8/10/2008 - Mexican Party Cruise - Who's Here??

Hey, I just woke up from a loooong nap myself. Actually, I have been acting as a home school teacher since summer break has started last monday and found out, I am quite good at it :rolleyes1. Sticker chart REALLY works well.

Anyway,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KAREN!!

Thanks so much Jeff, for sending a list of cruisemates and also, I really appreciate your comment about the kids' clubs. I am not counting on my DD4 to be there forever, but I will take your advice and we will try to aim at the time slots when they offer activities. My DS6 will love it there WSE, I am positive.

I will be reading what I have missed last week and will be back :grouphug: .

My shopping journal #11:
Bought Iron Horse Sparkling Wine at Costco for $28 ($46 on board).

Happy 1 month & 18 days to go day!! :ccat:

Ayumi - I think you and I would be well served to get our four year old daughters together at the cruisemates meet. I know Emily will like having a friend who she may see in the club. it will go a long way toward making her look forward to some visits. She did okay last year but never really seemed to "bond" with any of the kids. She had some favorite counselors but that was it. If Meg and Emily can get together, who knows? They may surprise us and want to spend more time in the clubs.

Aw man! I'm so jealous! Karen do you see that? I wonder if there is a Costco close to Disneyland that I can hit up for a couple bottles of my favorite Iron Horse. Here in PA, they don't sell wine in regular stores plus I've never seen the Iron Horse sparkling in any of our wine outlets (the chardonnay, yes, but not the sparkling).

Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes... :)

Glad to see that others are just as excited to celebrate their birthday as I always am! I will be celebrating my birthday on the cruise... kinda! My big day is 10 days after we get home on August 27 and since I will be back to school... I MUST celebrate for our entire trip!
Have a super day Karen!

Happy Birthday Karen. Wanted to PM Jeff with our info for the meet but I only have 1 post, so I'm gonna have to knock off a few in a row. Hope you are having a wonderful birthday!:bday:

Back again. Have only posted the one time back in April, been lurking since then. So to introduce us again. Cruising with me (Festus, 41) will be DW43, DS11 and twin DD's5.

This will be the twins' first trip to DL and 3rd for DS. Mom and I are DL vets and honeymooned at WDW 15 yrs ago. I travel to Anaheim for work about 3 days a month and have an AP so I do alot of solo evenings in the park(even if it's just to grab a Dole Whip and go back to my hotel).

OK, now I should be official. Jeff I'm PMing you with a list of our group. Can't wait to see everyone on board!

How many of you watched Camp Rock at least three times this weekend?

Got the PM. I'll update the list at some point this week and send back to everyone! Thanks muchly. And as to Camp Rock. I believe we are now watching it for the fifth time (maybe sixth). :scared1:

Please Join Our Cruise Meet

Hey to all you folks who have posted on this thread but haven't been here lately or haven't yet sent your information to be part of the cruise meet...here's your chance. And all you lurkers too..join in the fun. I'm going to keep badgering you (I'll probably even PM all of you) until you send your info. We really won't bite...well I can't speak for Karen...but the rest of us won't. If you have kids this is a great way for them to connect with other kids their age during the first moments of the cruise!

Our Meet will take place on Sunday (embarkation day) at 2:45 p.m. in the Promenade Lounge - just in advance of the safety drill

Here's all you have to do. PM me your first names, hometown, kids' ages, an email address so I can send you the list, your dining rotation and your cabin number if you want to participate in the Fish Extender fun. Any other info you want to share is welcome.

And I'm really talking specifically to:

I had a feeling you'd come to my rescue. Not going to have a car during my disneyland days but it will be worth the short cab ride to stock up on (ahem) a couple bottles for the cruise and the post-cruise time at the St. Regis.

:thanks: And yes, you MUST celebrate for the entire trip!!! ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: I don't have a birthday anymore, it's a birthweek for me nowadays!!! Actually I kicked off the festivities in May when DD and I went to Victoria and Albert's at The Grand Floridian in WDW - that was too big a deal not to celebrate something!!! :worship:

Happy Birthday Karen. Wanted to PM Jeff with our info for the meet but I only have 1 post, so I'm gonna have to knock off a few in a row. Hope you are having a wonderful birthday!:bday:

Thank you and hello, Festus!

How many of you watched Camp Rock at least three times this weekend?

I'm jealous!!! ;) We saw the TV ads for Camp Rock about a zillion times when we were in WDW - by the time we left, I felt it was my birthright to see it!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I can't believe that they don't have Camp Rock on TV over where you are Karen. :( I would say that we have watched it about 5 times here too. It was on Disney Channel on Demand earlier last week than that of the "official premier".

Only 3 more days of school left! Woo hoo!!! I'm sure I'll have a far different opinion about this by the middle of July, but right now I'm ready for a break from all of these tests!

Have a great Monday everyone!:thumbsup2
