Hi Guys,

It is Thanks giving in the US today right? Hope you all enjoy your celebrations.

Sorry to see some of the group have moved cruises but I totally see why - the price on offer was pretty good - no use to me as we are flying from the UK on 10th August and coming home on the 27th all booked and paid for but well done to those who snagged a great rate :)

I know I only pop by here occasionally but we would like to be part of the Fish Extender Group is possible please.

Take Care
Mel

Hi Andrew,

We are flying with Virgin. We have 5 days at Old Key West with free dining before the cruise, 7 nights DCL of course then off site in a villa on the Highgrove development where the 27 meets the 192.

Never stayed onsite before so figured we would give it a try at OKW don't think hotel style will work well for us with two little ones so opted for a 1 bed unit so we at least have the living room to chill out in whilst the girls are sleeping :)

Are you onsite at WDW for the non DCL part of your trip?

I also opted for the 21 night tickets - we are only there 17 nights but with the cruise in the middle 14 nights was too few to be able to go at the beginning and end and last time I went I loved having complete flexibility (we had the old Fun in the Sun 21 day tickets then.

I was holding back on the WDW tickets but when the £ took a sudden fall, I knew the UK prices would go up, even if we use them just 7 days we are still in the money, But we can do the water parks etc, I do have Discovery cove booked as well just after this cruise.

My guess is we will use them for about 10 days.

We got ours with the OKW stay as the price wasn't much more than I had seen elsewhere and it included free dining (which I know will be had to book and busy but we decided to give it a go!)

We had Discovery Cove booked 5 days before our cruise in 2004, unfortunately the day before we were due to go to Discovery Cove Hurricane Charley hit - next day everything was open except Discovery Cove and the first available rebooking date was the day after we flew home. I was very gutted as it was my cousins 16th birthday and it was her surprise treat :(

We don't have it booked this time as it is just DH, myself and DDs aged 4 and 1 and a half so they are too young to do the swim. It is on my "one day" list though!

I did the free dinner plan in 2006 and I was staying at the polynesian, for 7 nights, we booked all our adr's in advance and had a good spread around all the parks, I calculated we saved over $1,100 during that week, and still had a lot of quick service tokens to use up last morning, so it was burgers all the way that morning.

It is great, I cannot do it this time as we are only there for three nights, ( actually two full days).

Discovery cove is an issue with kids, for my trips 2000/2001/2002/2003/2006 one of my kids was always too young for the swim at DC, but we did Dolphin interaction at Cozumel, Costa Maya and Acapulco with DCL instead where age restrictions were better.

This year therefore is my first to DC, so looking forward to it, I understand that on our cruise there will be a very good Dolphin interaction at Tortola, and that can be booked as a DCL shore trip.

Early on we start doing that, but most people feel it was to much info to post on a public forum.

Kristin was working on a web site (password protected) Where we might post that info, but other projects came up.

Hi Mel

Post cruise 10 nights in a villa Formosa gardens area ( a mile outside WDW)

We will probably be staying at Emerald Island after the cruise - haven't got the plans exact just yet! But we should be just down the road from Formosa Gardens!

We probably won't be going to WDW parks though! We have been to DL recently and will be going in April too. My plan is to try some of the things that we haven't done yet. - like the Hoop De Doo review, Luau at Seaworld etc.

That sounds good, I wanted to do a bit less WDW this time and more relaxing by the pool so the villa should be good

I can get the website back up and going if we want too???!!!!

Nice idea, its great to know who you are talking to.
