:wave2: everyone - my turn to get sick. Got hit pretty hard on Saturday with what I suspect was some bad :fish: from McDee's. Did I mention how I've always hated that place? But it was Friday after all. Who knows. I felt something Sat morn and by Sat evening - I think I even posted I wasn't feeling well. Took to my bed and woke up Sunday - totally grossed out.

Did I mention to anyone how much of a baby I am when it comes to stomach ailments? I would prefer to have a baby than to be nauseous. This is almost as bad as a gallbladder attach. Anyway, got up a few minutes and am going to head back to bed - and if anyone knows me at all - that means I am totally  - my kids refer to me as the engine that never stops.

I feel the most bad for my furrkids - they wanted a walk so bad but momma was just too sick. Maybe with time change I can managed a walk around the block. We shall see. Later all!

Laura...

... my Doc told us the thing going around is often a 3 day viral bug. However if not - then it seems to be a thing that MIGHT linger for several weeks. May I encourage you to give it 3 days to evolve - at most - then go see a doc and get some good medications to fight it quick and effectively.

My little girl was at 3 days last nite at 8PM... now shes' at 91hours into it - almost 4 days worth - and shes' over her fever for the most part but we kept her home cuz this morning she still got a 103 fever spike at 5AM. That was 11 hours ago - and now shes'hovering at 100-99 all day. I think shes' more or less over it - but I'll have to see how she fares over night. If the evening goes well then I did the right thing in not going in to the doc today - if not then she WILL see a doc tomorrow and I hope that will spell the real beginning of the end.

Aside from all that - I never asked what your actual symptomns were - but I mean well... and hope the best for ya during these rotten moments.

May I suggest in closing that ya pull out your most entertaining comedies and watch 'em on TV. That sort of stuff is always good foor for the soul!

Losing track of which daughter is sick Crash:confused3 Make sure you and your DW don't get it :sad2: :grouphug:

It's the older one who is wounded. And it's too late for Mama it seems as she was runnin a low grade fever yesterday... and as for me - I had a low grade fever yesterday for a whle but I'm nominally sure I shook it. As for Alicia ... I dunno yet - and won't know til I see her later tonite.

I have ta go to the local school board auditorium for a Pre-K meeting. They're offerrin' a Special Kindnetgarten session for kids entering who are among the younger kids... IE , born near the cut off of December 2nd or reativey near that. SO they're gonna explain the nature of the program tonight - and I'll be out to check that out.

Hmm.. out to check out... that's sort of like a double negative - so I should have really just said I'd be IN that meeting. :upsidedow

And I voted for the man...:sad2:

Arrrgh! I did, too! Actually, I've been busy and out of touch and only found out because it was all anyone could talk about at a board meeting I was in this evening . . . I had to come home and fill myself in on the story. I feel so sorry for his teenaged daughters, having to deal with the embarrassment of this . . .

I'm sooo confused....

Yes, apparently Gov. Elliott Spitzer is under Federal Indictment as Defendant #9 in a scandal involving a call girl company based out of Washington DC. The news broke this afternoon and has, for the most part, been all over the local and national media. I've heard conflicting stories as to whether or not he is resigning willingly or under our state consitutional law.

I had rather high hopes for him as governor based upon his tenor as our Atty General. To say that this will put our state government, which is already a mess and makes partisan politics in DC look like childs play, into a free-fall is probably an understatement.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: You are cracking me up!! Thanks for the laughs and good luck!

Update on my ankle....................tendonitis and 3 weeks of physical therapy says the orpthopeadic. This guys actually knew what he was doing AND he really examined my ankle. The cortison has kicked in and at least I am moving around on it. I am starting a new fashion trend though, a lovely BIG BLACK BOOT on one foot and a nice Aasics riunning show on the other - school kids will love it! Start PT tomorrow and go back to work on Wednesday - I actually miss my kids at school and I know they will be happy to have me back in the classroom. Thanks for all the wonderful wishes from everyone, you guys are sure a great bunch. Can't wait to meet you in August - Oh yeah, did I tell you we are paid in full????

