All Pirates Sailing on the Jolly Roger/Jolly Pirate in Aruba



I have been in correspondence with my new buddy Carla at the Jolly Pirate in Aruba today and she has offered to send buses to pick us up at the ship for free!! We will have to find our own way back but I thought this was a very gracious offer from her. She has made a request that we do not meet up and come out as a group since there is no way that they can load the buses or boats if we all show up in mass. She has requested that we all meander to the cruise terminal and meet her awaiting personnel who will take our web confirmations and give us boarding cards for the buses. I believe that the cruise terminal probably has some shops to look around. Carla prefers it this way so that everyone is not waiting around. They can not handle all of us at once. As a bus fills it will leave for the boat. I still need to get back with her for what time we need to meet her. I will have further updates before we leave or on the ship. I will re-post this on the Pirate Zone and again after the run which looks to be under way.​

I got a call from the company I interviewed with. They are in the final selection process and asked that I provide them 3 references. I've sent those off so we'll see what happens.

I never met another Stephanie until I was in High School...... Now I met them all the time..BUT they are all younger then me.

I'm a Melissa...in some of my undergrad classes, there were 4 of us! This is probably half of the reason why I hate my name.

I hate my name so much I don't even use it - I go by my nickname, even professionally. The only things I use my given name for are legal (drivers license, credit cards, etc.). If someone calls me by my real name I don't answer because I don't think they're talking to me!

I grew up in a very small down in the middle of Missouri...no other Christopher's or Chris's in my class, but there were three of us with the exact same birthday.

The total # of kids in my grade was less than 40 (and we had one of the largest grades in school so each year they had to break us up into two classes).

When I started KPMG, there were three other Chris' in the department. Even though I use my full name, everyone seemed to find it easier to call me by my last name. Thank goodness that didn't last after I left KPMG.

We'll be doing curbside checkin as my DMIL is dropping us off at the airport.

Wow, our flight is scheduled to arrive at LAX at 12:35 PM. Hopefully we'll have our luggage before you land! If not, we'll see you at the luggage carousel!

We arrive on Delta at 12:40 coming from Atlanta. Maybe our sons will see your sons at the airport.
