Hey Harry
I have a swimming question for you. My DD got pushed and fell down at recess yesterday and scraped her knees up badly. Time trials for her swim team are tomorrow morning. The pain is going away but she is worried about the chlorine stinging them. Any ideas on what I can put over it (it's a big area and a waterproof bandaid won't cover it) to help her feel comfortable and not worry about the stinging?

Great sounds like I had better have the pool ready. Looks like we are going to have a housefull this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

Let's see. It's about a 10 hour drive to NYC...so I'm guessing 11-12. Yikes. I'm flying.

Ok, I'll be ready and waiting.. What do you like to drink>????.>.

My friends say I'm a wino because that's generally all I like to drink! But an occasional martini and fuzzy beach drinks are fun too! :rotfl2:

Well we are always stocked with wine for my winno mother...LOL!!! The other stuff is always a staple here. Looks like it is going to be a nice weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love that. Then we could bounce on the trampoline together and harrass, Harry and Ed, Jeff and everyone else together over a few drinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Friday Everyone:dance3: I'll be thinking about you all partying, 3000 + miles away :sad2: Oh well, at least we get to have a Yard Sale this weekend, that's almost as fun, right???...right????... Ah man, who am I kidding :rolleyes1

Don't mind me, I'm just shoving my nose into your conversation. Hey Jeff, how about a Wal-mart bag and Duct Tape?:rotfl2: Seriously, what about Liquid Band-Aid, it's suppost to be waterproof? :confused3

I can tell you the liguid bandages work well. It is clear to go on. Try the liquid stuff it works great. When I had my collapased lung and they told me I could not swim all summer since it could not get wet. I would put that on and the hole stayed dry the Dr. could not believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually the liquid bandaid is a good idea. Personally I don't think that the chlorine will really sting it but maybe I'm misremembering from the last time I was scraped up

Hi Jeff - Did you "take care" of the kid who pushed her down?! ;)

I would hope by tomorrow she should have some decent scab formation that will mostly protect her from any stinging. As long as they're not open and bleeding she should be okay. You and I both know that these pools have astronomical amounts of chemicals in them so I know what you mean about the stinging! If there is any stinging it should only last a few seconds and she'll be kicking away anyway so perhaps she won't even notice.

Airfares are out of control :scared1:

I'll volunteer Abby to swing out of Ohio, pick you up, head east, grab Nikki down in Baltimore, then swing thru NJ/NY and we're on our way.

Abby - how many of us can you cram in your vehicle?! :rotfl:

Perfect idea. And thanks Harry for the thoughts re the pool. She has practice today but we're going to skip it and just go "family swimming" so she can dip her leg into the water and see how it feels so that she isn't freaked out in advance of time trials tomorrow.,
