8:05 AM ADRs vs. 8:00 AM ADRs, 8:00 AMs do exist, right?

Not that it should be a deal at all, but as soon as I was eligible at 180 days, I started reserving morning ADRs and was easily able to get "Be our Guest" at 8:05 AM, 2 "Akershus" ADRs (8:05 AM) to get a jump start on Frozen and Anna/Elsa M&G (late August), "Crystal Palace" 8:00 AM, Disney Junior Play n Dine at 8:00AM. The 8:05's came up so easily and were there plenty of time after the opening day for me. My question I guess is, how much more beneficial are 8:00s than 8:05's? (yeah, I know 5 minutes...) A lot longer wait to get in?

We have an 11 day vacation, so days late in my vacation I should have had first crack easily at the 180 day mark. Was just curious if 8:00s existed for Akershus and BOG, or if the first ones are the 8:05. But my 8:00 Crystal Palace probably shoots that theory to crap.

Thanks!

And thank goodness for free dining!

Not at all. You still need to be to bag check at 7:45 at latest to be in for either, and will be let in at the same time for either.

Let it go.

It makes no difference at all. If you want to be seated as early as possible, then make sure once everyone (everyone with a before park opening ADR will be let in at the same time) is let in, go straight to the check-in for wherever you're eating. They will basically sit ppl. on a first come first serve basis at that point if that makes sense.

I mean, consider it this way.

Do you really think that the people they seat at 8:00 will have turned their tables by 8:05? Of course not. The stagger is simply to start the kitchen and staff on a reasonable coverage schedule versus allegedly having everyone in at once.

My 180 day mark was today and I wasn't able to get anything in the 8am hour. I did get Crystal Palace at 910am but couldn't get Akerhaus till 11am :(

Don't get too discouraged, just keep checking. People change plans all the time, and will drop times that you may want and be able to pick up. Also, there are people who will have to cancel trips before their 45 days, or will have to switch dates, and ADRs will open up. There is a cancellation thread on here for each month(I am guessing you are Nov.) People on there will post if they have something to cancel, and you try to coordinate with them to grab it when they cancel. It does take a lot of work and time, but you can get many things in the next 6 months.
