8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #5

We have ours, but that's why I thought the info in the DCL brochure was confusing -- what about the Westbound Repo?

I noticed in the media coverage (last week??) that there is something to the effect that cruises starting in one US Port and ending in a different US Port would require passports...so maybe that explains it. I'm not sure. I don't know the details and had asked about others thoughts on this, hoping someone who knew more than I did could help...but didn't get an answer... I am not sure if this is something new (I had not heard of it before) or if it is in effect for the May cruise......

Hey Roger- apparantly I cannot access your blog from work. Do you know of any other transportation services from LAX to San Pedro besides Super Shuttle and Proto Limos?

Coral here is the other major shuttle service in LA Primetime Shuttle. We have only used Supershuttle but I have heard good things about Primetime. This probably the one that we will be taking.

Contacted DCL again about theme nights and such - here is the response I received back today:

Thank you for your e-mail. It's great to hear from you again--sounds
like someone is excited about their Panama Canal Cruise in August.

We, too, are still waiting for the final announcement regarding the
dining schedule for the 15 Night Eastbound Panama Canal sailing. Please
check back with me next month to see if the announcement has been made
yet or you may contact our Reservations Department at 800-939-2784
Monday - Friday 8:00am to 10:00pm (EST) or Saturday - Sunday 9:00am -
8:00pm (EST).

Received both the official DCL cruise guide last night and my passporter, so didn't have much time to really look at either one. However, I noticed that the passporter spent a lot of time talking about the Queen Mary and its restaurants. Have you tried any of those? Is the Queen Mary as great as they say it is -- not sure I'd want to stay there, but it does seem close to the Magic.

I had started to look into the Queen Mary. We had thought we might spend Sat night there - still think it would be cool! DH and DD are very interested in the haunted aspect, we are still considering a tour. We decided using Hilton points would be best...... Anyway, I know the restaurants looked nice and that they also offer a nice Sunday brunch (- like the idea of the brunch, but time wise and money wise, it makes more sense for us to have a light bf and wait until we are on board):

I have one in red/white/blue on my toe

I thought the cliff divers thing is in the afternoon or evening though? Will they be changing that so we can still do those tours even though we're only in Acupulco early morning to like 1pm?

DCL will have a morning cliff diver tour that they worked out with the divers due to the early port time

I doubt they will change to accommodate excursions. Excursions are built around the times in port.
They must have made special arrangements to get the Cliff Divers in the am.

Monday - Friday 8:00am to 10:00pm (EST) or Saturday - Sunday 9:00am -
8:00pm (EST).

The problem with this is that anyone in a suite that is paid in full can start booking their Palo, etc reservations on May 4th and I am sure they would like to know before that point what the theme nights are. I have been in contact with everyone that I know at DCL and they do not have any info at all. They are getting fustrated too because they are getting daily phone calls :rolleyes1 from people asking for this information.

I have no adornments other than 1 single piercing in both ears on my entire body.
I bet my life savings it will stay that way until my death. :rotfl2:
I do like my jewelry so I guess that will be my adornment. :)

:scared1: Next month we are going to be making Palo ressies. Don't they know that we are a bunch of OCPers and have to know this stuff. Are they going to wait until 5/18 to let us know. :sad2:

Me too! I didn't even get the single piercings until I was into my 20's - just doing that to my body freaked me out and it took years to talk myself into it :rotfl2:

OMG! You have to see these. I want to try them on and take pictures. Perfect if the numptuals take place in a French castle, the Matron of Honor is a Teapot & the best man is a candelabra.

I ordered the light blue one for one of the formal nights. Ya know I really don't appreciate being made fun of like that!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think we'll be going with the DCL excursion for this one too.

We will too if they offer it that is.

"My" packet will be coming through Brendan...He probably already has it but won't tell me!

Chrissie

We got ours today so Brendan probably will too. :yay:

Too funny!
Megan and Miranda think life begins when you are 12. They can sit in the front seat for the 1st time in the car, they get a cell phone and then can get their ears pierced.
Funny but Megan will be 12 in July and she has absolutely no desire to get her ears pierced. I am sure at some point she will change her mind but glad she is in no hurry.
It might have something to do with the fact that our next door neighbor, who is in Megan's class got her ears infected and it was GROSS! Or the fact that one of Miranda's friend got 1 ear pierced and said it hurt so bad she never went back and had the other one done. There is a 7 year old walking around with 1 ear pierced.:rotfl2:

Still none for me!

But on the plus side, the fish extender that we ordered off eBay came today, and it looks cute. Much better than Linda and I could have made.

DS is so nervous about flying by himself. I gave him 2 bags to decide on. The carryon wheely and a small suitcase. The deal breaker on taking the carryon was his toiletries.:sad2: He needs to take his hair products and a razor. We lent him an electric razor and I offered to put his junk in the small containers for him. When we picked him up this am he had the wheelie but decided to take his razor and all so he checked the darn thing
He got thru the security ok and said they didn't ask to turn on his laptop. He had something to eat and was waiting at the gate. I got him there mucho early..... Kids......He is so nervous.

Left the house at 6:10 and after waiting for him to come down, got on I-4 7 and dropped him off at 7:29. Total travel time 1hr and 50 min.( 15 min wait time for him :lmao: ) And they say we women take long. Not bad.
Last time I got up early was when DD was skating and had to be at the rink before 6. Long long time ago.

Off to make breakfast.

So when should I expect him?

What's he doing out this way? Business or wine drinking? Or both?? :rotfl:

I know ZIP about NASCAR.
If you had the chance to drive 4 blocks to get Jimmy Johnson and some other NASCAR guy's autograph, would you do it?
They are going to be at my local Jimmy Johns's (Can you say "I would like a #1 w/ all veggies?" Yum!!!) this afternoon signing autographs. I have ZERO NASCAR memorabilia for them to sign.
I was telling my cousin about my old neighbors that would have the most obnoxious NASCAR parties. He said "I love NASCAR". I said "That is because you are a redneck hick". Every summer at our family reunuion we collect all NASCAR stuff we can and trade it back and forth. He knows I hate it so it is the running joke!
What can I have them autograph?

Yes, I think I will just put the girls to bed the night before in their clothes since they are not good morning people at the best of times.
When we are at WDW even the Mickey phone call does not do it.
For the 1st time I am contemplating getting up for ropedrop by myself and meeting up w/ the rest of them later in our June trip. Makes for a conflict-free morning.

My DS has never heard the Mickey phone call. He won't wake up unless I yell at him to get up. By that time the call's over.

Tatoos. My DD just got 2 more. She is doing the kids names:confused3 She has Morgans name on her wrist and put some waves around it as he is an aquarius. Sabrinas name she got out of a book written by an English writer. About 8 lines on her shoulder. She hasn't decided on Wesley yet!!!!!!! I asked her if she did it to remember their names :lmao: :lmao:

DS is on his way to DFW and then connecting to Reno.

By the way, speaking of Acapulco, this link is really informative http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=789070

Reno? I thought a few days ago you said Napa or do I just have Napa on the brain??

Take your car and have him autograph it. :lmao: Think of the resell value.

That's why I got a luggage scale at Target for under $10. Now I can repack before the airport!

Hey If I got the DCL pack this week yours should be coming soon. Our PO is so slow here. :snail:

I'll be visiting you on the last night. Should we set up a schedule for the scale??
