Wow, that sounds like so much fun! Is it just a weekend cruise? Do all passengers participate?

Not everyone participates..it is a separate company that runs them..you book your regular room thru the cruise line and you pay the mystery company $99 for participating.

Each evening before dinner - there is a "show" in a lounge where the actors perform the story (we have been on 2 others - each one is a different theme..we have done pirates and a wedding - this one is the mob) and then we all have dinner together where the actors come around in character and answer questions. On Sunday - you go in to review the clues and put down who you think did it and why/how...on Sunday evening..there is a party with drinks and food and the announcement of who solved it and won a gift basket...DD came in 2nd on our first one...she got everything right but why they did it. Some things/jokes are a little risque but over all it is just fun.

Then after the reveal..the actors will sit and talk with everyone and take pictures. Here is a picture of Tori with the pirate cast.

This is David dressed up from RockingBar D the last night of the cruise. He came to say bye to all of us.

I have to go figure out to down load on to picture site. I just contacted Photobucket and I had to trouble shoot something in internet options as my photobucket would not work.

Cheryl - Great photos, but why aren't you putting them over at Smugmug on the photosharing site? We even have a section setup over there for food porn!

I've been really enjoying seeing other people's photos. It is great when you find one that you wish you had taken! It is also great when you find one of you or your family that you didn't even know someone took

Uploading is really pretty easy (its the sorting and organizing that takes so darn long!) and it would be fantastic if EVERYONE would upload photos. Can you image if 100 people all uploaded photos? Wouldn't that be cool?

... how exactly did you order such a delectible arrangement like this? Was it room service or ???? By special request we had king crab legs grought to our dining table but this shrimp array loks realy terriffic!

Last Oct they let us bring purses in ... maybe they have changed it since then? I know..it is not nearly as tame...I do not offend easily so I'm okay but I definitely know what you mean.

So why is it that they disallow purses in this event? Are they thinking some folks might be "packing"?

Pamela.........I had to figure what was wrong with computer.........I could not see youtube and solved that problem. I could not get photobucket to work and solved that problem(with their help).

My next priority is to figure out Smug Mug!!!

I had initial difficulty when the link was 1st emailed to me. I should revisit this to try again... and I need to start sorting and processing my 2800+ photos.

I told our server and the head server I only liked to eat shrimp, lobster and pasta.( I hate steak) I got our wish every night with a platter of shrimp for the entire table so I could share.

I just finished transferring photos from memory cards to computer today. I know there's lots of junk ones, but at the moment I have 2200 to sift through.

I had never seen the game until last year on RCL... I was amazed at the things people were will to do ..and fast too...men running up in their underwear, wearing women's bras..etc I never laughed so hard...that was until DH and the ventriloquist (sp?) on our cruise...we are going on our murder-mystery cruise with a group of friends so I know we already have a team!

That night was so much fun. Between the dummy hitting on Tina and Richard - I was laughing so much. Thanks for the memories. Hope John posts the video.

Somehow, Michelle managed to get Agos to bring some crab legs to our table the next night after we saw your platter. Thanks, they were really good.

Maybe it was just on the ship that we were on that you weren't allowed to bring anything in. That way people who had seen the game before couldn't come in prepared for the search. Everything they wanted were things that you would normally have on your person.

I did not go to the one on DCL so I can only speak to my experience on RCCL.

Hi folks sorry I've been missing, there's this thing called work it really gets in the way.
Plus yes I brought the nasty fluey thing back to the UK with me, I'm finally feeling a little better.

I've unpacked and washed and put away tonight I sorted my FE gifts, they were all amazing, I read somewhere that people wanted some pics of the gifts I took some tonight whilst they were spread across my desk and once I've worked it out I'll upload to the smugmug site.

I've caught up with the thread but I forgot to press quote so if you'll bear with me
1. I didn't take a photo of my door so if anyone has one I'd be grateful

2, We saw Cheryls Shrimp each night so Micco asked for shrimp too the platters were amazing and really yummy.


3. Oh the memories of the quest, Debi's husband Micco was up there in my bra, because I too did a lot of camping in my youth and can get a bra off in seconds the easy way, but It didn't occur to me to go to the ladies room so i also manged to replace it the same way!!!!LOL Why oh Why didn't I get up and go to the ladies room DUH!!

Next post cruise task is picture sorting, I think we have some good ones I saw some of the sunset in cartegena we were up on deck for that too and have some lovely shots.
Great to meet everyone I hope we can cruise with yuo again sometime, certainly if any of you find yourself in the UK around the Southampton area in 2010 for any reason, I live about 30 mins away and would be happy to orgainise meets, excursions or travel info please drop me a line

Finally got the phone call I had been waiting for. Now I know why it took so long to get it. They chose someone else and they accepted, so no job for me.

I honestly didn't expect the first job I interviewed for to be the one but it's still a let down that I didn't get it.

Back to the hunt.

How frustrating
Monica I was passed over in favor of someone else and kept calling until another position opened up a few months later and they hired me then. Not that you would want to wait months for the job, but you never know what doors may open because of interviews.
Hope something comes through for you soon.

We loved the Jolly Pirates too! Our favorite was when Coral did that double back flip off the rope swing!

That must have been after my back flip off the rope swing cause I missed it.

The bus ride back to the pier was about one of the craziest bus rides I've ever had! Even the bus driver was having a good time, driving around in circles. My camera battery was dead by then, so I'm hoping that somebody posts some pictures to the photo sharing site.

Darren was telling me about that party. We have a couple of pics but nothing really good (hard to dance in a crowded bus apparently). Heard the driver used the traffic circle to extend the party a bit too

Sorry if I ignored anyone. I did not intend to ingnore anyone. I was at the front in RBD sometimes at night. I was in RBD every night. I had a walking boot on my right foot and crutches for the cruise. I was also in a wheelchair as well on and off throughout the cruise. I was also dubbed the "Rock Star" or "Party Animal" As I was on the dance floor every night with my crutches. I was affectionately called those things by the cruise staff and some fellow passengers.

Good news- I no longer have a fracture in my foot. The part that was fractured is still much narrower then the rest of the bone. So I have to wear the walking boot for 2 more weeks. I have to go back again on October 21st to make sure everything is still good. The doctor seemed surprised and impressed that it was healing on its own.

Glad your foot healed so well Becky and that it didn't keep you from having a good time

I did not go to the one on DCL so I can only speak to my experience on RCCL.

I have only gone once so anything is possible..I didn't bring my purse but our friend had seen it and brought hers....they asked for things like driver's licenses, lipstick, and pictures of kids...either way it will be fun. DCL used things you would have on your person but didn't stop us from bringing in purses.
