I am so jealous that there are people that can check in online...... DH can't and since we are linked with him we can't either.
We are the ones that HAVE to be at the airport at least 2 hrs early for a domestic flight.....

Well let's see what I have done the last hour.
I got an IM from my boss asking if I had 10 minutes. My mind goes into overdrive. It's Friday before I go on vacation, our company is re-structuring processes (not the company) call me paranoid but I was nervous calling.
It was a simple "How are you feeling?" kind of thing. My company wants to know "feelings" a lot. Guess it is better than a "we don't care about your feelings" company. A total "we are very happy with you- what can we do for you?" call.

Glad it was a happy call.. now you have a warm fuzzy from the boss can you start vacation???

Probably my last post. Bills are paid, work is done, bags are packed....

I start the runs to the airport to pick up the other Escaping Moms soon....and

I just hope we don't get arrested in the middle of nowhere on the drive to California............

GOOD MORNING DISERS!!! I am writing this from the Airtel Hotel in Van Nuys!! I don't have time to read posts..this is a hit and run!

OMFG!! I hope EVERYONE has a better travel day then we had. Bad things come in 3 right?? So we are now set for a PERFECT VACATION!! LOL

1: Brand New American Tourist luggage wheel broke at the freakin house
2: DH left DS7 passport on the copy machine.
3: We sat on the tarmac for 4 hours!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, we left on time for us, FIL drove us from Joisey to JFK for our flight on Virgin Amercia (WOW what a fabulous airline, will travel anytime anywhere!! We left the gate at 5:09, were 10th in line, and the storm hit!! Well red (online eneterainment system) was working. Water was available..plane was nice and cold. Captian was great..showed the kids the cockpit. Food that they charge for, they split into smaller servings and gave out. Very nice. Landed in LAX at 12:30 vs 8:30. So we got to hotel after finding a denny's at 3:00 AM (6 our time).

So we are here, getting ready to head out to Edwards AFB to visit DS23.

Yes, DS's passport is currently in Anaheim, being deleiverd to Hojos. Mil over nighted it to us!!

Kaitlyn keeps asking when she is going to meet her.

Em can't wait either. We will be in Downtown Disney later today. Going to Build-a-Bear for a small birthday fling with some of her friends since we are going to be away on her actual birthday. Seemed like a reasonable idea weeks ago, when I didn't feel there would be any pressure... now, I am wondering how I am going to find 3-4 hours in the day. Oh well, it will be fun. Have a great day and see you Sunday. I am back to printing the journal, and then back to packing.

We're leavng in 1/2 hour for the airporter - then on down to L.A.!!

I'll check in when I get to DD Lori's!! I caved and I'm bringing my laptop. The kennel folks said that they expected me to email to check on my fur babies - and I probably will!!

I actually have butterfles - I am so excited. The TOAL is almost here!!

Last nite I actually was awakened by the DOG.... he came over and nudged me in bed ... which is extraordinary since he KNOWS it is his TAIL if he comes into the master bedroom .... yet there he was. And I sort of looked at him dimly in the darkness noting he looked really agitated and was heavily pawing at me with one paw - the way he does. Just about then I was thinking ... what on EARTH is that sound? I escort him out of the bedroom... still too groggy to be pushy or gruff about him being in here... and I think again... WHAT on Earth was that sound? Sugar lies down in the kitchen... and I decide .. oh well, I'm up ... lets get something to eat. And while gathering my 2AM snack I notice a flaash outside and that roar of Thunder!

I wash hands... grill up some hamburger and heat some fixins' to go with it. Alicia's NOT home so what she doesn't know won't trigger a scathing barrage of verbage .... right? In moderation I say when Alicia's away!

my dogs are both terrified by thunder... My female is worse! She now starts sticking to me around noon because it starts clouding up and might rain later in the day...

We only bother with Southwest... It's not worth it for anything else since they have assigned seats anyway.
