Morning , anyone doing anythnig this weekend?

Woke up this morning to about 40 hot air balloons floating in the distance against the Rocky Moutains! Today was prettier than yesterday as the sky was a nice baby blue. I'll try to post a picture later.

By 8:30 a.m. we were downtown for the Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides walk. Our team raised about $7,600! There were about 25 of us supporting my niece. Our team's name was Emma's Entourage.

After the walk, we quickly made it back home in time to get my youngest changed for a baseball game and now we're finally back home. It was "hot" today if you consider sunny and about 74 hot. With the intense Colorado sun, it did feel warmer and some of us got a little sunburn. This has been our first "nice" Saturday in a couple of months.

Tomorrow will be spent mostly doing chores and mowing for the first time this season. I guess I'll be rining in my 40th birthday on-line waiting to book some DCL excursions.

Thanks! I'll post one of today....it was even prettier.

Hey all! I think things are finally settling down. Last night got 5 more Disney dollars as I needed to get a new set of tires. DD's softball started today. Pictures and scrimmage this afternoon. Guess I should ketchup up, well try at least!

Funny thing happened at the game. DD said she wanted a hot dog and I said no, I'm going to grill chicken when we get home. She kept buggin me about the hot dog and I replied that I was going to grill children! :scared1: Freudian slip? A parent next to me started laughing and I said that I don't grill children! :lmao: Sometimes I feel like it though!

Here's a few pictures from our bedroom window this morning. Unfortunately, it just didn't quite catch how blue the sky really was this morning.

Wish they would have Disney characters or the castle balloon. It's pretty sad when you see such a gorgeous site and see the Warner Bros characters and think it'd be better if it was Disney!

Well, we finally talked to the school principals this past week about the TOAL and missing 8 1/2 days of school!:scared1:

Our two youngest attend an elementary school with a very strict principal. We really like her and the way she runs the school, but were nervous about what she'd say. She agreed that this really was a trip of a lifetime and that they would learn a lot from the cruise. She agreed to give them their math & vocab homework on August 1st for August 19th through August 29th. They can have it done before they leave. NOt sure what kind of homework my 1st grader will have as he hasn't really done much math yet except just knowing what the numbers are and he's quite bored with the kindergarten level work. Doesn't sound like there will be much make-up work when they get back. She did ask that they take lots of pictures and do a presentation to the class about their trip.

Our oldest is starting 7th grade and the school said he would know his math teacher for next year by the end of this year so we can get him started on his math in August as well. He will have some make-up work, but they said that was okay and were glad he was missing the first week and a half rather than later in the year.

Now we can really relax and enjoy the TOAL without thinking about work, school or anything else except enjoying ourselves and meeting lots of new people!!

Whoa! That is awesome!

Does anybody have the Disney Charades game? I have a friend who has the game, but she doesn't have directions for it. If you have it, do you think you can give me a copy of the directions so I can pass them on to her?

Thanks!!!

QUICK LITTLE POLL......

Regarding tomorrow night's bookings....Are you:

1. Nervous

2. Excited

And why???

Both!
1) Nervous because I won't get the excursions that we want!
2) Excited because the trip will feel all the more real!

Very pretty! Reminds me of when I used to live in Albuquerque. I used to love going to the Balloon Fiesta every October. Now I am homesick again! :sad1:

I am excited to see what we are able to get and if the system works! We are pretty good figuring stuff out on our own, so if we don't get the excursions we will be just fine winging it at the ports.

As for Palo, we have been there several times and we will survive if we don't get any times. I do think that there must be plenty of times available being that the cruise is so long. We don't have any specific dates in mind and we don't know when any of the special theme nights are, SO, not too big of a deal.

I am going to try to get a tea. We have never done that before...

I also really do want a spa treatment, do those usually sell out? Again, I assume that because we have so many days at sea, we will have plenty of openings.

What order is everyone planning on booking their stuff?

I think we will be excursion, Palo, Spa...does that seem right?

Book the ONE item that you want the most, and that you can't book on your own. Also, "SUBMIT" it right away. Nothing is guaranteed for you until you hit SUBMIT.

Hard to tell about the spa. You are right, we have lots of days....so you should be able to get something. Otherwise, hit the spa when you first get on the ship. You can probably get it then, or at least get on a wait list.

I'm glad that you are able to work out the educational issues. School is very important, but so is family!

And I love your pics!

Why would a good looking lady have a tattoo on her butt?:upsidedow

Ummmm....careful now.....you just never know who you're insulting.....
Oh wait....I'm not good looking.....never mind! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

P.S. That's not her butt. That's what the kids call a "tramp stamp".
Oops....who's being insulting NOW???

Does anybody have the Disney Charades game? I have a friend who has the game, but she doesn't have directions for it. If you have it, do you think you can give me a copy of the directions so I can pass them on to her?

Thanks!!!

We have the game and I have the instructions in front of me right now, but don't have a scanner so I can't copy them until Monday. Maybe someone else can help out.

Here are the basic instructions:

Easy cards: Yellow General Chards: Blue and a little more challenging. CHoose which ones to use and take 12 cards for each round. Shuffle the twelve cards and put them into the back of the clapboard timer. Be sure all cards are faceup with the character name in the left corner. The team with the youngest player goes first. Each game has 3 rounds with 12 cards. A round is over once all 12 cards have been guessed. The clue giver for each team is the same so it's recommended to use the youngest player as the clue giver in Round 1.

1. Start the Clapboard timer (30 seconds)
2. Look at the card and give clues (see below for rules)
3. MOve ahead after your round (see below for spaces to move for each round)

Round 1: Clues--Say anything. Say anything you want except the character's name or any word that sounds like it to get your teammates to say the name. Don't act anything out! If you get it right, move one space for each correct card. When they guess the clue, press down on the clapboard arm and Continue playing until Mickey says "Time's Up"

Round Two - Clues -- Say one Thing! Give only a one-word clue for each card. (YOunger players can get away with one phrase) For example, for Bambi, say "Deer", "Fawn", "Fire", etc. FOr each one right, move two spaces.

Round 3: Say Nothing. Act out the characters name only--no Talking allowed. FOr Snow WHite, you could hold up 7 fingers or point to something white. For each correct card, move ahead 3 spaces.

Starz! is running all three POTC movies back to back now

Oh, I hope my quote from Wedding Crashers wasn't insulting to anyone. I could care less who has a tattoo and where....I just thought of that movie when Andrew asked his question. Dh and I laughed so hard through that whole movie, I thought he was having a seizure!

Not to worry about me. I was just havin' fun.

Regarding tomorrow night's bookings....Are you:

1. Nervous

2. Excited

And why???

I'd say nervous as I'm not sure how late I'll be up and I'm NOT a night person! I'd rather wake up at 4:00 a.m. and start! We are also nervous that we won't get our first choice.
