Greetings! :yay:

Early on when this cruise was booked we had to back out because of a timing issue. I said then that the only way we could go was if we were moved to another appointment in May 2008 ......

..... we did not get moved so it is definite that we can not go with you all. :sad2:

I'm sorry to hear that! I hope all is well with y'all!

I've been there, though it's been a while... I've done Santa Fe plaza more and more recently :)

I've only been there on one of our trips! DH did offer me a shopping trip to Santa Fe if I gave up on a family trip to a family reunion in MI one year! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I choose my family reunion. :lmao:

My sundresses don't have pockets either.
I always have some sort of camera bag with me.
.

Ohh... I don't carry a camera bag -- I have a Rebel DSLR so, I just carry the camera around the ship....... The bag is HUGE! And I don't need 3 lenses on the ship. ;)

Sooo...the DCL right hand doesn't seem to know what the DCL left hand is doing...

Hey Mike - I have a case of "Mass supplies" ;) Think you can add that to your bill?

Be sure to charge DCL a 15% corking fee!

Now why didn't I think of that?!

I'm going to have to hire you as my "Mass manager!" :rotfl:

When your post number ends in 000 (1000, 2000, etc.. this post is 478, for example) you are said to have gotten a pirate:

You will see lots of nonsense (fluff) posts once the post count gets into the upper 900s . . .

sooo... one of these must be comin' up now, eh?

I received this email from a much-earlier message that I sent to DCL. Thought you would be interested:

Michael,

Thank you very much for contacting us about your future cruise onboard the Disney Magic! We would be very interested in utilizing your services for Sunday & Daily masses for our Guests.

In order to move forward, would you please provide us with a letter from your Bishop ensuring that you are in good standing, so that we can proceed with planning your services? That can be faxed to me at 407-566-3656, or mailed to me at the following address:

As far as Mass supplies, we ask that you do provide them, but we will be happy to reimburse you for the cost of these supplies once you are onboard. I will go over those details as we get closer to the sailing date.

In the meantime, please let me know if you have any other questions.

THANKS!
__________________________

I emailed them a copy of my certification of good standing -- I needed that in order to say Mass while leading a pilgrimage in Europe last fall -- and we should be on the way.

I told them that I would be happy to supply the Mass supplies in exchange for them supplying the microphone and tech. We'll see what happens! :)

I recieved my response regarding the 11-13 years old for Ocean Quest.
Here it is:

Dear Desiree,

Thank you for booking another Disney Cruise Line Vacation!

It is my pleasure to assist you with information regarding the Youth Activities on the ship.

On the Disney Magic this summer, the children's programming will be structured differently. Disney's Oceaneer Club will accommodate ages 3-7. Disney's Oceaneer Lab will be for the 8-10 years of age group. The Ocean Quest area of the ship will be the new home for ages 11-13.

Children who are registered in these areas will find an array of fun and exciting activities to participate in with other children throughout the cruise. The areas are generally open from 9:00 AM - midnight each day, except on day of embarkation, and are supervised by our trained counselors.

To see a sample of activities offered in these areas, please visit our website at www.disneycruise.com > Onboard > Activities > Oceaneer Club/Oceaneer Lab. Please remember this is just a sample list. Once on the ship, please make sure to check your Personal Navigator for specific activities being offered for the different age groups.

At Ocean Quest, the counselors will be supervising in much the same way they do in Disney's Oceaneer Lab. Those who have permission to sign themselves out of the location may do so. Those without sign out privileges can have a parent check them out.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you! Have a Magical Day!

ugh
I liked it better when it was 12-14 in the OQ. My daughter just turned 14 and I am NOT cool with her being in the "older teen" group. *sigh* It's not just her age- it's her maturity level... and the way she "follows" others and what they do and the way she isn't mature enough to for sue 100% follow the rules especialy if she's with teens that are doing things against MY rules/etc. *sigh sigh sigh*
And thank GOD my son won't be 11 on this cruise. He's still little (in stature nad somewhat in social maturity too)- he totally is looking forward to the lab... and probably would if he was 11 too! I feel sorry for the poor 11yr olds that won't get to be in the lab. :(

The Quartermaster
pirate:
Thanks for the reminder. I posted some questions back on page 44 and I just read thru the pages and NO ONE even saw my post or responded? Am I invisible again? LOL
I posted this:
"1) are we ordering shirts now? If so... where? link me please!

