Guess a lot of people are cancelling before the 90 !!!

The Cat 9 and 10 are still there.

Laurie...

This photo was taken TWENTY TWO or THREE YEARS AGO. Yeah... that's only 8,030 to 8,395 days ago not adjusting for leap years. Hard to imagine that what seems like a huge lifetime of experiences with my sweetheart only amounts to 8000-8400 days together since this photo was snapped. 8000 seems like entirely too small a number for such a huge slice of life, eh?

And yeah... we were young kids there, eh?

Gee... I just look at that picture and all kinds of memories come back to me. Can YOU remember what you were up to 22 years ago back in 1984 or 1985?

Below left ... 22 years ago. Below right ... 8 years ago... and at bottom center is an image from this past Thanksgiving in Boston...

You all look so happy in all of these photos:goodvibes You must be doing something right:thumbsup2
Darren and I met and started dating in 1985. He was a freshman and I was a senior at U of R. (caught a lot of grief from my friends for cradle robbing:rolleyes1 )
I gotta get a scanner so I can post some of our old photos.

Ok..I have played ketchup! You all were chatty while I was gone for a few hours...I am the cookie manager for our neighborhood (which means that I do all the paperwork and cookie scheduling for 30 troops in our area) and tonight was our wrap up meeting..while I was there..I found out that DD was indeed the top seller this year out of the 6000 girls in our Council who sold cookies! We are keeping it a secret from her until the cookie party that the Council gives to celebrate all the girls who sold over 500 boxes. They will announce it then and give her the prize..she won a Wii.

As for lanyards....we are currently at 86 lanyards! :woohoo: I like the wording "DCL Magic"..
Congrats to your DD:cheer2: :cheer2:
That's awesome:thumbsup2

Good morning all

Is it just me or is anyone else not inspired by the entertainment onboard the WB sailing?
A bit disappointing:guilty: I'm hoping they have something a little different for us:confused3

Looks like I saved $2300.00

Especially since I'm talking to myself.....:confused3

Okay.....confession time....before the young gals on our cruise get too excited......No Mario Lopez. The "high" source was me. I might have been that way when I came up with that silly joke.

That was HILARIOUS!!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Not exactly...I'm still working on it. I won't book anything that we can't all go on, and with a 3 year old and a 22-month old, our options are severely limited! I hope to have everything figured out by tonight or tomorrow at the latest so I can run it by DH. I'll let you know what we decide.

Kim

With anyone under the age of 10 your options are severly limited! UGH!!! I have dd that will be 7 but, she can't do the moderate activities -- she is barely 42" tall and under 40lbs.......... She is just too small for alot of theings but, to ADD for a bus tour! UGH!

Put us down for 4 lanyards - cabin # 6548......THANKS!!

I sent you a PM

Guys - FYI - we picked up our pins today and in speaking with the lady - she informed me that they will be changing the pins for the EB. This way they can get more money out of us. I'm assuming that they will keep the jumbo pins the same as this one has the same dates. This makes no sense to me - cna it bee that she's stretching it a bit?

Anyway, just thought you all would like to know. Also, I have pictures of PC merchandise but lets see if I can download them. Drats - got to get off - Steve was online and used up over 200 minutes. Be back later.

I wonder if WB has been as difficult as this group? We must have quite a reputation! Oh well they will really be missing out on a fun bunch of people if they don't respond! ;)

aton1037l.jpg

Somehow I can't imagine that they have been . . . I agree, anyone who doesn't see the appeal of a day with this group -- a day where we also sail away at the end, leaving only the echos of our laughter and chatter -- is going to miss out!:goodvibes

The Cat 9 and 10 are still there.

6:20PM...now they're gone???

Cat 4 and Cat 6 available now, the CAT 4 WAS:-

Thanks for the info

You can only hope Terri. I always got all my excursions but I never went up against all CC members!!!:scared1: :scared1:

:eeyore: :eeyore: We'll never book, we're doomed:eeyore: :eeyore:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I have some responses, but I am totally leaving this one alone :rotfl2:

Did somebody say

FREE

UPGRADES?!?!?!?

free-vista-upgrade.jpg

pixiedust: pixiedust: Here's hoping for lots of upgrades...that's the least they can do for the 1/31/07 fiasco

Tom posted a link to another private guide a while ago in case Mr Emerald doesn't come through for all of you

http://www.tourcartagena.info/
tourcartagena@cs.com
criul@yahoo.com

I posted this before, but be sure to read the reviews about this tour on CC. There were some issues

I think we'll have all we need with Cheryl dancing on the tables, M carrying around a corpse, Crash scoffing Mickey bars till he drops, etc. etc. etc.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I tried that on Mike, but it didn't work. I said, "Look honey if we wanted a cat. 6 today it would cost us almost 3K more!" He just rolled his eyes & walked away. :

They just don't GET IT :confused3 :confused3

Ok..now I am being a pest to the lanyard company as much as I am to DCL!

