This TOAL must be getting closer. We got the cases and dive bags out of the closet to see what junk we had in them from last time :rolleyes1

We're also prepping the photo gear. We're coming fully loaded for this one, but I think the 70-200mm F 2.8 will have to stay home.

Hmmm..... must by some more 8G CF cards.....Best Buy here I come :cool1:

I just wanted to share with everyone how completely cool, and astonishing, and gratifying this community is. There's no one "in charge",
yet everyone contributes what they can and no one feels compelled to do more than they are able. (At least I hope not.) We are each doing what we do best, and relying on others, with different strengths, to cover the rest.

Step back and look at what we've accomplished... website, topical forums, group clothing, group cruise navigators, activity books for the kids, special little surprises for each other, shared artwork, large and small group dining, loads of information on each port, shared excursions and experiences, more onboard activities than any one person could attend, and the list goes on, and on.

This is a huge undertaking and accomplishement for a group this size, and yet it has come together naturally. Growing and changing depending on the people involved.

We are such a testament to what a group of people can accomplish when they come together in a spirit of mutual understanding, support, tolerance, and yes humor plays a role. Yes, we've had our squabbles, but we've worked through them - gaining understanding and enriching ourselves through the experience.

I am so completely grateful to be a part of this community. And to have this experience with all of you.

Many thanks. :grouphug:

Yeah ! What she said! :thumbsup2 I want to thank everyone for what has been set up and still planning. It really make the trip extra special to share with new found friends.

Maybe they'll let us pile our bags in the seats & we can ride in the baggage section of the plane

Pretty soon, it will be cheaper to just buy a seat for our suitcase.

One window seat for Mr. American Tourister, please.

I have basic info for the mailing list, do we want to post a roster?
Basic info would be
DIS name, first names/ages, celebrations on cruise, room # or GTY and dining

Would look like this:

tom31b -- Tom*, Ellen, Chris 11, Mitch 9 -- Probably just that my wife is not killing me for getting involved in this group! -- 7503 -- Early

Or, as that really isn't celebration:

tom31b -- Tom*, Ellen, Chris 11, Mitch 9 -- -- 7503 -- Early

I think it is a great idea!

Well said. I couldn't have said it better myself.:dance3:

Yes. Time will fly...and I'll be the person still assembling FE gifts by the pool at HoJo's. :thumbsup2

I'll save you a seat at my table! ;)

I think this is a good idea. Maybe start a thread on the piratezone that can be used just for those who want to contribute all their info to a roster??? That way those who want to have their information listed can and those who don't, don't have to.

Party In My Room !!

After much hand wringing, teeth gnashing and a flurry of emails, I found out yesterday that my TA was able to get us upgraded to a CAT 6 (GTY don't ya know)

We'll be the room with the open door. Come & hang out with us !!

SWEET! That's great!!!! We'll be almost neighbors.

Off to take my nieces out to dinner. They're spending the night, so I'm not sure if I'll make it to chat or not. Have a good night all.

Cheers!

My mom pointed out that it was pretty scary that airlines are now demanding that we pay for them to lose our luggage. Considering lost luggage rates are at an all time high, doesn't it seem odd that they are now demanding that we pay extra for the opportunity . . . LOL
