Yes. And I saw y'all in MK sevreal times -- but, I didn't say anything since I thought it would start looking like I was stalking y'all! :rotfl:

Aw you should've said something!! It's not too big of a surprise that we'd do the same things :) I must've either been totally oblivious or chasing a toddler that doesn't want to hold hands or be held....

Hmmm - I just asked a friend that participated in the FE gift exchange if she received the stamps because I wanted to get a copy to put in the scrapbook for the kids and she said she didn't

We didn't get it either - I assume either there wasn't quite enough for all and only some floors were done OR people were helping themselves to stuff when no one was looking. There we things we got that others said they didn't so it all sort of works out :)

And BIP.... a hint, on getting the best results from the digital camera your son won... it gets the best results in generally bright light ... and the shooting cycle is SLOW... so remind him to point... hold STEADY and press the shutter release... and WAIT while remaining STEADY..... and you'll get decent shots in BRIGHT LIGHT. 2nd... If you have a small SD memory card to plug in ... something under 1GB if possible... then all you need do is pop the card in to have your son shoot 1000s of images... then simply change batteries as needed. When the card fills up ... simply remove the memory card from the camera to quickly off load the images. Using the internal memory alone and trying to offload via the cable directly from the camera was very clumbersome and fustrating. So use the card alone is my advice. And remember, it's only a VGA resolution digital camera... which is good enough for basic internet use or for use with 3x5 prints... and MAYBE 4x6 sized prints. Using the full image and printing it at 3x5 allows for a minimum of 128dpi and with 4x6 prints it allows for minimum of 100dpi of resolution.
Thanks for all the camera advice/help! Appreciate it!

We didn't get that either. I saw a few things like magnets that we didn't get and have seen things mentioned on this thread now that we also didn't receive. I figured since it wasn't like mandatory to have enough for every single person on the list- that sometimes some people didn't have enough for everyone on the list and that meant some people weren't going to get it.. which means ofcourse sometimes *I* wouldn't get it. LOL
We were thrilled with everything we received though- thanks again everyone!

posted same time as me and I coulda waited and just said "ditto" to your post :lmao:

Question for those that turned in your passports. Did they get stamped from all the ports? I never bothered to turn ours in, but now DS is mad that I didn't try.

We tried twice and didn't get a single stamp!

Several people planned on the original 100 FE gifts/staterooms and bought ahead of time so when the total increased prior to the cruise they posted that they were giving the original gifts to the first 100 who signed up and alternate gifts to the others. Perhaps this is why.

I don't think this is what happened with us - we signed up really early... probably in the first 30 or so. I suspect that it was just easier to skip a floor or one side of a floor. Since there were so many of us and so much stuff, it is bound to work out that everyone got plenty of stuff! We didn't get the postcard with stamps, but we did get a couple really cool pins that I know others didn't get.

Pamela

I saw that quote and was determined to make magnets. Had to have DS help me. He did the color and all. Still computer challenged. Glad you enjoyed them. (I think I ruined the blades on the paper cutter at work cutting them all) ;)

The crud was better this am but now I feel like a nap is in order. When will it just go away??????

Ah so I have you to thank for BOTH gifts! Somehow that doesn't surprise me. You are a sweetheart Alrene! You & your DH always had a hello & a smile on your face everytime we passed you. I wish we had more time to spend together!

Well, it's official...
as of 12:01AM we are on strike
I'm really sad and scared.

I'm so sorry! Hope they are able to come to an agreement soon!

Hey Roger.........I totally understand you need to be with your girls. I always was with my children although I wish I would have done the Big Red Disney Boat when they were young.:sad2:

You will have no choice but to see me if we go to LA. :lmao: :lmao: Next year was going to be DLP but the economy being the way it is.............it is not going to happen.:headache:

He Diane..........the funny part is the Raywatch Girls worked.............no one got hurt by any flying rays.:lmao: :lmao:

Good thing we were on the lookout! We did our duty & kept everyone safe! :rolleyes1

I turned my into the guest service the very first day but was asked before CC to pick them up and I did not even get one stamp.:sad2: :sad2: The passports are still all brand new.:confused3

Me and my Task Force partners [ Downrivermama, MrsScooby, pdarrah, radioclash2 & tiggrbaby ] are pleased that you found the magnetic memo boards to be useful and entertaining. If your pen ran dry - I can send you a spare pen! We had about 60 spare pens sent us.... and when i noticed a dry erase pen worn out/damaged or stolen I would replace it. One example being Cheryls' mag memo pen.

At any rate... I'm encouraged by your remarks - and glad at least one person found these to be practical and fun.

We loved them too! We also had one inside the door for our personal notes which constantly fell like all the others. But it was nice to have one on the front of the door for people to leave notes. I still have Mike & Linda's! :lovestruc

Here are a couple shots we took from the day room at the MCO Hyatt. We saw a couple other friends before this and suddenly thought - "we should be taking photots!". Once we had the camera out, these were the only DISers we saw (although we did see other people from the cruise - DCL bags, large white cardboard, Panama canal t-shirts make it obvious!)

Kewl pics..but I want to see the blackmail ones your DH took from Princess night!!! :lmao:

Hi! I am lurking from Oct 19 board. I hope it is all right. :confused3 Just very excited to go on my first cruise. :cheer2: Our board is small in comparison to yours. It is fun to see how much some of you connected and I hope we get much of the same.

