I believe they will be also opening reservations for It's a Small World on Sunday night. There's expected to be a mad rush at the time, and most people will probably be on GTY status until well into next year. Demand will nevertheless be high, as there will be multiple ships cruising and the cruises, at 10-15 minutes, simply cost less than the equivalent DCL cruise.

The good news - a new DISboard section (IASW cruising) will be opening up to allow future voyagers to get to know each other. Personally, I'm going to try for a 3rd row outside seat on the 2:35 sailing on April 16, 2009. As a Castway club member, I'm hoping the gift will be nice and that I'll be able to get one of the shore excursions....

my kid will have one.....a great way for us all to keep track of them.....remember the contract? there are eyes everywhere....we will know if you break a rule

From what I've read, it seems that we can cancel any reservations for excursions that we make online. Is that right? Does anyone know when we have to cancel by to avoid being charged? Is it before we get on the ship?

You can reserve now and cancel later, but you must cancel by Aug 15.

Any changes and cancellations must be made up to 2 days prior to your vacation start date. After this time, all reservations are final and all tickets are non-refundable.

wow, I never noticed the spelling before....reminds me of a story/paragraph or something that was misspelled and had missing letters....a percentage of the population could read it anyway....might have been posted here at some point..

My girls were sorry it happened after they were at school. For all we know, we passed right under the raccoon in the tree on the way to school but who thought to look up to check for raccoons?

Castoff (Tina) has graciously volunteered to cohost the Mickey Ice Cream Bar Speed Eating Challenge with me. Somebody please refer a good attorney and psychiatrist for her. Ohhh.... I'm just kidding.

Soooo.... Tina was gracious enough to contribute come pricey collectible artwork as prizes for the winning Ice Cream Speedsters. I'm still doing the Award certificates signed by the ships Captain and maybe a character from the ship if I can fool them into doing it again. And.... YOUR FAMILY is responsible for snapping the priceless photos of YOU chomping away in the RACE!

At any rate - there is an official sign up thread on the PIRATE ZONE under the events not yet scheduled (as to which day). I still have copies of the PMs sent me earlier last year from those interested in joining the fun!

Tina (Castoff) from Myrtle Beach has graciously volunteered to co-host this nortoriously prestigious event!!

The event is held in TWO (3?) stages based on age... the first is for the younger folks and the 2nd obviously is for the older folks. As for where the heats will be divided (in age) remains to be seen... However, the general intent is to protect the younger piglets from the older ones. Assume that it shall divide somewhere near age 10 or 12. Or ... depending upon the numbers of participants and their ages - we may have 3 heats to encourage fair play and good spirits all around.

EVERY participant shall be entitled to a PRICELESS Certificate of Competitive Participatation signed (usually) by no less than the Captain of the Magic... and sometimes Signed by a Character. However, these character requests are usually met with extreme resistance. They are very particular about what thier characters will sign ... however, curiously they are usually UNCONCERNED as to what the captain signs.

The FASTEST competitor in each heat shall be entitled to a magnificent prize of incalculable value... a trophy of sorts if you will .... donated generously by Tina (Castoff) which I believe is FRAMED animation artwork - or framed artwork of collectible merit. Truly, it's not a "gag" award! I am not sure if we'll have one or two items - and if ONE - then it shall go to the children's races first.

At any rate, if you want to join the fun as a COMPETITOR (or comedian) in seeing how quickly YOU can consume ONE Mickey Ice Cream Bar, then please post here with the Name(s), cabin number if known and Age(s) of those willing to submit to this circus act.

The time and date for the event remains open. The location shall be in the Promenade Lounge next to the Internet Center. I shall try for a date on a SEA day just after lunch ... generally 2PM unless there is NO availabilty due to previously scheduled official events. If this is the case - every participant shall be contacted with the new time and date.

Thank You in advance for your consideration. It is NOT as much of a diet buster - or BRAIN FREEZE threat as you may suspect... go ahead ... take a chance and sign up. You can always cluck out at the last minute if ya suffer a change of heart!

I believe people are getting them for the kids too in some instances..I did get one for my DD..whether she needs it for the ship or not..as a keepsake.

I just got back from work tonight!!! I had to watch Rambo because there was an alternative ending that was never shown in theaters!! It was filmed 26 years ago!!

Congrats to whoever gets the pirate tomorrow. I will be watching Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian all day.
