7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

Hi ladies.

Still cold and snowy here, nothing much has changed that way.

No real exciting news to share.

Oh, I don't think that I ever mentioned that Liz and her boyfriend broke up last week? She is pretty much okay with it but of course these things are always difficult.

She is now trying to sort her life out, to decide what she wants to do when she gets done this scrub nurse course she is taking. She is also working a lot at the nursing home. She put in an application for a job opening in the surgery of the hospital she is training at. She likes it there so I hope she gets it. That would put her an hour further down the road but a lot closer than where Travis wanted her to move to.

Alex has been busy working as usual and getting all of his honeymoon and wedding plans in order.

:scared1:I still have nothing to wear to the wedding at the end of May. :faint: Ah well, something will turn up.

Have a great week everyone.

 Hey Dancing Queens

How are you all ? I hope you are keeping well

I've been busy, busy, busy lately. Last week we finally booked our flights to WDW for September, there will be 6 of us, Me & Paul, Becky and her boyfriend Luis (Becky want us to take him as part of her 18th birthday present later in the year) and Kerry and her friend Bex. We haven't booked anything else yet, but we're hoping to stay at the Pop Century. Kerry & Bex have even booked a 3 night cruise on the Dream during our stay :yay:

This week I started going to a Zumba class for a bit of exercise. I went Monday & Tuesday evening and I really enjoyed it, I going to go tonight too

Yesterday, Becky passed her driving test, so that put her in a great mood ready for a long weekend away to Disneyland Paris for Kerry's 20th birthday. There's 4 of them going, Kerry, Becky, Bex and Rachel, it sounds like they're having fun from the texts that I've so far received. After dropping the girls at the airport, Paul & I went to see Usher. The concert was OK, we like boppy songs and he sang far too many ballads, but we had a nice evening as we had a meal before the show

The girls are back on Sunday evening, and it's Kerry's birthday on Monday, I think we're going for a Chinese meal to celebrate it

So girls, what are you up this weekend ? Anything nice ? We're not up to much, just going out for an Indian meal, so that should be nice :)

Have a great weekend girls, whatever you're up to

It does sound like it has been very busy around your place lately Mandy.

Have you ever been to Disneyland Paris?

I have thought about going there but so far have not done it. Figured if we ever went back to Holland to visit Rick's family that I would definitely make the trip to Paris from there.

No major plans so far for the weekend here.

Hello everyone, having a good day?

My credit card has had a very exciting past few days :rotfl2:

I have booked us a return flight from Florida for March. We are driving down, renting a house for a week, heading to Orlando for 2 nights and then flying down. Friends are flying down and doing the driving back:thumbsup2 This is mainly a trip for the guys to fly their airplanes and the ladies to enjoy the warmth.

I booked us a place to stay while in Orlando.

Then I booked our flights for Alex's wedding in May:woohoo:

I still have to call Disney and reserve our room. Alex has reserved a block of rooms at the POP Century for the wedding group.

Rick brought up the possibility of a cruise on the Dream this fall:eek: Heck, if he is willing I sure won't be the one to turn it down;)

We are expecting snow here starting tomorrow and going on towards the end of the week. We are planning on heading to Alex's on Friday and hopefully the snow is all cleared away by then, which it should be.

Have a great week everyone.

Wow Robin you were busy...Wishing you safe travelspixiedust:
Sorry I missed this post till now...

I finally go to work today..it seems like I haven't been there in forever..the last time I was there was actually last Sat.

It looks like the snow has given us a small break until this coming Sat. Ive heard.
Hopefully that will get Mike home on Friday night, and me to work the next two days..Its going to be a very small paycheck for me this week.

Mandy,
How are the zumba classes going?
Tell Becky congratulations for passing her driving test.
Sounds like a fun trip coming up in Sept.
I soo need this one coming for us in Aug...Bummer that we have to wait all through the summer before we can go.:guilty:

Well Im off...
Have a great day ladies!:wizard:

Morning ladies.

Mandy, a lady that I dance with teaches zumba but I really don't know what it is all about. Can you tell us what it is?

I have now got our rooms booked for Alex's wedding.

Wow Robin !! you've got a fun few months coming up, how exciting with the trip to Florida, the wedding and a possible cruise on the Disney Dream, I'm thrilled for you ::yes::

It sounds like some of the US and Canada are having some terrible weather, I hope you all stay warm and that it melts soon. Betsy I love your new ticker with some of the Dancing Queens in it :)

I am still enjoying the Zumba classes, it's just doing a dance routine/workout to samba style music, it's lots of fun

What are your plans for this weekend ? Anything nice ? We haven't got much planned, it's Becky's boyfriend's 18th birthday tomorrow, so his mum has organised a surprise meal for him in the evening, so that's something to look forward to. Other than that, I think we'll just have a relaxing one

We are off tomorrow mid day to drive to Alex's.

