Hey Mandy,
Super busy here getting ready for the Holidays...

Mike got his first paycheck, so we went out last night to a restaurant we haven't gone to in two years as its kind of pricey, but the food is GREAT...We really enjoyed it! I had a mixed grill with shrimp, scallops, and steak. Mike had the rack of lamb...Yum!

Well I am off today, but will be out doing my Christmas shopping for Mike...

Girls ~ Are you nearly ready for Christmas ? My presents are all bought and wrapped, and I've just got my food shopping to do next week

I still have a few things to get...

But I have Mike done...So we will shop tomorrow, and get the rest done together.

I still have to food shop too, but we only do Christmas morning, So thats just breakfast stuff.....sausage/egg casserole, doughnuts, bagels, croissants, fruit...that sort of stuff, and it's buffet style, so I don't have to worry about seating everyone...
Then we may have friends over for the evening, So a small something to pick at for munching...I'm thinking wings, and maybe cocktail meatballs, cheese fondue, that sort of thing.

It has been very slow at work, so they have been calling me off... , and they have told me not to worry about coming in til next Tues....Soo its good Mike is working now...
I'm sure after the holidays, it will pick up again, a lot of people can't afford pet care around Christmas, they have so many other things to have to pay for.

Well I'm off to get some things for chicken soup, I am taking care of some of my DGC tonight, So need a good hot meal that will feed a bunch of hungry mouths...LOL

I'm back and they arranged to have some snow here just to make my welcome complete.

We had a wonderful trip and I will tell you more about it later.

I will enjoy finishing up your trip report now Mandy. It will bring me back to my vacation instead of making me look forward to it

It was fun to make no matter what the outcome, I have made about five more of the stars,...they are addicting....Now I'm always looking at tissue paper, thinking " What a neat star it would make" ....LOL

Robin, the UK is at a standstill at the moment. We have had 2 weeks of cold, ice and bad snow in some places. It snowed a little here the other day, only an inch or so, but it has iced up and hasn't moved since. Down in London, the big airports are closed with loads of flights cancelled, it's a disgrace that when a little snow comes we cannot cope with it

So I'm just staying home, drinking tea and watching TV, I absolutely hate the cold

I've done most of my Christmas food shopping now, just some veggies to buy on Wednesday, then that's it, if I haven't got it in, then tough

Stay safe and warm Mandy. Isn't it amazing how some places can cope with a ton of snow and others can't handle just a little dusting.?

Our English friend Val went home to England last week to be there with her family for Christmas. Her husband is supposed to fly out on Friday but I don't know if he will make it there or not?

Only time will tell, I suppose.

I am done with my shopping also, Just have to pick up the breakfast stuff, I will do that Christmas eve. I want everything to be as fresh as possible.
I hope your weather improves, we are not getting much snow, just colder then normal temps.,( not quite 30F lately) still as long as its not in the teens, I'm alright with it.

The weather here has been quite chilly too but since I've gotten home I haven't really had the time to notice how cold it is. I've just been too busy running

All of my Christmas is done.

Well, maybe will have dinner here on Christmas day with my mother. Boxing day dinner with Rick's family but all the gift giving is finished for the year. Only eating left

Then I need to try and lose a few pounds before the wedding in May.

I hope that everyone had a nice day yesterday.

It was very quiet here, although Liz did make it for dinner. She had to work until 3 and then made the 1 hour drive but I think she wanted a nice dinner she didn't have to cook

We had a crowd for Christmas breakfast, then everyone left and we went to see my mom...visited a while, and went home to a quiet, but very messy house...whatched TS3 and played the Wii...

and as usual ate too much.......ahhhhh good times


We are suppose to get some snow tonight, so I was told not to worry about coming into work...an extra vacation day...I'll take it even if I wont get the best paycheck next week...

We have no snow in the forecast for the next week.

Actually they are predicting temps in the 40's with rain by Thursday or Friday

We will be off soon for the annual Boxing Day gathering of Rick's extended family.

I hope that I can find some space to do justice to all the food that will be served

Well I was told yesterday not to come in today( I was replacing a coworker on vaca)because of the snow....We didnt get any snow....but I now have another day off...
Oh well...I have some shopping to do anyway...

The big blizzard is just east of us, and I hope it stays there....or goes farther east into the ocean...
