Hi everyone! Back from WDW :sad2:

Saw the post about retail closings, etc. well... the economy didn't seem to have any impact on WDW - fairly crowded for November...

Worst part about coming back.... 82 degrees to 45 degrees!! :scared1:

It was a GREAT trip... it'll be a few days before I start working on the pictures - we have lots of soccer and swimming over the next few days!

I'll share some trip details later as well.

Hi everyone... just a few random thoughts/comments from our trip (if I ever get around to posting a full trip report I will post a link to that thread here, too)...

  1. Bay Lay Tower looks HUGE!
  2. Toy Story Mania - very cool!
  3. Mission Space gives me a wicked headache!
  4. Tim finally went on Tower of Terror (the only ride he had never gone on).
  5. DVC is clearly no longer "the best kept secret"
  6. We rented a car as we usually do, but used the buses a bit more this time around. Mainly for MK because I'm not a big fan of the whole parking lot and monorail/ferry experience!
  7. For Epcot we parked at Boarwalk and walked over - that made it easier one night as we had an ADR at Cape May Cafe (lots of walking!!).
  8. Wasn't overly thrilled with Boma - it was good, but not all that impressed.
  9. Both Jake and Keira got picked by Jack Sparrow for the pirate show! Keira was so cute up there!!
  10. Can't get the Spectromagic music out of head! We got "stuck" in that parade three times - once we followed at the end of the parade from Main Street to the very end (hence the reason the music is stuck in my brain - HELP!).
  11. Yummy food at Food & Wine Festival (excellent use of snack credits!).
  12. Lines for characters were the worst! I remember when you could practically just walk up to a character and get a picture and autograph... Princesses in Toontown were only 20 minutes, but that's because everyone else was waiting 60 minutes to see the Fairies!! What a huge time killer IMO.
  13. Resort Airline Check-in was AWESOME! We went down and checked our bags in early in the AM and then just took our time, ate breakfast, and leisurely made our way to the airport. Bags made it to MCO; changed planes in Atlanta; and arrived safely in Philly. It was nice to just drop off rental car and go right to the security checkpoint.
  14. Don't go to Epcot on Saturday night during F&W!! Immense crowds!
  15. Evening EMH seemed more crowded than the park did during the day?? We only did it once as I tend to steer clear of parks on EMH days.
  16. Pool was nice & warm!!!
  17. T-REX! Food was okay, but the experience was first-rate. Dig "site" for the kids to play in & the "Build-a-Dino" store was fun for the kids as well (though costly).
  18. Princess Breakfast - one word - Jasmine!
  19. Watching my wife stuff a little box with My Little Pony stuff! At WOD store it was $18.00 for everything that you could fit in the box! Let's just say I can't figure out how she got the box to stay closed?!?
  20. Wolfgang Puck Express - best use of counter-service credits!

I could go on and on with these random thoughts!! All I can say is that we had a great time. Relaxing and hectic at the same time! Looking forward to this cruise next summer, too :)

I'll post a short note tomorrow about the only minor problems we experienced.

Hi, all!

It's been a while since I've posted, but my family of 5 (me, DH, DS14, DS11, and DD9) are still booked for the 8/15 Tortola cruise next year and can't wait! I just returned from a 3 night on the Wonder (11/6) w/my mom. It was really hard not to rebook for a 4 night in Jan-Mar to take advantage of the $99 3 night bounceback offer next fall, but I just couldn't justify another year with 3/cruises! I'll just have to count the days until next August ...

We are looking forward to our first 7 night to see new shows and dine from new menus. School for our kids starts the 24th of August, so the cruise will be a "back to school" treat for the kids, especially DS14 who will be starting high school.

Even though Hurricane Paloma was over Cuba during our cruise, we had perfect weather. I feel bad for those on the 11/8 Magic cruise (which included a good friend, her DH, and 3 girls on their 1st Disney cruise), who are getting a different itinerary - Mexico, anyone? What a surprise when they expected an Eastern Caribbean cruise! But, at least they are getting two Castaway Cay days out of it.

Weather here is great - Sorry about those of you suffering in the cold. It was beautiful today, but we are getting a cold front through this weekend. I may need to put socks on with my Crocs (ha ha).

Later,
Rose :)

I would assume it will have to be at least 105 days before the first Tortola trip, (4/25) but as St Croix is up, its should be soon, I know my Med and Panama special cruises were up in December the previous year.

Oh gosh tell her I am right there with her... I want Bruce to move us soo bad.....

Your trip sounds AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