We are going to a concert near there on Saturday night and then coming home again sometime on Sunday.

Alex is cooking us dinner for when we arrive tomorrow.

It should be a nice weekend.

Good Morning DWDQs,

Its snowy here again...We got about 6 ins. last night...and still going..:sad2:
Mike cleared off the cars and did the shoveling before he left for work. He's the BEST!:lovestruc

I have to be to work at noon, we will see if they call me off or not.

I hope you ladies are staying warm and dry...Have a great day!

Betsy, I know how you feel with the snow. It seems to be never ending here this year. I so want to get out of this cold and snow, but I guess I will have to wait until mid March to do it.

Have a good week ladies.

Hey Girls, sorry to read that you are having so much snow, thankfully we haven't had anymore since before Christmas, and although it was a little icy this morning is lovely and sunny and rather mild for the time of year (yay) :) So stay warm guys, and I hope it melts soon

Robin ~ I hope you had a lovely time at Alex's, did you enjoy the concert ?

Betsy ~ Aww bless Mike, he's a good one, Paul always brushes the snow off my car in the morning (touch wood we don't get anymore this winter ;) )

Becky's boyfriend's surprise 18th went really well Friday night, and he said it was a shock for him to see all his family there. Kerry is now in Benidorm in Spain. She is helping with some filming and interviewing people with her college class

Nothing exciting happening here, I've just got Zumba again tonight (though I'm still aching from last nights class)

Have a good week everyone :)

ahh, you two are so lucky. Mine doesn't clean my car for me :guilty: He doesn't even shovel the driveway. I am the one who does it all. Mind you, he has a bad back, so it is not easy for him to do it either.

We have had a very heavy snow year this year. The piles are quite high. I remember many winters where I have never had to even put on a pair of boots because of the lack of snow. Not this year.

Mandy, we had a great weekend, other than the blizzard we drove through on the way to the concert and back. It was about an hour from Alex's house and not a real fun trip that night.

We really enjoyed the concert. It was the guys who sing the birthday song that I sent you for your birthday:thumbsup2 They are really funny and can really sing well too.

All together quite an enjoyable weekend.

Well here it is almost the weekend again and Im just posting again...
Sorry about that...:guilty:

Well lets see... the news here....ummm.
I will be going with Mike to KC for the week next week...he had training for his work and Ill go just to keep him co. on the times hes off. We are thinking probably from 3PM on til the next morning every day.
I saw the weather should warm up into the 50s there so thats not bad at all.

Also Its my sons and his twin daughters Birthdays today...Sooo Happy Birthday to them all!..I dont want to mention how old this makes me feel!:sad2:

I hope you all have a good weekend.:wizard:
I will try to get on and post while Im gone....:surfweb:

:dance3: Hey Dancing Queens

I hope you are all having a nice weekend, what have you been up to ?

Yesterday Paul & I spent a lovely Saturday evening in a little town called Solihull, we had a fun time in TGI Friday having a lovely meal and a few yummy cocktails :)

Yesterday we also put a deposit on a 7 night Eastern Caribbean cruise in May, I'm trying not to get too excited about it as we have a week to pay off the balance, and Paul has got some worries about his dad who has been poorly lately

Today we're just chilling and recovering from our night out :rotfl2:

Enjoy what's left of the weekend girls :)

A 7 day Caribbean cruise sounds heavenly right about now Mandy.:goodvibes

I hope that Paul's dad will be okay and that you can go.

Which week are you going? Plans on being at Disney before or after?

Liz came home on Friday night to get the tires fixed on her car.

Yesterday we did a lot of running around and we went to dinner at our friends house.

It was a very nice time.

Today I am quite tired though. I am pushing through and attempting to get my laundry done. In between loads, I am going to be on my computer or catching up on television shows that I have recorded.
:surfweb:

 Thanks Robin, I hope he's OK too

We haven't made any plans at the moment. I would be happy to fly over the night before, stay at Cocoa Beach then fly home straight after the cruise. We're trying to keep the costs down and for me I would be happy to leave WDW till September, but Paul keeps talking about adding a day or two at the Pop Century. Hopefully I'll know this time next week what our plans are

We've booked the 7th May cruise, and a week in the Caribbean would be just what the doctor ordered, it's been a very long winter

I bet it was lovely to have Liz home on Friday, it sounds like you've had a nice weekend too :)
