We are also looking for a place to buy laundry detergent and water.

Thanks

I bet if a grocery store is the choice for the liquor, they would have the detergent. I think I am going to buy the samples and bring those.

I gotten so I really like brown alot now too! Have several pieces, that and teal.

Good for you ! I really liked it!

just stopping by to say hi.. hope everyone is having a nice weekend

Well, I had a lovely day. Weather here is beautiful. We met Krsitina and family for a picinic at a park near downtown. Went to Toys R Us so DS8 could spend his grandma birthday money, came home, made dinner, then went to the dog park. DH and I are contemplating mojitos and a movie.

Hey Kristina - it was only 75 today. I'm going to die! K got to listen to me complain about how hot it was. :)

*Update* I won it!! :yay: With shipping included: $34.50. Add alterations at around $35.00....I can live with that.

YAY! Pretty dress.

I've got more ketchup to do, but I've really got ot got get cracking on those FE. At least DS6 is out of my hair as he's watching the Indy 500 (one of two sporting events guaranteed DH as part of our marriage contract :rotfl: ) with DH.

Back Later.
.

Yeah, those fish extenders aren't going to make themselves...um, well, mine sorta is... :lmao:

BTW - I love Indy car racing. We always had great seats and pit passes for the race in Cleveland. The business my Dad owned was a local sponsor on one of the cars for several years.

My DH had to learn to love football before I would marry him. :)

Here are some pictures I took of BevMo. There are sodas and water, but the selection is rather limited. My store is on the small side though. I've been to ones that have a much bigger selection. Not sure what the Long Beach store would have but I did notice that there was a Trader Joe's right next door.

Sodas were just your typical ones, Coke, Diet Coke, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, 7Up, Diet 7Up, A&W Rootbeer, Mountain Dew, Sunkist Orange - that's all I can remember and unfortunately my pic is a bit blurry.

Water selection included spring water, sparkling water and sparkling juices.

They also have snacks, gourmet cheeses, deli meats, chips, pretzels. Again, my local store is rather small. I usually travel about 20 minutes to a better store that has a whole deli counter where they slice the meat for you. Sorry it's so blurry, almost didn't post, but figured I would so you could get a feel for it.

OMG the WB'ers are already back?
wow that went fast. :( I hope ours doesn't seem to go that fast! :scared1:

Banana boats - DCL may be looking for a new operator, but there isn't any way to know the pricing would be the same or any other details. They probably figure it is better to cancel them, then if they find a new operator and put it back in the line up, maybe they'll be calling again to find out if you want to re-book...

We've been hard at work around the yard this weekend. I managed to hit myself on the head yesterday  I was having a 'discussion' with DH as we were heading out to the car to run out for a quick dinner and managed to open the door right into my head. It really hurt and I wasn't really up for much else the rest of the evening - just took a bubble bath and finished reading a Disneyland guidebook. I have a lump on my head today and it is tender to the touch, but I seem to have survived my stupid clutzy-ness once again

Do any of the DL experts have any thoughts how doable it is to see all of DL and maybe a few things at DCA in 2 days (in August on Friday/Saturday!)? I have a feeling that we are going to have to skip Nemo if we want to see most of the rest ... Another option I've considered is buying a 3-day pass instead of the 2-day and using the one "Magic Morning" on Sunday. This would depend a LOT on when our DIS buses are leaving :thumbsup2 . If the park opens at 8am, we could maybe be there from 7am-9am and then run back to HoJo to catch the bus. I know at WDW's MK that a couple hours in the morning can get you on a LOT of rides. (We'd spend about $100 more for this for the 3 of us, but I don't know when we'll be at DL again so I would really like to see as much as possible at DL) It looks like Magic Mornings when we are there are on Sat and Sun - to hopefully, we'll have a good morning on Friday, but I assume that on Saturday the park will already have tons of people there before we can get in so the morning won't be as good. Any input would be appreciated!

KSDisneyDad is my husband and since this is all he talks about, well, I thought I would join in.

WELCOME JUNE !!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

I could never live there. You people pronounce Louisville way too weird for me! :rotfl:

More like lulllllllllll vullllll

Here's another vote for the Tide packs at Walmart...

