Hi! I know we've already mentioned this but please let them know my DS will be 9 on the cruise and DD will be 7 also, along with all the other girls who will be 7 or around that age. We've got quite a group of 5-7 year old girls and 9/10 year old girls! This is great! I really hope my kids will have some cruise buddies and want to be in the clubs more this time.

I'll call my SIL in he morning and let her know (although she thinks I am a little nuts - or is it geeky?? - to try to scope these things out so far in advance. LOL). This will be their first DCL cruise - and their first family cruise at all. We've been telling them for 2 years how awesome the 2006 Double Dip was. And finally convinced them to join us...
As for the clubs, I really hope that Tess will gel with some girls this time. She was a little ambivalent regarding the clubs last time and so spent a lot of time with me & DH (not complaining - we had alot of fun!). Because she has a late birthday (well, September, which is "late" for an August cruise!) she was placed with kids that were almost a full year younger. But I also want her to have "kid fun", if that makes sense. I really hope that she too will be more social this cruise. Kevin, on the other hand, had to be dragged out of Oceaneer Quest each night. I'm not exactly sure what his cruise experience will be like this time - he hasn't really "discovered" girls - outside of his sports buddies, who "aren't really girls, they're friends, Mom" - yet in another year...?? This might be more than I can handle. LOL...I think.

Steve was in for just 2 years- he went in right out of high school- he was 17and was out by the time he was 19. They did the 6 month Med cruise together- did a bunch of countries, and the guy lived in DC- so he would bring Steve home on weekends. He was in our wedding and everything- we lost touch after the wedding- haven't seen or heard from him in 12 years anyway, we looked up his name 2 days ago on myspace, and there he was, married, with kids and all. He was so easy to find!! Of course his name is not so common. He wanted us to come over this weekend- was so excited to hear from us.

Have fun! That is very neat.

I just tried to look up some of DH's army buddies but couldn't find anyone there.

He said there is a military website- kind of like classmates.com- where he located a couple of his buddies from bootcamp. I will try to ask tomorrow what the site is- or maybe google that military mates.com, or something like that.

Thanks! The last we saw one of his buddies was when we flew out to San Francisco and stayed with him. This was before we were married, so it's been 11 years.
