DH and I have pirate: shirts ...mine of says of course: Time flies when you are having rum. Dh's says You can't be my first mate but you can be my next mate.

We bought them for a pirate themed mystery cruise.

Good morning everyone!

DH has one that says:
The Beatings Will Continue Until Morale Improves

pirate:

Because I missed it in the theaters : I'd like to see 10,000 BC.... (Oh, wait a minute.. I think I did see SOME of it as I was early for another movie and I sat through about 15 minutes of it.. but that doesn't count, does it?)....

OK .... because of the controversy with 10K BC I'd like to see the ROckey Horror Picture Show then, and thrice while embarked at midnite please!

OK... what have I missed in the past day, er... rather.... 750 postings?

I love RHPS! We used to go see it all the time. I saw it over 500 times :)

BRAG ALERT!

DS9 is FAST. Like scary fast.

His school has a running club that meets once a week in the spring & they have a track meet with 2 other schools. That was last night.

DS9 (3rd grade) ran the mile in 7:20. Only 3 5th & 6th graders beat him.

THEN after running the mile he ran 3rd leg of the 4x100 relay. He got the baton in 3rd place - handed it off in 1st by about 10 meters. Not sure how fast he ran in the relay but he's run 14 sec. 100 meters in practice.

THEN he ran the anchor leg of the 4x400 relay. He actually lapped the last place team along the last stretch.

DH has always been a runner (track and cross country in HS), he usually finished 2-3-4 in track races, won a few. And DS isn't too far off the times DH was running freshman year of HS.

The dude is FAST!

Woohoo! You have a right to brag! :yay:

I had just read that thread and responded!

I think it's wrong and IMO it doesn't make RCCL look good that they ban someone who gives them a bad review and refuses to remove it from the internet.
Yes I agree that if things were THAT BAD for them that they shouldn't want to continue to cruise with RCCL anyway- but that's not my point. LOL My point is that this doesn't give RCCL good advertisement.... who wants to give their business to a company willing to go to such lengths as this to keep people from complaining about their service and/or posting negative reviews? That doesn't sound like the type of company I'd want to do business with... (and if you read the entire article you'll see others were asked to remove negative info also- not just this one couple)

You can read my post for my other comments on this. LOL

I was reading about that on cruise critic yesterday. They are in uproar over there. :sad2:

Current pricing 2a/2c (8 & 9), no insurance, air, or transfers:

Category 05 $ 14,415.16
Category 08 $ 12,555.16
Category 09 $ 11,655.16

As frustrating as yesterday was, can you imagine paying $11-14K and discovering after you've made your payment that you can't book any Palo and most of the good excursions??

Oh, and I'm up to a $5,000 savings on my cruise!

Wow I just keep saving that DH of mine more & more money! He'll be so proud!

Hey everyone.....Laura just texted me from the Magic and wanted me to pass on this info...

Clayton..aka Hollywood ....will not be on the EBPC in August. He is starting his new job as Cruise Director on the Wonder this week.

I will be on the Wonder this Thursday so I will tell him that he will be missed by ya'll!!

Pam

THAT'S the sign or flag that I saw in the store in San Francisco over a year ago!! Should have bought it when I had the chance.

I completely forgot. I did find that store but didn't pick up anything because I couldn't remember which flag you wanted.

I've got to go back into the city before the cruise to pick up Johanna's wine. I'll have to swing over to the wharf and get the flag.

HOLLYWOOD!!!!!

I will certainly miss him :sad1: but congrats on the new job.

So..a question...

DH and I were discussing last night about the total chaos that was Sunday Night/Monday morning.

The question is....how much would you pay additional just to get to book your excursions/spa/Palo at say 110 days (before anyone else). This amount is only to have the privledge to be "front of the line" and say DCL only offered it to 5 cabins to book this privledge.

Honestly I don't think I would pay extra. I can already do that in a sense by booking a suite.

I do so very little DCL excursions that all I would be booking would be Palo and Spa. And I can live without both of those.

$0.00

Personally I wouldn't give them another dime!

Hassle free booking: zero dollars
Mickey swimming, Mickey swimming, Mickey swimming....: zero dollars
Various error messages: zero dollars
Cursing & banging the computer keys: zero dollars (unless you broke it)

Commiserating with lots & lots of Dis friends on the chat board & thread?

PRICELESS!

WOW

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting Nutritional st udies.

1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

CONCLUSION
Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

:lmao:

I will keep my eyes open and can grab some if I see them during my journeys. What sizes?

It's really too bad.
I don't think I'll be able to afford the Bud/Miller/Coors tasting now.

Where's that hurling smilie when you need him....

No way would i pay to tast scud-weiser, miller or coors. I might consider a nice cold bottle of MGD now and then.

But really we bring our own liquor on board typically because the stuff DCL serves onboard is either light or gross.

I'm with Diane..... I'm paying top $$$ for the cruise as it is and could sail elsewhere. Why should the rich get more priority over the rest of everyone?

Not all of us can afford suites. Next you'll be asking if we want to pay extra for housekeeping... or better yet maybe they'll force all cat 10-12 customers to eat in buffets only with no wait staff.

wow it is quite here today... I am almost talking to myself. I should really do some work since I am at work, but I had 2 really rough days (Friday and Monday) and need a kick in the butt now. I have so much to do, but my guys are traveling so I think I can slack a little and now you are all quite. :confused3

Quick Hello, hope everyones recovered from last night,

Welcome anyone new,

Sorry for anyone who was disappointed,

It was really just in fun....more of a "if you could" kind of thing. It had to do with being able to get what you wanted is all. I am not in a suite and I don't think that what category you stay in defines anyone. People have different reasons for the category they choose.

I just read the article. WOW.... Counselor TOM... you're really gonna get some DCL staffers in HOT water - maybe deseredly so - for the way they treated you.

I sometimes think I'm in public relations as I "manage" the relationships and issues which arise from the folks working subordinate to my contracts. It's a ton of gossip sometimes and a wrangled twisty mess of he said - she said - and I'm gonna do this and dat sometimes. And I have to just ry as best as I can to untangle it all. SO from that POV I can APPRECAITE the problems Disney has to manage. HOWEVER, they are compensated reasonably well to handle our reasonable needs - plus a few special needs from time to time.

At any rate... this is my "Star Trek ENTERPRISE" hour as it's on HD now... I goota sideline myself a buit as the commercial break is over...
