Is it August yet?
I really need a vacation after today. First off, I had to come into work early to pull a 12 hour shift. Before that I had to take my cat to the vet and my car completely died half way there. Then once I got there I had to put my cat down. And then on top of it, I wasn't able to go to Disneyland today. For you that don't know, today is Disneyland's Birthday.
Happy Birthday Disneyland!
This is the first time in 9 years that I haven't been there to celebrate its birthday there.
Me too...ever since I have had kids I tear up at all the milestones in their life, even now. DSeaU graduation, Dreams show, Til we Meet again, sadly enough, while we were eating breakfast right before we left the ship last time, I was sitting there crying. Yes, I know ridiculous. But I knew that the cruise we had just finished would be special because of the things we had done that time and the ages the kids were at that time. Next time (this trip) would be different because they would be older, maybe wouldn't want to do as much with us, and just a different experience. They were happy tears, but I felt so silly sitting there crying. It goes back to "Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion."![]()
My favorite Disney memory ever is when my DD was 2. We were leaving the park after a long day from our second trip to DL. Right before we were headed into the train tunnel to exit the park, Mickey came over and gave her a big hug and shook her hand. I told Mickey that he was her favorite and he grabbed her hand and motioned for us to follow him. He took her to the annual pass center inside the park and at that time they put your picture on it. Well, he had them take his picture with her and put it on a plastic card and gave it to us. I still have that card and think it is the coolest thing ever. She looked so cute walking next to him and holding his hand. I don't think I remembered to get a picture of that part, but it is cool.![]()
So yes, if you see me crying at some point during the cruise, it will probably be tears of joy because I am a little too emotional sometimes. (yes, my husband appreciates it as well).![]()
I won't be able to look at anybody for fear I'll bust out crying
Hi DeeJay
I have a 17 year old sister in-law going send me private message and I will send you her e-mail address. This will be her first cruise so getting to know someone in advance will be great. We are from Colorado and she has not meet anyone inadvance yet so this would be great.
HEE HEE I forgot to mention! I came up with DH's personal theme for this cruise.
Back through the Canal - More Rum, Less Coke
Last time he want through the canal he was prize crew of a fishing vessel they busted with 2.5 tons of cocaine onboard - but no rum!
This time, presumably no coke, but lots of rum!
All the posts of the magic's horn today...
Show of hands, who's gonna get a little verklempted when they blow the horn?
How about when you board?
Hi everyone
I tendered my resignation today...I have mixed emotions...I will miss the kids and feel awful I could not say good bye...but it was time...

I too was born and raised in LA and was a avid Dodger fan growing up. But about 5 years ago I became an Angel fan. Part of that had to do with playing golf with Mike Scioscia once a month. He was always an idle and is even nicer in person.
that one snuck up on us, huh?

I remember quite a while ago looking at a website where you could type in the cabin # and it would show you posts and pix for that cabin. Well...I cannot recall where I came across it. I wanted to show my niece who just got her cabin # today and I'm hoping her's is listed.
Right back atcha!
We have 4 children, 10, 8, 3 and 1.5. I humbly apologize in advance for any ruckus you hear through the wall. Oh goodness, it's so much less pressure when you don't know your neighbors...
They are really very good, but I'm afraid to say that lest I eat my words...![]()
Stateroom numbers finally - we are 6036. Anybody close?????

Maybe someone will repost that infamous picture of the laundry.....

This should do it. Otherwise go up to the top of the page and click on the Staterooms link and it will lead you there

We'll take you up on that offer! I do believe we'll need a picture of that! You're right, it's a once in a lifetime picture!I would like to thank all of the people offering their verandas for all of us porch less folks on deck 1 and 2 and inside cabins. I do have a counter proposal to offer though. If any of you would like to get a once in a lifetime shot of the actual walls of the locks maybe you could stop by and take a picture out of our window. I mean everyone can get a picture from deck 10 but only us lucky lower decks get a view of the actual lock walls.

Finally got around to purchasing an underwater camera. Went with the Olympus SW 790 since I do not plan on going down below 10'. It will double as our excursion camera (zipline). I would make a suggestion to anyone that gets one of these. I did not like the hand strap while in the pool, kept feeling like it was going to fall off. So I purchased a neck strap made for a Cannon but will work for any P/S camera. I think this will come in handy while ziplining as well.

Pictures came out good once I color adjusted them.

Need help again... I cant sign onto the pirates zone either. I get to the welcome page and when I click on forum or my messages it brings me back to the sign in page again...and again and again...
Any suggestions?
We use Bath and Body Works body spray! It works great and you can get small bottles that pack well! Besides, I can't stand air freshener spray.![]()
