I'm curious if her quote of "June being mosqito season" is for our entire trip or just for this port. I had not thought of bug issues, so should I be stocking up on my avon skin so soft sunscreen instead of regular???

That or Deep Woods Off!

Ok! Im pissed!

My friend who I am traveling with just called me and they got a call from Disney who informed her that they canceled our excursion we had booked in Acapulco. I had the ATV Adventure booked. I just checked and there is nothing that I want to do that is still avaiable! The only thing that remotely interestes me, I did that on the cruise in 2005!

I helped a friend book at the 75 day window and they werent able to find anything and are now looking for a 3rd party. I was just glad I had something booked that I was happy with going through the whole midnight booking at the 90 day window (while at work I might add) that ended up taking me about 75 mins.

What would you guys do?

Call Disney and find out if they are offering any other excursion in its place or if the one you want they can book for you even if it shows sold out on the website

I will be gone in between shows to DD house. Dont't know if I will make chat or not. Thanks again for all your concern. :hug:It is much appreciated!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 ::yes:: ::yes::

Big weekend with Kung Fu Pnada on 5 Different screens.:headache: :headache: You Don't Mess with the Zohan has 4 screens!!!:headache: :headache:

Cheryl...what exactly is that you do?

This is the list I have as of June 6th. If you would like to be added (or removed) just let me know!

I have 11:30. My TA said even if i couldn't get it changed that i could probably just show up early.

I saw that about tomatoes on "The Truth About Food" on TLC or something. They made a woman that was very white and burned easily all the time eat tomato paste every day. There was a noticeable difference.

Blechh! :crazy2: :crazy2:

We were one of those Hassle Free casualties. I had it then it crashed. We will try to book once we are on board. If there aren't too many of us maybe we could book the private room if it is not taken :confused3 I heard from a WBer that it was not that difficult to do.

We have a brunch rezzie on the 24th @ 10:30 for 4.

Andy

I have updated the list (last post on the planning forum thread) with these.

Take a look at this handy little tool - I am still unsure about it as I love to have books but we are out of room and my boxes of books are now in our attic

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=401927101&pf_rd_i=507846

I saw the electronic book demo'd at the JavaONE conference last month. It seemed pretty cool. My DW wants one but needs to check what books are available before buying.

Andy

I don't think I could use that (I have a Palm that has read capabilities) since I love the way books *feel*.

I must confess, I still have this habit of bending page corners as bookmarks (even though my elementary school teachers did their best to beat it out of me, it never took).

Unfortunately, folding over the corners of LCD screens causes them to snap and sticky liquid crystal to spread everywhere. Worse, for some reason manufacturers don't seem to cover this problem under warranty, though it is obviously a manufacturing defect. So I guess I'll have to stick with paper for now.... :rolleyes1

Actually, the Kindle's screen isn't an LCD - it is "digital paper" (which I first saw many years ago at Innoventions when it was totally experimental). It "flips" pixels between white and black and then they stay that way until "flipped" again - this means that it stays at the last page you were reading until you change it. It is off most of the time and only turns on for a moment when updating to a new page which should give it very good battery life. It is supposed to be very similar to reading text on paper (not as hard on the eyes as LCD screens). There are a lot of plusses, but the cost and proprietary formats hold me back from trying it.

Does it have to be by its self...or can it be mixed with something.... I am as white as they come! LOL!

The airlines used by DCL are NWA, Continental, Delta and US Air.

Also, AA. They have booked me on AA for every cruise!

I have a question that I know DS would be mortified if he knew I was asking.

But.....

I was reading through the Best Tips thread and one person mentioned bed liners in case the little ones have accidents. Well, my not so little one still has accidents due to the medication he's taking and the fact that he is such a sound sleeper.

Is there such thing as bed liners that DCL will provide?? I've never heard it mentioned before and only 1 person in 30 pages of tips said anything about it.

I don't know the answer BUT, I may email DCL to find out..... I have had 2 that had to deal with this....

Have you called DCL, yet? Michelle2 had posted a couple of days ago that this excursion had been cancelled.

I know how frustrating that can be! On the 10nt I had booked DH, teenage dd & our youngest dd (5 at the time) on an *exclusive* type excursion through DCL, it was $300 a person but, I really felt that it would just be the perfect thing for the 3 of them..... DCL never let me know it was cancelled. They just automatically changed the ressie to the more *public* excursion to the same place ($75 a person).

Cheryl...what exactly is that you do?

She watches lots of movies. :rotfl: Actually I don't think it's the movies at all....isn't it something that has to do with the credits?

   I NEVER do things like that!!! Is it a *guy* thing??? Dh & oldest ds both do things like this!!! I like to keep my books looking brand new. Like it's a contest or something....

Well, we're off to go camping with the Girl Scouts in the rain for the weekend. I love camping, just not in the rain.

They do have a limited supply of them - in Disney terms they are called plastic mattress protectors and they can be requested from your stateroom attendant upon boarding. You can also note it on your reservation but double check when you board with the attendant

I am sure there are disposible ones you can purchase too

PS, is it just me or it this the hardest smilie to add? With all the rolling around he does, I have a hard time clicking on him..I suppose it could be my liquid lunch...:confused3 :confused3

::yes::

ETA, I am just kidding of course...

Ok, I think Im better about the excurison being canceled.

Becuase of an unrelated event, I bought a few pins (who would have ever guessed by my screen name) and I ended up getting the Prototype of the Eastbound Logo pin from 2005! It has the original edition size of 1000 before they increased it upto 2600 pins.

Nope, I have a problem with him too! I always feel the need to click right on him so I find myself chasing him with the cursor! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ah yes - I remember hearing about that when it came out. Haven't actually seen one yet. I wonder what happens when you bend over the corner of digital paper....:rolleyes1

That is exactly what I mean! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It is kind of like a fun game though...

Happy Friday everyone!!!!!

We have nothing on the calendar, so I am just chilling with a glass of wine waiting for all the kids to show up from their random friends houses. THey will all end up here for dinner I suppose, so I should scrounge up some food...

Hi everyone!

I am not even going to attempt to play ketchup..missing 2 days on here and I know I will be behind forever! I am home for about 3 hours and then off to take my mom to dinner.

So..if I have missed any birthdays - Happy Birthday!

Welcome to anyone new!

For those of you who have sent me a PM asking to order lanyards..I just got off the phone with the lanyard company and our lanyards are done and being shipping to me on Monday (umm..not sure what happened to 4-5 weeks) I am hoping that they turned out nice..I will post a picture when the come in. Hopefully they will get here before I leave on vacation. Anyways..I will count when I get them and hopefully we were on the +5% of the order and not the -5% and I will have some extra. I took everyone's order in the order they came in so what I have extra..I will let you know. I aksed if I could have the extra 25 that were ordered just made (I know they must still have it set up) and was informed no. So expect and email from me by late next week informing you if I have any extra. If I have extra beyond that ..I will post here.

Went to DCA and the GC yesterday..was really nice in the AM and then got really busy. We spent most of the afternoon in the pool and relaxing in the room. Almost got on the new Toy Story Mania..they were having a premiere for CMs..unfortunately...once I got to the entrance..I don't have the right ID.. oh well..it was a shot..I did get a picture of the cute Mr. Potato Head interactive (kinda) outside the ride...he talks to you while you are standing in line. I will try and post the picture later when DH gets home and helps me get it off of my phone.

Hopefully will make it to chat but will be kinda of late.
