I'm not used to this as I DRIVE usually! If we just went with our original plan all would be well and we would be almost to Oklahoma by now.

Gee, I am not getting much work done today am I? Oh well I still have 3 days to do it all. DH is so worried his boss will mess up his jobs while he is gone. Now my boss sits in another state and knows almost nothing about what I do. So it is up to my staff to hold it all together.

IGlad it worked out. I just found out today I need to re-book for next May while on board. I know someone who's getting married.

Checked bag. I know it's being excessively paranoid, but my laptop is in my carry-on, and hard drives are magnetic. Sure the door magnet is weak and the drive shielded, but I'm still old fashioned enough to want nothing even remotely magnetic near my laptop.

No, due to some paperwork issues and some things that were done terribly wrong by the county, we were not able to adopt the 2 girls we were going for. It was heartbreaking, and really tough emotionally for both of us. It's been a year (one year on Sunday to be exact...). I still think about those girls all the time and wonder where they are and who they're with.

But things are going well for us now, and we're settling into our new house. We're finishing up on a bathroom remodel, and then we're going to put the nursery together . We're having a home visit from the state (we'll need our homestudy rewritten to reflect that we've moved, and we need to have the house approved). Then we're going on the list to foster newborn babies. We're going into it knowing that they'll likely go back to their bio families, but we do hope to adopt one of them someday.

Anyhow, I won't bore you with any more details. You all have more important things to do, like pack and get started on your vacation!!!

Have a GREAT time everyone!! I'll be thinking about you all!!

Yep! My mom, Sis , DD and I are driving home...we have made the round trip twice before and last year did a round trip to Michigan so it's not to bad.

Well, I must get going. I have to go sign DDs up for dance. My ST has decided that after 10 years she doesn't want to do it any more. She got tired of trying to finish her homework on Wednesdays (her dance night) and since she is starting HS, she wants to be more free for other things. I think it is getting too clicky for her also.

Now DD 9 wants to take an exra class since her sister isn't doing any. How young minds work... I usually have never let them take jazz, would be too much for DH to handle and I don't like the things they usually have the girls do. I'll tell her what I always do...we'll wait til right before they do costume orders and I'll see what the dance they will be doing is like...with the answer already in my head now. Last years wasn't so bad though.