I have confirmed that it takes approximately 4-5 weeks to recieve the lanyards..so that I don't stress about it and get plenty of time to order and recieve them - the deadline to order them from me is going to be next Friday the 23rd. I want to allow for if there is any errors that I can get a new batch in time. They have also informed me that the saying will go on twice if I have it under 60 characters so I chose:

Pirates Through The Panama Canal - DCL Magic - August 2008

If you would like to order them..please PM me (so I don't miss anyone on the boards). They are $1.00 each and will have a clip to attach to the name tags. I will be getting plastic sleeves so that our name tags and KTTW cards will fit!

We will be going with the following colors & font:

lanyard2.png

Thank you to everyone for your input! I appreciated it. We are curently at 99 lanyards!

p.s. I PM'd Laura to see if she wanted any..didn't want her left out.

Looks great, Desiree. Maybe, see if Tom will put a blurb in the next Pirate Newsletter.

I'm pretty happy go lucky about the entertainment on the ship. I really enjoy the stage type shows most - and the filler acts for the longer cruise - well it is fine if a big name - and fine if not. I'm just happy as a fiddle to be simply ON the voyage in any capacity!

Me too. I'm just thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to go. I'm not worrying about all these little details - not everything has to be planned/scripted before I set foot on the ship.

No need to ask for forgiveness, Crash. I was responding in jest. I just thought it was interesting that the (non-traditional) stay at home dad, thought it was so shocking that a girl would take (non-traditional) shop class!

You have 2 beautiful little girls who can grow up to be anything they want to be. Isn't that cool??

I got to go into the boys' gym all the time because I was the mascot (don't ask!) ...does that make me 'pecial??? ;) ;) I'm just glad DH isn't on these Boards, I KNOW he'd have something smart-add to say about that.

Wonder if someone thought the PIF date was 90 days... did I say that out loud?

I was thinking that was coming.....

All you have to do is talk to the head bell captain who arranges the bus servie,,,,but I did warn you they do break for lunch no matter what!!:rolleyes1

Which is why I am calling for a cab. :)

There was a question a while back about changing categories and if Disney will charge prevailing rates or go by the date that the cruise was first booked

I was able to change two reservations a few weeks ago to a different category and holding the price as it was when they were first booked.

As of today they are not allowing that anymore it will be prevailing rates
I think it has to do with so many new categories showing up
Just received notification this morning

Thanks for the update.

Just checked the DCL site - interesting

If I plug in 2 adults - no insurance/air

only a CAT10 is available for $5597.58

However if I plug in 2 adults + 2 kids 12/13 - no insurance/air

A CAT 10 = $9055.16 and a CAT9 = $10155.16 is available.

Did it twice and same results.
Weird....

I paid $5952.96 for 4 for Cat 10- no ins or xfer.

Fly by post..........will have to "Ketchup" later. Can't believe how chatty everyone has been. Took Dante to groomers today & wanted to share. He still knows how cute he is.

I bought the motorola talkabout 2-way radios. Model # T8530R before I rip open package does anyone own these? Are they good & do they actually work?:confused3

Need to get ready for bible study, also wen't to post office today.;)
Did you make the annoucement yet crash?

Now this is showing for 2 people:

Category 09
Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom $ 6,597.58 incl ins and trans

I'm sorry..I didn't mean to offend..I just thought it was funny. I removed it.

Oh, good Lord, look back at the smiley face. I wasn't offended . . . just lost my appetite . . . and laughed my keister off! :rotfl:

Besides, on public forums like this, if I would take offense at anything, I would PM a person. No need to be really public since offense often means personal taste and everyone is different.

And, as I have said a time or two before in the past, I think when we hang out on these forums we all need to remember that old advice from the BBS days: Do not easily offend and do not be easily offended. If the world lived by that rule, what a better place it would be! :thumbsup2

So, at least for me, no need to apologize. I had a great laugh on a day that I needed one!
