I saw the electronic book demo'd at the JavaONE conference last month. It seemed pretty cool. My DW wants one but needs to check what books are available before buying.

If anyone is interested in the Avon sunscreen/bugspray..you can go on Avon.com and find a rep in your area and they will deliver it to you free or you can have it shipped to yourself for $3.00. It works great..I have a lot of people ordering it for the summer.

Yes. But, only until the 4th -- we needed the weekend at home to unpack, wash clothes, rest, etc....before starting all of our classes/work on Monday! :)

We are starting DD on August 1st..she wanted to wait until after Labor Day but then was bummed this year when all of her friends were done with school at Memorial Day and she still has next week. The school we go thru is having me count some of her cruise as field trips so she gets credit for some of that as well.

Since our flight was just recently changed (maybe about 2 weeks ago?) we thought the Disney Transfers made sense. Since this happened long after we were PIF, I'm not sure if we can still remove the transfers. I have considered just renting a car at the airport. We do still have some non-expiring Plus options from older passes, so a waterpark is an option - I just don't know if we will really want to go to a waterpark at the end of such a long trip. I just so wish we could just get home - I want to start unpacking and get some laundry done and make sure we are organized for the next morning when DH & I both need to be at work and DS9 will be heading off to school after missing the first 5 days. :confused3

Maybe AirTran does this a lot, but it never occured to me that our flight might change to such an extreme - I just assumed that it wasn't likely to change much more than 1/2 hour in either direction. Now I know better! We fly at least twice per year - usually between Chicago and Orlando - and we've never had flights changed more than 15 minutes or so before this. (over the last 19 years, it has to be at least 40 round-trips, so 80 flights!)

Pamela

I understand completely. We fly Alaska which is the only airline with non-stop service between Orlando and Seattle. They have one morning flight 8 am I think and the one evening flight. I'm sorry about your time changes, that is a big one. We don't start school until the 3rd so we are ok that way, but it is a long day for us. Good luck with your decision!

I am Soooooo NOT impressed with any airline these days.... fees for peanuts, fees for baggage, fees for asking about fees....

I really think we should get frequent flyer mileage for our 2nd piece of luggage since we have to pay for it. I would love the extra miles. More Disney trips!!!:cool1:

We were one of those Hassle Free casualties. I had it then it crashed. We will try to book once we are on board. If there aren't too many of us maybe we could book the private room if it is not taken :confused3 I heard from a WBer that it was not that difficult to do.

There are already more requests for the private room for brunch than there are sea days - I found that out when I put in my request for the Wench's Brunch!!

Well, we're off to go camping with the Girl Scouts in the rain for the weekend. I love camping, just not in the rain.

I hope it warms up for you! Camping can be fun, but it has just been so cold! Good luck and stay warm!:yay:

Thanks Chris, I guess that it is every pirate: or wench for themselves when we board.

Just an FYI. If anyone in your party has any medical conditions you feel DCL should be aware of, there is a form on the site under My Online Check In you can download.

Does anyone know if this is the same form you would use to let DCL know about food allergies?

I agree Debi. i think I'll just buy stock in Hawaiin Tropic or Coppertone.

Here's a thought, if they offer Palo brunch on Canal Day, somebody might be able to snag the private room for brunch that day.

Chrissie when I made plastic badges for the double dip cruise, I just left them blank & let people put whatever they wanted on them with a sharpie & it worked out great.

Look at you! You are WICKED SMAHT!:lmao: (Really good idea!)

We're off to a going away party tonight for some Coast Guard friends shipping out to CA so I won't make chat. I have a request from them to make fried pork wontons so I'll be busy beforehand. Have a good day! :wave2:

Pork wontons..could you share the recipe???

Me too. I was on the last submit..hit submit and it went into the blah blah having issues blah blah:headache:

Now with the whole luggage thing..the prepay and they will take your luggage..I wonder how it works for those who are grandfathered?

Chrissie

I think my question got lost. Has anyone seen a link to view what the pins look like for the repo?

   I NEVER do things like that!!! Is it a *guy* thing??? Dh & oldest ds both do things like this!!! I like to keep my books looking brand new. Like it's a contest or something....

Me either, usually after I finish reading a book you can never tell that it's been read. DH is the same way. DD11 on the other hand..OMG..what she does to a book!!!

Good thought - except another group I know has already requestd that date!!!

Ours is in already so we get a fridge for DD's formula...

see thread from main board -- Someone on the current Mexican Riveria cruise posted that the Characters are visiting the tables again!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1848395

OK so probably another nuby stupid question... What are the character breakfasts? Do you need ressies?

Ok! Im pissed!

My friend who I am traveling with just called me and they got a call from Disney who informed her that they canceled our excursion we had booked in Acapulco. I had the ATV Adventure booked. I just checked and there is nothing that I want to do that is still avaiable! The only thing that remotely interestes me, I did that on the cruise in 2005!

I helped a friend book at the 75 day window and they werent able to find anything and are now looking for a 3rd party. I was just glad I had something booked that I was happy with going through the whole midnight booking at the 90 day window (while at work I might add) that ended up taking me about 75 mins.

What would you guys do?

You guys could also keep checking for what you're interested in. We were able to get the divers (yeah we're gonna chance it) yesterday.

Yeah I know! She just spread it on crackers or toast...

Does it have to be by its self...or can it be mixed with something.... I am as white as they come! LOL!

   I NEVER do things like that!!! Is it a *guy* thing??? Dh & oldest ds both do things like this!!! I like to keep my books looking brand new. Like it's a contest or something....

I think you could just eat plain ole tomatoes (isn't the paste just concentrated tomatoes? I dunno! :confused3 )

I also do very very little damage to books. DH doesn't have time to read so I have no idea what he'd do to the books :rotfl:

Does anyone know if this is the same form you would use to let DCL know about food allergies?

I would guess so if you can't just note it on your account (though I'd call to make sure).

I think my question got lost. Has anyone seen a link to view what the pins look like for the repo?

So far, Disney has *NOT* released any information as to what pins will be on our cruise.

Keep an eye out on odpt.com (Offical Disney Pin Trading) under new releases and keep an eye out there for the offical announcement from Disney.

Monica
They do have a limited supply of them - in Disney terms they are called plastic mattress protectors and they can be requested from your stateroom attendant upon boarding. You can also note it on your reservation but double check when you board with the attendant

I am sure there are disposible ones you can purchase too

Awesome. Thank you. And thanks to everyone else who posted suggestions.

The disposable liners don't work for us because he is so big (and therefore has a big bladder). Can't use Goodnights either, the don't make them big enough. But we do use Depends, unfortunately those don't usually hold it all. Hmm...maybe a combination of Depends and the disposable liners. As we go through that supply, that frees up room in the luggage for souveniers.

Ok, I think Im better about the excurison being canceled.

Becuase of an unrelated event, I bought a few pins (who would have ever guessed by my screen name) and I ended up getting the Prototype of the Eastbound Logo pin from 2005! It has the original edition size of 1000 before they increased it upto 2600 pins.

Shopping always makes me feel better too.
