[A Litle Pixie Dust]

Just thought I would re-post this in case people didn't get to see it on the previous thread. This is the info for pirates who need to do a little shopping before the cruise while in the DL Resort area as well as those taking the bus to decide where they want to stop.

Below are pictures and information on the grocery and liquor stores in the Disneyland Resort area.

First is Ralphs Grocery Store (there is also a Rite Aid next door)
9155 Brookhurst in Anaheim (corner of Ball and Brookhurst - 3.5 miles from DL)

Nice size parking lot - nice size liquor area..some higher end wines etc in locked case.








Next is Vons
12961 Chapman Ave in Garden Grove (1.5 miles from DL)

Large enough parking - smaller alcohol area - no higher end alcohol in locked area








Next is Albertsons (approx 4 miles from DL)
9822 Katella Ave (Brookhurst & Katella)

Very small parking lot and very small store. Only one door in and out. Small alcohol area.

There was also a Food 4 Less which is owned by the same company as Ralphs. We did not get any pictures. Decent size store and a CVS pharmacy (drug store like Rite Aid/Walgreens) is next to it. It is basically on the corner of Euclid and Katella about 2.8 miles from the resort It is located at:

They do carry wine but we did not stop to see the selection inside as we had passed it when we realized it was there.

Also..on Harbor within 1/2 miles of the resort are the following:

ABC Market - sells wine and beer as well as sundries. Same side of Harbor as DL. At the corner of Harbor and Katella.

Liquor Market (that's the name) is opposite ABC Mart on Harbor at the corner of Harbor and Katella. Basic Liquor store.

7/11 at the corner of Harbor and Katella (across Katella from DL)

On Katella approx. 1/2 mile from the corner of Katella and Harbor (going away from DL Resort) is a Dining Area that has the following nicer restaurants:

Bubba Gump Shrimp CO.
McCormick and Schmicks
Cheesecake Factory
PF Changs

Along Harbor and across from the entrance of DL are restaurants mingled within the hotels. I know there is a Denny's and a McDonalds. There is also something called Capt. Kidd's Buffet ..website: http://www.captainkidds.com/

Few things from the old thread

Swimsuits - right now I only have 1, been looking for a 2nd but just can't find anything that looks decent at a decent price. Then again, last year I only had 1 suit and only wore it once when I went snorkeling on CC. I'm just not a pool person so I won't have to worry about putting on a wet suit.

I think I went overboard with the swimsuits. Last weekend, I purchased my third new one for the year. I was planning on taking five... ughh... may need to rethink that!

bellinius, what is the final FE count? Also put us as 50/50 for the meet. What time is it set for?

If you are going by cabin, you need about 130 gifts for the FEs; if you are going by person, about 350!

The NYC meet is 11:45 on August 3, at John's Pizzeria on W. 44th between 7th and 8th Avenues. Hope you can make it!

Can someone please kick me into gear?? I swear my planning is going as if I still have 20 months to do it....well maybe I'm moving at the 10 month pace, but definitely not as if it were next month. I have no clue what I want for door signs, and every time I sit down to work on it, I end up spending time just creating clip art (like the swinging Mickey yesterday). I go shopping for the odds and ends we need, then don't buy because I don't want to spend money. Start on spreadsheeps, but then remember I have to clean up my hard drive so I can send my computer in to HP. So, nothing gets done....wonder if I may have adult ADD??? Can't seem to keep focused on 1 task. [/LEFT]

Monica, I feel the same way sometimes. I have really been trying the past 2 days to get a lot of things wrapped up, but there are just somethings that HAVE to wait until the last minute.