Quick question if you all do not mind, or find it untactful. I am trying to put together some FE gifts and some thank you tokens for the nursery/kid clubs ect.; what was the items you got/gave that worked well, was really cool? If not appropriate to answer, I understand.

Again, really fun to have followed the last part of your trip. popcorn:: I am from CA, San Diego actually, but in CO now and enjoyed the small references to CA.

Thank you again for helping me get my pre-cruise fix.:surfweb:

As others have stated, the memo boards were a hit. Helped a lot when DS left his key in the room (several times). Magnets were nice, but we sure got a lot of them. Those suckers get heavy when you have so many. The little trial size packages of Advil and hand sanitizer were perfect!

As for the kid's clubs, we usually do candy, typically Sees lolipops. The counselors always show much appreciation for it. Especially this year since my son was in Ocean Quest. I'm guessing they don't get as many gifts here as in the younger aged clubs.

The Glacier Bay authorities put a notice out that if any cruise line would like to cruise through Glacier Bay anytime from 2010-2020 they had to put in a request now. That doesn't necessarily mean that DCL will be there in 2010. Only that if they want to cruise there anytime within those 10 years they had to put in their request by mid August 08

That's the first time I've heard this. Although I didn't read through the whole thread on the main board, it's probably in there somewhere. This makes total sense that they would apply just to keep options open. I'm crossing my fingers for 2010 on the Wonder but we'll see. Come on Oct 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the replies regarding the port stamps. Now I'm not the bad guy for not turning in our passports. I sort of forgot about doing it, but also didn't think DCL would be able to get the stamps.

By the way, I know you all helped us celebrate Trevoy's 'cruise' birthday, but today is the day he actually becomes a Stinky Teen. He's been practicing for quite a while now, but today it is official. We'll be going out for sushi tonight and the Chocolate Festival (my choice) or the movies (his choice) tomorrow.

The memo boards were a great idea!!! I use mine and wrote on many others as well!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Thanks for the pen again ...........Could be some ST took it.:headache: Thanks for the extra reading material too Tom.;)

I know when I found something good for FE..... I would buy all the store had which might be just 25. I gave many different FE gifts out so no one might have got the same presents. I didn't always put names on either. As the list grew longer and I bought more FE gifs.....no time to get it all organized.:grouphug:

our mail just came, and we rec'd the postcard that we sent from the panama canal. i really didn't think it would come this quickly! has anyone else gotten theirs yet? ours had no other marks on it...no postmark or anything. i really thought that it would have some kind of marking on it. it looks like we just took it out of the store and put a stamp on it. and to think i rushed to make it to the 12:00 drop off!!

Shannon when we got ours from our TA back in June, there weren't any markings on it either. Now anything mailed from Castaway Cay is another matter. Took up to 2 months for grandkids to get my postcard. So I don't do it anymore.

Found small leak in the hoses so I'm having them replaced. Think we will look to trade this in before any more issues pop up that aren't covered under the 10 yr warranty.

Ours arrived Wednesday or Thursday. I have not seen the ones I sent to work though.

We did the same thing. I found an unbelievable deal on the watches, so I ordered 100, thinking that it would be more than enough. I was kicking myself for not buying more when they were available.

PS. Linda & I did put our lobsters to use! Our servers just shook their heads and laughed at us!

Did you save that note so that we can buy you guys a drink when we make it up to Massachusetts? Poor Mike got stiffed on my "Make a Drink Out of Whatever You Have Left" drinks. And they were actually pretty tasty!

I turned on the Travel Channel as I was putting away some of the laundry, and they had a show all about Salem. I guess it's a sign....

Here's a picture of your family from the vow renewal. I love how it turned out! I have some others to mail to you too.

Thanks to everyone for the good thoughts about the strike. They are really appreciated. Of course I'm hoping it will be settled quickly, time will tell. It's really hard to understand the mentality of some of my fellow union members. Yesterday after it was announced the strike was on, a suspicious package was found in the building I work in. Building was evacuated until it was determined it was a pipe bomb.

I guess we will have to cruise together again!!! :thumbsup2
OK! Sounds good! It was so nice getting the chance to talk to you the times we did!

Ours came on Thursday, no postmarks or anything either.

Hey all! Happy Saturday!

I echo the thanks for all the FE gifts. MinnieandMickey and Susan and Scott, thanks for the CDs! We were listening to them in the car this morning on the way to Home Depot kids workshop! Makes me home sick for the Magic!

Carolyn, hope it's a short strike. Heard it on the news and thought of you guys. Our union has been working without a contract for 4 years now. The unions that have settled now pay a part of health ins, so we are still status quo, except no increases. We can't strike--we are public employees.

Pamela, I found and bought some new pillows! I got them from JC Penney's. Went looking at our local Macy's and JCP and although thier websites say they carry Pacific Coast, they weren't in the stores. But I tested them out and got theWm for $39 each. They are the JCP Home Collection Natural Fill White Down Pillows. I got Med. They are so wonderful! They feel just like the ones on the ship!

Well off to do chores. Diane, 3 weeks ago we were at Pinks! I miss you guys!