   PIF

I'm still trying to get rid of the coughing. I can't catch up on sleep:sad2:
The fever was gone after three days though. Hope you guys feel better soon:hug:
No colds allowed in August:scared:

Quick question:

Was thinking of going ahead and buying our park hoppers passes now (with our tax refund). I can buy them at the Disney Store - these are the same prices as the website but we get the actual plastic card ticket instead of paper.

Others have been getting their tickets at getawaytoday.com. These tickets are picked up at the will call window, $10 more BUT have two early entry days attached to them.

Which one would you do?

I'm going with getaway so that we can take advantage of the EMH.

Add me to the list.:sad2:
I can't believe how much he paid! That could have covered my TOAL and a few prettty drinks.

OK, back from Singapore. They boys passports will be mailed on Friday. I opted to not go back this afternoon to pick them up. The "Will Call" line was out the door, plus the whole strip search thing. Even the supervisor I talked to basically said "that was stupid" only in not so many words.

Crisis solved. Yay!

I can't multi-quote on my crackberry for some reason - both of those deserved a :lmao:

Sounds like a not-so-bad ending to a medical annoyance. Get well soon :flower3:

Did you get to see the Office of the chuckle-head?

So after dealing with the U.S. Govt. to get the issue addressed, you are going to allow the U.S. Postal Service to have a crack at messing things up?

I can pack heat into the post office.

Good thing ya left yer "piece" out by the car. We wouldn't want ya tempted inta goin' "postal" over this!

I could probably build that with the spare parts we have around the house!

My spouse and I have often quipped (and seen otherwise in real life) that power and extreme wealth sometimes currupts. Not to say I am without sin (I am eternally - completely INNOCENT though). Iam saying that as the wealth and power mounts - it seems that the temptation and exercise of Sins - in one form or another seem prevailant. Or rather, it just seems to make the news as it's news worthy (it sells for ad dollars).

Maybe this sort of thing si more prevailant then some of us think? Maybe it's NOT. Honestly, for example... I have NEVER seen what a narcotic looks like - such is the nature of my innocence... yet my spouse has seen illegal narcotics in her college days. And she is staunchly clear that she has NEVER taken or tried any illegal narcotics. As for anything else that's a sin... I'm afraid you're gonna have to ask me in an itemized manner as I've got a weak memory for many things in my old age.... :goodvibes

In advance, my answer is NO (maybe) to everything, and Yes I am INNOCENT of that... I never inhaled... I never looked... or opened my eyes... or heard, or was in Texas...nor was I "on planet" at that time... etc...

Can't help you choose. But just want to warn you about the Disney Store tickets. It is absolutely imparative that you get 2 receipts from them. One will be for the cost of the tickets, the other will be for the activation of the tickets. When I went down last May, my APs had expired, so I got hoppers from the Disney Store. I doubled checked before I left the store, they said I had all I needed. Got to the park and couldn't get in. Went to Guest Services with my receipt from the store. They wouldn't do anything about it, if I wanted in the park I had to buy new tickets. Aparently the Disney Store didn't activate the tickets and my receipt from payment didn't prove anything. It could have been a receipt for some other set of plastic cards, not necessarily the cards I had in my hand. Had to sort it out when I got back home. But even then, the Disney Store said that they only give 1 receipt. What a mess!

Laura, that sounds awful! Hope you're all better by tomorrow.

I'm still coughing and dragging my backside. Just so long as I'm good to go on Friday....that's all I care about. I know the cough will hang for weeks.

I bought Jordan's park hopper at AAA. I hope I don't have any problems with it.

especially if your kids have imaginary but official passports already

or you're in the mood for a good strip search

Please define a good strip search. The ones I have been involved with have never been fun or good. You Usually end up seeing someone sans clothes that you don’t ever want to see like that :scared1: . This was one of the perils of being a Military Police officer
