Stuf to do today-----

pull some more clothes out of the closet..... The only person packed is 7dd.

pick up a few more memory cards for the cameras.... I don't think we're bringing a laptop

clean up the guest room (put boxes of cr*p into the garage until we get back) so, 28ds has somewhere to sleep while we are gone..... He is staying herre to *watch* our house for us. Do you think the house will do a few tricks for him?

clean up a couple of bathrooms since I think ds is having his girlfriend fly in from PA to visit while we are gone.... Not sure how I feel about that but, dh told him it was ok....

pick up more magnet paper to make more door magnets.....

Well let's see what I have done the last hour.
I got an IM from my boss asking if I had 10 minutes. My mind goes into overdrive. It's Friday before I go on vacation, our company is re-structuring processes (not the company) call me paranoid but I was nervous calling.
It was a simple "How are you feeling?" kind of thing. My company wants to know "feelings" a lot. Guess it is better than a "we don't care about your feelings" company. A total "we are very happy with you- what can we do for you?" call.

It's nice to be with a firm that exhibts this...

ALL Too often it's an entirely DIFFERENT attitude.

We've lived through occassions ranging from being an invisible "number"...

... to suspecting we're some kind of TARGET for "Someone"

... to being viewed as the one behind the "TRIGGER" ... regretfully ...

... to simply living in BLISS with our occupatons while we enjoy the things that TRULY MATTER to us....

Well lunchtime and I am waiting for some information to finish my project close out, so no better time to DIS. I can't print my boarding passes until tomorrow morning, but at 8:40 AM I will be at my computer logged in to AA.com.

Speaking of toothbrushes, I found a really neat travel one at WalMart last night. I always loose the carrier for my toothbrush, so this one folds up and doesn't need a cap. Plus I found my pill boxes (a little bigger than I wanted but only $.97 each). And Downey Wrinkle Release. So I think I am done shopping. Like everyone else says there is always the WalMart in PV.

DH smashed my tiara, but I think it is OK. He just shoved it into the suitcase. When I asked him where it was at he pointed to the large suitcase and said "in there". I got it out and straighened it out and will put it in a little more carefully after everything else is packed.

He is stopping at the bank on his way home and we should be all set. I hope he remembers to get the singles for tips etc. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. Hope everyone is having a great time in DL and safe travels to those leaving soon.

Today is our day off. Saw Lorri and family then Todd and the gang at DL yesturday. Had a fantastic time!!! We were able to see the fireworks and went to Fantasmic only to end up front and center third row of people from the river for the show. Even better seats than the night before. Are catching up with Shannon and family at the pool in a bit but besides that we are just going to do a lot of NOTHING! I need to catch up from three days on the go.

Thanks for the weather report..but my question is...any chance of rain?

Last nite I actually was awakened by the DOG.... he came over and nudged me in bed ... which is extraordinary since he KNOWS it is his TAIL if he comes into the master bedroom .... yet there he was. And I sort of looked at him dimly in the darkness noting he looked really agitated and was heavily pawing at me with one paw - the way he does. Just about then I was thinking ... what on EARTH is that sound? I escort him out of the bedroom... still too groggy to be pushy or gruff about him being in here... and I think again... WHAT on Earth was that sound? Sugar lies down in the kitchen... and I decide .. oh well, I'm up ... lets get something to eat. And while gathering my 2AM snack I notice a flaash outside and that roar of Thunder!

At that moment I glance over at our dear dog.... he's splayed out on the floor and just looking at me with those "puppy dog eyes"... so I step over and give him a few minutes hug and reassurance - as it seems he was frightened by the thunder/lightening. THEN I abruptly realize... what is THAT smell... OH, you need a BATH. Where upon he glances up at me side ways... as he knows what "BATH" means too.

I wash hands... grill up some hamburger and heat some fixins' to go with it. Alicia's NOT home so what she doesn't know won't trigger a scathing barrage of verbage .... right? In moderation I say when Alicia's away!

Today is our day off. Saw Lorri and family then Todd and the gang at DL yesturday. Had a fantastic time!!! We were able to see the fireworks and went to Fantasmic only to end up front and center third row of people from the river for the show. Even better seats than the night before. Are catching up with Shannon and family at the pool in a bit but besides that we are just going to do a lot of NOTHING! I need to catch up from three days on the go.

We love that show. Camped out for 2 hrs once to get a river side view. Did ya get a bit warm from the flames?

May i bid ya SAFE TRAVELS ...

... and offer an admonishment NOT to speed much beyond 5MPH over the posted limits (especially in CALIF)... cuz we drive for a livin' out here and we've noticed a SHARP increase in CHP pulling folks over and citing them. Our state has a BAD fiscal crisis and they've evidently enlisted the peace officers to raise revenue through far greater numbers of citations! I kid you not... it must be 5-10x as active as we've noticed in past years!

Not that you can't afford a ticket or two.. just to watch out. Especially if you "girls" are part way to getting into the PARTY attitude (as depicted above) then you'd not only get cited for speeding but possibly some disorderly conduct for partying too wildly while driving!

I am so jealous that there are people that can check in online...... DH can't and since we are linked with him we can't either.
We are the ones that HAVE to be at the airport at least 2 hrs early for a domestic flight.....

I am cracking up!!!!! For 10yrs my neice and nephews lived with us during the summer months....... My nephew would tell me he had brushed his teeth and wasn't even smart enough to wet the toothbrush!

My friend was so embarressed to tell me that when her son slept over at our house he left his toothbrush here- for a week...

Good to know it is standard misbehavior

When my now 17dd was 9 she went to GS camp.... Her big sister and I both told her *You HAVE to brush your hair everyday!!!* The first thing she says to us when she gets in the car (with a very smug look on her face) *I didn't brush my hair the entire time.*

My DD and niece have been sleeping over at eachothers houses all summer. The other day, my niece was here after about 3 nights, I said don't forget to pack your toothbrush...she says, "I didn't bring one." I said, "but you didn't say anything last night when I reminded you to brush your teeth." She says, "I been using Emily's"

Of course. We felt the heat from the flames at the fireworks all the way from the back of the hub last night too.

well we got to the airport. but flight taking off at 250 instead of 120..They put DH thru the wringer with his scooter. Searched him for 15 min..lol didn\t like his scooter nor the thing on his knee. I guess I should call super shuttle and let themknow I\ll be late.