And just like i thought...we came home a little crispy... Seems i have a streak across my back that DH "forgot" to put sunscreen on. DOH!!!!

(DD fared even worse)

WE were only out for what 2 hours or so.

You know Pamela...the other 60 or so Pirates at Hojo's would throw you overboard if we were late to the ship because we had to wait around on Sunday Morning...

I wouldn't advise it personally as i myself have gotten stuck in the park a few times as i was leaving...:rolleyes1

Even in the middle of summer, the mornings are still quite doable at DL. Especially since you're experienced and will be there at rope drop with a plan. Everyone else will wander in around 11am and try to figure out what to do.

I think you could see what you want to see with 2 full days, but if you could swing it, I'd go for the Magic Morning on Sunday. You'll be able to get so much done in those 2 hours.

If you go straight to Nemo at rope drop on a non Magic Morning, it will take at most 45 minutes to see. It will probably be less, so don't count it out completely.

So, you couldn't be a Fransiscan?

Wow . . . those are truer words than you can ever imagine.

I WAS studying for the Franciscans. My last two years of college seminary were with them as well as the novitiate. I left before making vows, mostly because I just felt I was a bit -- okay, a LOT -- too independent for community living. After I left them, I took a year off and then went back to theology studies for the diocese. The rest, as they say, is history. :thumbsup2

For those who died to keep us free and
for those who grieve the lost of loved ones,
we remember.

Just curious, what Gauge of model trains do you and Stephen like to run?

joel..has demonstrated a brillant mind for math & figures, :thumbsup2

I certainly wouldn't say brilliant:laughing: , but I was a communications major at OU who took Calculus classes to raise my GPA. :teacher: My "counselor" frowned on that. I also was didn't want to do public speech class, so I took "Sign Language" and an "Early Childhood Morphology" to avoid it.

I think I finally figured out that I needed to focus on my strengths and went into Finance. Much like your experiences, listening is key though.

BTW....CBJ 61 is my DW:hug: . I've bragged to her for 15 months about my OU buddies Sk8tingmom and Lil' Grumpy

:rotfl2: :thumbsup2 The only way I would even consider it would be if the Pirate Buses weren't leaving until 10am or later! Until we know more about how things are going at the port and how early they will let us in and can then figure out when the buses will leave, I won't be making a decision on this.

The only reason I started thinking about it is that it seems we need 1 morning to run to Indy, 1 morning to run to Space Mtn and 1 morning to run to Nemo! From the sound of the guidebooks I've been reading, by the time you've finished one of these, the lines at the others are outrageous (with Nemo being the worst) If we go with a 2-day pass, we really only get 1 morning run (Friday) since Saturday is a Magic Morning and we won't be able to do that with a 2-day pass. I suppose we could buy a 3-day just to get the magic morning on Saturday and just throw away the 3rd day (but my thrifty soul is going to have a tough time doing that! :rotfl: )

By Sunday, we should have a good idea how long it takes us to walk from HoJo to MK (we tend to be fast - we're the people that are always passing everyone else who is strolling along!) and I would only consider this if we give ourselves a good safety margin for getting back in plenty of time for the bus! Because we walk faster than most, we are good at getting through crowds - DH leads the way and DS and I follow in his path:rotfl2: I think DS actually trots his way through the parks keeping up with us!

:headache: So you are totally blaming DH for the bump on your head, right?

Hope your noggin feels better soon.

Close to 3. We're also a bit crispy.

Wow and we thought is was just because brown isn't your color. :)

My DS9 loves brown. He would wear nothing but brown shirts if I let him. He's decided to be a UPS man when he grows up.
Not sure where he stands on Franciscans.

Has anyone from the WB posted anything yet about "Ballroom under the stars"? I looked at a couple trip reports/blogs, but I haven't found anything yet....

Pamela

:headache: So you are totally blaming DH for the bump on your head, right?

Well.... only a little! :lmao: I'm blaming him more for the laughing at me part! DS9 will make a good husband someday - he told DH to "stop laughing and make sure Mom is OK!"
