Poly too loud? Try the food court at the All-Stars!!! We enjoyed our stay at the Poly, but I do not share everyone's enthusiasm for Tonga Toast. Way too sweet!

One of the reasons we stay at the Grand Floridian is because it is quiet.... usually.

Middle of MO? My mom is from Wellsville (pop. 1,100) & my dad is from Martinsburg(pop. 300) biggest, nearest town is Mexico.
A few months after I was born a guy she knew (from back home) named his dd my same name....... My mom was NOT happy! LOL!

Where's Wellsville? I'm from Sweet Springs...population about 1,500. Big compared to your parent's home towns. Sweet Springs is half-way between KC and Columbia on I-70.

I'm so jealous! So many of you are staying at WDW after the cruise!

I'm going from Port Canaveral to Orlando Airport and flying home to NY. I go to work the next day!!! I want to go on the cruise but there's a part of me that doesn't want to go....

I would have had to work the next day too if not for the circumstances. But DS will have to go to school. He's already missing 4 days.

Have you ever been to the Grand Floridian at Christmas time? One word......Beautiful !!!

Make sure that the boxes are small enough to be able to fit through the xray machines and then also make sure you have a sharpie marker with you and put your name and stateroom all over the box. Also put what is in the box (for example - we put candy for gifts) on the outside so if the customs dogs hit on the box... they won't have to open it - we did that and it was fine. BUT it MUST fit through the exray machine to check it or we had to carry it (hand searched).

They're computer paper boxes,the kind that hold a ream.

We are ready to start TOAL. Four bags each between 45 - 48 pounds. Three carry ons. Not too bad for 4 of us leaving for a 20 day vacation. Trip starts 5 am tomorrow as we leave for the airport in Westchester NY. Can't wait to see what we may have forgotten to pack!!!

Tomorrow this time we should be resting in Southern CA!

OK I had to read that a few times....I thought you were saying that each of you had 4 bags....

That would be awesome and would love for it to happen...but I'm a teacher and I don't know if my principal would appreciate that...I wouldn't mind, though.

We are in the same boat! We are both teachers and start school on Tuesday the 2nd of September. Non-teachers do not understand how difficult it is to start back to school. They just tell us that we should enjoy our long summer vacation and get back to work in September. At least our sons get to start on Wednesday the 3rd.

We are in the same boat! We are both teachers and start school on Tuesday the 2nd of September. Non-teachers do not understand how difficult it is to start back to school. They just tell us that we should enjoy our long summer vacation and get back to work in September. At least our sons get to start on Wednesday the 3rd.

Well, we have a meeting that Tuesday, and then half of my kids come on Wednesday and the rest come on Thursday (I teach 3 & 4 year olds.) My classroom is not really set up, and I have grad classes starting that Thursday after school. My first week is going to stink!

Right there with you on this one.

It took DS 2 hours to bring out the clothes he wanted to take. Then I still had to go through his closet and get the other half he missed.

I've asked him to vacuum and sweep the floors. Still not done yet....heck not even started.

My suggestion is to try selling your house for MONTHS!!! Kids get REALLY good at cleaning up QUICK!!!

We are 95% packed for our Wednesday departure (thanks DW). We will have 4 checked bags and 1 (maybe 2) carryons (for 4 of us).

Printed my door magnets (they look awesome). Roaming Gnome - fantastic.

I still have an FE problem... but am working on plan B.

Insurance... done.

We are in the home stretch now.

Yeah, working on Sept 2 myself... I am actually hoping that my flight home gets cancelled until later in the day. I would love to do Blizzard Beach.

I want to get bumped off my flight in Orlando. That would be the perfect ending to a TOAL.
