I have been accused of this on most vacations. I drag my families adds around all day so we don't miss anything. Cherie is really hoping that we just relax on the cruise.

What's up with tea??
Do we book tea on our own and then link everything together later?
I'm only going to tea if we have Wenches Tea. DH isn't interested and I could take it or leave it, but it would be fun to go with a group.

If you only want to do it if Chris gets it arranged, then no, you don't need to book anything.

I'm sure Chris and I will be making a mad dash to Palo again this year.

Pirate Brunch at PaloHi Pirates!

It looks like the overwhelming choice for the Pirates Brunch is Sunday the 24th. That date received 70% of the vote on the planning board.

The plan is that all who would like to brunch together will attempt to book this date for their Palo Brunch. Once we are on board ship, we will ask at Palo if they can seat us all near each other (or if some of us want to, we can ask to share tables).

I believe there are 3 times that that one can select for brunch (like 10AM, 10:30AM and 11:AM or maybe 10:30, 11:00 and 11:30). My suggestion is that we TRY to book the middle time, but if we can't get it we then go for the earlier time and lastly the later time. If we don't all end up at exactly the same time, we should still overlap since brunch usually takes quite a while!

We didn't really have a good concensus for "2nd place" for a date for this event. (The other dates only had 1 or 2 votes). Does anyone think we need a backup date? Are we likely to have trouble getting the 24th?

This is the one we're ordering...Wednesday night I think. It will arrive sometime in July. It's the new Clubman. Just a bit bigger than the Mini. Which will help, since I'm going from a YukonXL to this.

Dh said we are exempt from the 2 bag limit 'cause we booked air fare early.. I am not sure but he seems positive.. sure hope he is right.

Don't know all the airlines' rules, but American's exceptions to the new 1 bag allowance include tickets purchased before May 12, 2008; full-fare economy tickets; and Gold/Platinum/Executive Platinum members and those travelling on the same reservations.

These aren't all the exceptions but those I thought might pertain to others here. I'm sure other airlines have similar exceptions.

The times are 10:30 & 11:00 & 11:30 on the brunch..all sea days are still showing available except the 21st at 10:30 and the 27th at 11:00. They say that there are no ressies available.

One thing I noticed..when I put in for 2 people..all 3 times showed..when I put in for 4..only 10:30 and 11:00 showed.

For all the Wench's signed up for the private diining room Brunch - perhaps we should all book brunch on the 23rd - then if our request is denied - we would still all be brunching together????????????
Just a thought - I had no problems for the Aug. Med Repo but I understand that the room has been requested for all sea days.

Also, even if only half of us got it, we could all go -- a table for 1/2 is the smallest you can reserve. . . good idea, Chris!

Quite a size difference from a Yukon. I was a little freaked out being so close to the ground what I got my new car, and I was only going from an Explorer to a Mustang.

On another note, it is interesting (and cool) to see the wide variety of priorities people bring to the cruise. I always book the lowest category because history has shown that I spend very little time looking out of windows or sitting on verandas (I've sailed as high as category 4). Though, if they do upgrade us, we won't turn them down

I agree, it is cool to see the different priorities...

It is VERY important to me in our family stage to have a verandah. We still have a little one that naps so whoever is stuck in the room with her can sit outside and relax...

Also, I am an early morning riser with a bunch of sleepy head family members, so I go up and get some coffee and then sit outside while I wait for everyone else to wake up.

Also, as I was saying to my DD14 the other day, it is great that others are able to book the cruise now, but we need to have adjoining room or a Cat. 1 or 2. With 7 of us, it is important to me that we are with the kids AND that I am with my husband. If we weren't able to get adjoining rooms, we wouldn't have gone. So we thank and appreciate our TA VERY VERY much.

Although, she did tell me there was no such thing as a waiting list for the suites when I asked her to put me on it. So I am not sure if she was being lazy or didn't know...but I didn't feel very good about that...unless there really isn't one. But I sent her an email about 4 weeks ago with about 10 questions and she didn't reply for awhile so I resent it and she said their longtime family dog had passed and she wasn't up to doing anything.

Then when she responded a few days later, the answers were very brief and didn't actually answer anything. So I just must have caught her at a really really bad time. She is typically WONDERFUL. So, what will be will be, I am not worried!

M, The stone massage is rotten, terrible, horrible. It's the kind of massage that only non-shunned, non-beer drinking, non-sports lovin' people would get. You, and everyone else should absolutely not try to book it on Monday night.

OK all so frustrated with my blog - for some reason - cannot post pictures no matter what resolution I have. Guess I'll have to wait until I land to figure it out. Anyway, just wanted to post the reason for the blackout on the cameras. Guess if they wanted to keep it secret they shouldn't have let about 400 DIS-sers anywhere near it.

BTW, I didn't post it cuz I'm on my 2nd 500 package for the internet. Another $150 down the drain - but here is my picture. I had another one but it showed some sailor in shorts! YOWSA! Dang - I miss that smiley!

FYI - this was taken with my 100-400m lens at full out power. Not bad huh? Guess they didn't think I'd zoom in! OH OH! Does this mean I'll have Uncle Sam on me now? Big Brother?

Hi,

I tried to book Dolphins Swim direct both in PV and Cabo and they respoded that Disney booked the entire day so I have to book thru DCL!!! Big price difference - in PV for the Dolphin Kids - direct = $54 - w/DCL $105!!!

BTW - I sent an email to the PV Zip tour folks - I'm hoping they stil have some openings!!

Excursions -I only need to book a Dophin Kids in Cabo & Cartegena City tour (as back up if Mr. Emerald doesn't come thru).
With Palo - as has been mentioned - it's difficult when we don't know specific dates for formal & semi-formal.

Leaving soon to go to a press preview of the new Indiana Jones film.

Chris, enjoy it for me. Huge Indiana Jones fan..........Next Wednesday Night at 12:01 !!!

OK, for the Pirate Brunch, we'll each TRY to get Sunday the 24th at 11:00AM. If that isn't available, then 10:30 and then 11:30. Once we are on board we'll try to arrange with Palo to seat us all in the same area of the restaurant.
