Just got back from a SUPER vacation at the CBR. Loved it there! Everything is renovated except Martinique which they were working on when we were there. Martinique #24 seemed to be the only building in that village that was completed.

The crowds weren't too bad. Wait times posted for all rides were about 10 minutes less than stated. Believe it or not at MGM our longest wait was 30 minutes for the Great Movie Ride. Fantasmic was fantastic. The regular seating was filled at 7:50, and priority seating 8:10. We got there early and I wish we would have waited a little longer, it was a long hour sitting there.

The most crowded park was AK about 12:00. We were there at 8:00 and left at 12:30 and by then it was really busy. Blizzard Beach was also very crowded. We waited over an hour for Summit Plummet.

The AK Lodge was beautiful; I don't understand the negative messages I've been reading. Would love to be able to stay there someday.

Boma's was wonderful, Prime Time was a dud, (perhaps it was our server), Hollywood and Vine was okay, O'Hana's was great, and Chef Mickey's and the Crystal Palace were a hoot.

We had a MAGICAL time!!!!:smooth:

Sounds like you enjoyed everything! I can't believe you went down Summit Plummet.

That's one thing I know I'll never do. The Double Dipper was enough for me!

Thanks for posting:D

glad you had a great trip - we are trying Bomas on our upcoming September trip, glad to hear you liked it!

Hey andybug, Welcome to the Dis! Thanks for sharing your trip report with us. Sounds like you had a great time. I've heard great things about Boma. Guess I'll have to give it a try sometime soon.

Yes, as a matter of fact, the second time I went down SP I felt some lower back pain; but at age 41 that's okay!!! I want to go back and do it all over again.

Actuallly I'm thinking about trying the last moderate I havent' tried yet(CSR) in October for a quick weekend. Does anyone know if BB is open the first two weeks in October? I thought I had read it closes in October on Fridays and Saturdays.

Andybug -- It's great to hear you had a great time at CBR. We are going with our 6 and 9 yr old this Sunday 9/9-9/14 and staying at CBR. We requested Martinique Bldg. 25 because of the close proximity to OPR, however I've been told it has not been updated. Which bldg did you stay in? What bldg would you suggest that has been refurbished (if you know) and what other requests do I need to make? I'm very excited and want my family to have a GREAT time. Thanks for the info!!! Can't hardly wait!:bounce:

We stayed in Trinidad North #33. Martinique 24 seemed to be the only refurbished building while we were there; they were working on everything else in that village. All the buildings except Trinidad South and Barbados seemed fine to me. I walked around and didn't think anything was too far. I asked for a 2nd floor, corner, no smoking room and close to a bus stop which was exactly what we got. We went down the stairs and across the lot to the bus stop which was important for us. I am a single mom with an 8 and 10 year old and we used the transportation a lot. We were closer to the pool than the food court and I thought everything was about a 5 minute walk. Jamaica seemed to have an advantage in being the first bus stop. Trinidad North 31 would have been nice but it was a smoking building. Just request what is most important to you. We loved it there and the kids loved the pool although we never got to the quiet pool that looked fine, but didn't hold any attraction compared to the main pool. After all, the main pool has a slide and a cannon for the kids (and a pool bar for Mom!)

Have a great time!!!

We just got back from CBR today and we had a fantastic time there! It is a beautiful
resort and we used the resort quite a bit while we were there because we found
alot to do and felt like relaxing. We tried the water mouses, surry bikes etc...and
spent alot of time at the pool. CBR is having a vacation within a vacation. None of
it was a dispappointment and we are already booking CBR for next year.
