We got Mickey Mail!! Not only did our docs show up,but our DL Tickets got here too! I was able to use my Teachers Union discount to get them....1 Day Park Hoppers for $70 (each).

Just got a call from the LA County Fair..Tori sent in an application to enter her collection..she was chosen and so..we have to set up her display on August 16th

That is going to be one crazy day! We are at the GC on the 15th so we will run from there to the Fair..set up her display..back to DTD for a mini-meet..off to pick up my Sis at the car rental place and off to San Pedro for dinner..

I will need vacation after that!

DD is excited to have her collection displayed tho...

Just got word from my Docs that they spent a very peaceful night in Ontario. Room was nice but could have done with a better view. They went out to dinner last night with Christopher and Desiree's Docs. This weekend they plan on visiting the Route 66 museum before coming home on Monday.

After my package took the scenic route, we came home to find it resting comfortably under the front door mat ! Seriously, for all the neighbors to see. I mean really after a few days of carousing it could have at least used the side door.

I am so frustrated now. I found this beautiful dress for my daughter and they just called and told me that can't get it to me for 3-4 weeks and that's when we are going on the cruise. It was so perfect because it looked just like mine so we could match.
I am looking for a royal blue formal for her. I was so excited about this and now I am bummed.

But then the door rang and we got our cruise docs. Yah..but I still need to find a dress and I feel it's short time.

Thanks, Roger. We've got both the regular and the float strap - so we'll bring both along. We picked up a nice neck strap for our Canon at DL when we made the quick trip in June. It has a bit of padding on it and mickey embleishments on it. Need to go to the camera shop this weekend to see about new cases and the silicone stuff and possibly a water proof bag for the humidity.

What are everybody's (photo inclined folks) thoughts on the waterproof bag for humidity?? Is it a must?

Hi Everyone! Just saying "bye" before we head up to the northwoods for one last long-weekend at our family cabin. This will be our last trip up there this year since DS9 will be in school after we get back from TOAL. It is about a 6 hour drive, so not something you really want to do for a normal weekend. We don't have internet up there (other than if we drive into town and use the free wi-fi at the quick mart/gas station) so I'll be off the DIS until we get home Tuesday evening. Somehow, I don't think catching up is going to be a possibility by the time I get back!

You are so funny Stephanie....I think alot of us felt this way when we read it too. My kids would have spent the rest of the cruise writing formal apologies and cleaning the deck with toothbrushes.

A note of caution...we have had photo's entered in the OC Fair over the last few years, and they had a very strict drop off AND pick up schedule. Will you be home to pick it up too?

Me too..last year there was a kid who collected animals made out of pipe cleaners...it was fun!

We're doing Super Shuttle. Our flight lands about 11 pm on the 15th.

We are also doing Super Shuttle as we land around 9 pm. I've read horror stories about renting cars at LAX and didn't want to deal with that at night. I looked into the Disneyland Express, but after a certain time it only runs hourly and I didn't want to get stuck waiting and waiting. I know there is a risk of waiting with Super Shuttle, but I've used it before in LA and had no problems. We'll likely take that the morning of the cruise to the port as well.

Mine wasn't even under the mat! Just laying on the porch...where it was tossed.

This was for my SW 790 underwater camera. It comes with a wrist strap which is great for keeping it in your pocket. But underwater it did not seem that secure. The neck strap that I got was for a Canon but it works fine for any point and shoot. The strap is metal with a rubberized coating and is 34" long. I am thinking that this will be great for zip-lining as well.

Roger are you going to try to film while riding?
