take pictures with the stars. Is Captain Jack a permanent fixture there now? Toby could probably get a job inside.

I came home from work tonight and immediately fell asleep.....

Tomorrow my DH is having MOHS surgery on a basal cell carcinoma on his left temple. A specialist referred him to yet another specialist in Princeton NJ because the lesion is laying on the nerve that controls the forehead. Now he's had a few lesions removed over the years, so the surgery isn't scaring him, but he idea that he may no longer have control over his forehead muscles has him concerned. Well I am worried about him and my first reaction.....fall into a dead sleep! Please keep good thoughts for John tomorrow, the procedure may take many hours. Thanks!

Our prayers and thoughts will be with John tomorrow. Hope that everything goes well.

Well, the problem is, in math, Pi R squared. In real life, are squared and pie are round.

So the two don't intersect.

I think this is where you were going with this.

The easiest way to do a problem with squares, looking at the larger sqaures only in this problem, is to take the sum of the squares (not squares we see, but a square of a number, i.e. 2 squared is 4).

You can apply this to any sized square then. You take the number of squares in each direction and square it. Take one less and square that. So on down to 1.

Take a checker board. It has eight rows of eight squares. Therefore you would take 8 squared or 64. Add on 7 squared or 49. You do this down to 1 squared which is 1.

The answer for the checker board would be 204.

For the problem given today, you would treat each section separate, taking out the two smaller squares of 4.

OK......did everyone count the biggest square in that picture?

This is the precription Hazel had to get filled for the IBS: Dicyclomine 10mg, she takes 1 or 2 capsules 4 times a day. Then she also has to take a 230mg Flora-Q capsule, once a day.

Hope that Hazel is feeling better Andy. Just make sure that Hazel does'nt do any driving after she takes on of those Dicyclomines until see how she will react to it. With your descriptions of her driving she may want to hold off. Just kidding Hazel. Flora-Q is fancy name for putting some new healthy bugs back in her gut. This can be very effective.

for Angelina getting the job at B-a-B. Sounds like she would be perfect for the job.

It depends on if you care about the time anywhere else. For example, my company has offices in Arizona. They need to apply the patch because if they don't, and they try to schedule a meeting with me, then their time will be off and I won't have the right time for the meeting.

For a personal computer, probably not, but if you use Windows Update to automatically keep your machine up-to-date, it will get patched anyway.

Also...if you were to move to a different time zone, you might have problems if you don't update it.

I just got back from taking my DD (12) to get her hair cut. She had over a foot of hair cut off & she donated it to Locks for Love. It was down to her lower back & is now just below her shoulders. Wow what a change!

The other day we went & got her ears pierced. It's funny because she was holding out & adamant that she was "Never getting holes" in her ears. Well out of the blue she comes home from school and says, "I want my ears pierced!" Okaaaay. I guess she looked around in school & she said, "Mom every single girl has her ears pierced! And I mean every one! I didn't see one girl that didn't have holes in her ears or earrings on!" Along with the piercing, we had to buy big silver hoop earrings, "because that's what everyone wears!" She can't wait till the 6 weeks are up so she can put them on. What the heck happened to my little girl? Who stole her?

I hear you Diane on the ear piercing. DD12 decided last fall to finally get hers pierced as well. She always wanted to have it done but she is a big chicken.
She finally got up the courage and went through with it. I am kind of glad that she is still a bit intimidated about piercing as I would like to have it stop with her ears.