2) are we supposed to have the same guests/shows on as the westbound? seems it would probably be different people there since it's a whole summer away from now.. so I shouldn't hold out hope for anyone being on our cruise too, right? (except we BETTER have Mike Super... or I will just die. LOL)"

and got totally ig'd. :confused3

NO DIS GREEN !!!!!!

pirate:
WHY NOT? What do you have against Dis green? so disloyal to this site..........gosh does everything have to be black? ugh LOL

I found a place that will do the lanyards for me for $1.00 each. So...just need your order and I will collect your money on the ship. Will also need your cabin number in case I don't find you before we set off! If you are a Gty..just let me know and then let me know when you have your cabin assignment.

I will post a picture of what they look like as soon as I can get my photobucket account working again.
I'm not sure which would bother me the least- wristbands/bracelets or lanyards. But since I have no idea what someone means when they say as CC members they have lanyards..... (does that mean we'll get them on this cruise?) for a DOLLAH...... count me in on the lanyards too. that be cheap. :)

No smoke here in Central Fl.

Most of us probably already have the Lanyards as CC members. I personally do not wear it here at work. But do wear a lanyard on the ship.
how do you have the lanyards as cc members? You mean you got them on the next cruise or what?

Greetings! :yay:

..... we did not get moved so it is definite that we can not go with you all. :sad2:

And we will miss you so much, Brack! I can't find the crying emoticon....... wahhhhhhhh

AND NOW IN SUPER BIG SIZE SO YOU WILL SEE IT AND HOPEFULLY NOT IGNORE ME AGAIN......

how do you know if your CC number is linked to your ressie to KNOW that on Sunday night you'll be able to book excursions online? has anyone ever heard of a CC member it NOT showing them as cc members online and unable to book online excursions like they should be? I'm a bit worried- what happens if sunday night it doesn't recognize us as cc members to let us book that night?

AND -it's hard to book things for your entire family when you're in 2 rooms on 2 reservation numbers. can you open it up on 2 browsers so you can like do them both at the same time? I remember last time it was fairly stressful and had to make some changes because I'd book for part of the family in one room and then go to book the same excursion for the rest of the family in the other room and it wouldn't be available- lots of trial and error to finally get us all on the same excursion AND last time we didn't do "all" DCL excursions -it was mostly an issue for like palo (with one adult in one room/me and the other adult/jeff in the other room) and such. Is there some easier way to sorta do them simultaneously to avoid having to start over and over to get us all on the same excursion? different browsers- will that work? or different computers? the thing is I think both reservations are not only under their numbers but under my username/password- so I can't get on 2 browsers or 2 computers under that name username at the same time, can I?

Are we doing fish extenders? What are those anyway??

I had the same questions - Here is a photo of one that I found by searching
They hang on the fish (mail box) outside your door, therfore called a fish extender :goodvibes

oh gee....

I guess there will be one less wench to sprint past for da prize then...

< wink >

ugh
AND NOW IN SUPER BIG SIZE SO YOU WILL SEE IT AND HOPEFULLY NOT IGNORE ME AGAIN......

I can't read any of what you wrote. It actually *hurt* to try......

I didn't know the answers to your questions the other day which is why i didn't answer you.......

And if youa re asking aobut reservations with 2 rooms I don't know those answers either -- we always get a suite so, that we can all fit. That and I'm not sleeping in a seperate room from my dh for 15 nts! LOL!

sooo... one of these must be comin' up now, eh?

Well, I did say UPPER 900s, unless you were around . . .:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

BIP, did you get the Mickey mail? If you did and it says your date is May 19th for booking excursions, you are set. Otherwise, I would call DCL or have your TA do it to check.

I'm not sure about the two cabin thing; I've never done it.

On every cruise I have been on when I was a CC member, I received a lanyard for every member of the family upon check in, that says Castaway Club on it and is quite nice. I think some people just wanted to put the ID cards on the CC lanyard, but anything is fine . . .

OMG! I am trying to katchup and it changes pages every time. Is there a pirate run going on?

< wink >

Is that a challenge???? :rotfl:

I have to make a Palo ressie tonight anyway....... And some shore excursions.... I couldn't get anyone in my family to make any decisions before now! LOL!
