Heyyyyyy...

Seven people. Four are staying on site. All seven are on an 8:15 breakfast reservation at Garden Grill. Epcot opens at 8.

When can we enter the park?
What are the odds that the 4 on-site guests can ride Soarin before the 8:15 breakfast?
What are the odds that the other 3 ADR off-site guests can ride Soarin before the 8:15 breakfast?

Is going at 8:15 and having breakfast at Garden Grill during Extra Magic Hours a better plan than going somewhere else for breakfast and getting to Epcot at 9?

Thanks, y'all!

1. You likely wont get into Epcot early since your ADR is after the park opens. If you had an 8:00 a.m. resssie you can possibly get in by 7:45, but IME they dont let people in much more than 15 mins prior.

2-3. Slim. Again IME between them 'loading' everyone into their seats, the time for the ride itself, and then exiting, you'll be lucky to make an 8:30 ADR.

I personally wouldn't waste EMH on breakfast - I would head straight to Soarin when teh park opens and get on the standby line, and then make your ADR for later, like 9:00.

This is a good idea, but it leaves the three people who are not staying on-site in the lurch. We also have a 10am Garden Grill reservation, and we're trying to decide which one to give up. It sounds like you think we should keep the 10am one, and everyone goes to the park as soon as they can.

If I remember correctly, the off-site guests can't get into EMH (except for dining). Not sure how that works for the ride part though since they're already in the park because of the dining ADR. Either way I would go for the 10:00 a.m. breakfast if that's not too late for you all.

I would choose to keep the 10 AM ADR. You then have two choices, you all meet for RD and beat feet to The Land for SB, hit Living with the Land if you have time, and then mosey over to The Garden Grill for breakfast, or the onsite flks go for EMH, and meet the offsite folks at Soaring and go SB then.

Personally, I would not enter early without the rest of the group, but you know your crew and what will be okay with them. Either way, I would ditch the early ADR.

Am I missing something? I didn't think that off-site guests would be allowed into the park at all, even for a dining reservation. But since we always stay onsite, I've never looked into it and could be wrong.

Anyone can enter if they have a PPO dining reservation.

1. You will be able to enter the park at 8am. Your off site friends will have to go in the ADR line and you can enter at any tapstile.

2. The possibility of getting on a ride before your ADR, is slim. The possibility of the off site guests is none. During EMH, the rides are available for on site guests only. That's one of the perks of spending the money to stay on site.

I would never schedule an ADR during EMH, but we love empty park time during EMH. You could probably do several rides, with little to no wait, during that hour. You could reschedule your breakfast for later in the morning or a different day.
