A very sunny, windy day leaving St. Thomas

Doesn't he look cute in his rock wall climbing gear?

Ready to hit the runway... look out Tyra

Please excuse my big backside
DSC02164.jpg

CW went much faster than me, lol!

We took a taxi on our own to a place I researched online, Coki Point which claims to be the top spot to snorkel on St. Thomas. A boat sped by which ended up pushing me into the coral, so I ended up with coral reef stuck in my index finger the whole cruise.

The island was pretty but once you left the pier area, the trash on the island stuck out. Litter was everywhere. We weren't hasseled very much, the people were nice!

Hi Girls

  Yay, it's nearly the weekend:banana:

Betsy - Have fun with the Grandkids today :thumbsup2

Robin - Have you sorted your hair out yet ? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I hope you're feeling better today and thanks for checking out my pre-trip report :)

Kelly - I love your photos. And if you think you've got a big backside, then mine must be enormous :rotfl: :rotfl: It looks like you and CW were having a great time - are you planning anymore holidays by yourselves ?

I hope you'll post some more :thumbsup2

What have you all got planned for the weekend ?

Kerry wants to do some holiday clothes shopping, so I think we're going to Birmingham over the weekend, then on Sunday afternoon, Paul & I are going to a Rugby match

Have fun whatever you get up to :)

Thanks for the pictures Kelly.

They certainly helped to brighten my day.

I think I'm feeling a bit better but my head feels a bit "wooly" especially when I stand up.

So I get up and do a few things and then sit down again.

I am very much NOT a sitter, unless I'm at my computer:surfweb:

Mandy, have fun with your weekend plans.

We are finally going to pick up our trailer tomorrow.

Good morning ladies.

I'm off to get our trailer soon.

Have a great day everyone.

Hey Girls

Well for once, it's a lovely day over here and I have attempted to cut the grass in the back garden - it must be a good foot long :scared1: I've done about 3/4 of it, but I am just too tired to continue (LOL)

I agree Robin, that photo of Kelly is cute :thumbsup2

Robin - Have fun picking up your trailer, when do you think you'll be using it for the first time ?

Betsy - Have a lovely weekend

Kelly - Have a lovely weekend too, and if you get the chance to post a couple more photos - then great :thumbsup2

Are you rested up yet Mandy from your lawn cutting marathon?

Our lawn needs cutting too if you've finished with yours.

We got our trailer home with only one slight mishap.

Rick took a turn to sharp and hit a concrete post and scraped the side of it.

Boy was he ever miffed:scared:

The damage does not seem to be too bad though, so hopefully we can get away with an inexpensive fix.

Other than that, we've got it home and it's sitting there at the shop.

Everybody has come by to admire it.

I'm not sure when we will be using it first though.

Since it's been imported into Canada from the US we have to get some paper work in order first before we can get it put into our name.

Our first real roadtrip is scheduled for May 16 to the 19th. We are going to an airplane competition in Ottawa.

I did my good deed for the day today:thumbsup2

I was out with my mom tonight and coming home there is a park really close to my house.

I glanced into the park while we were going by and see this little dog walking down the sidewalk pulling what looked like a leash behind it:confused3

I didn't see any people around and I thought, I don't like the looks of that:guilty:

So I went and turned around to see what was going on, maybe I had missed the people??

But by then the little dog was headed down the middle of a street.

I stopped the car and talked to her and she came right to me.

Good puppy.

I checked her collar and she had a tag with her name and phone number on it:woohoo: Her name is Truffles.

I recognized the name and called the number and asked if they were missing a dog to which the lady responds enthusiastically, YES.

She asked me where I was and said her husband would be right there to pick her up.

Apparently her daughter (who I have vaguely known since she was a toddler and is now a teenager:scared1: ) had taken the dog for a walk and tied her to a bush in the woods and she got loose.

She was out with her boyfried:rolleyes1

The man who I also recognize from when the kids were little at school came to get the dog and the daughter and the boyfriend were walking up as I left.

Hmmmm, I wonder if she got into a bit of trouble when she got home. What was she doing in the woods with her boyfriend when the dog was tied to a bush:cool2:

So Truffles has returned home. Thankfully because she is half blind and they weren't sure that she knew her way home but obviously she did because she was headed in the right direction.

So here is the funny twist to this story.

When Alex was about 8 or 9 his epi-pen slipped out of his pocket one winter day when he was running home from a friends house.

This family's son found it while delivering his papers and it was returned to us.

So, it has come full circle.

Morning Dancing Queens

Robin - Its great to hear that you've got your trailer now. But oh no, about the knock - that would've made Paul mad. I hope it isn't too expensive to put right

That was nice of you to find the puppy and ring the owners to get it - I'm sure lots of other people wouldn't have bothered

Betsy - I hope you had a lovely day with your grandkids

Kelly - I hope you've had a lovely weekend, I hope you post a couple more photos from your Cruise today :thumbsup2

I've got a boring day today. As both mine and Kerry's cars are in the garage, I will walk into town today (and that can be my exercise for the day), and that's about it - as I said, a boring day ;)

I hope your day is a bit more eventful

Have a great day girls

Morning ladies.

It's not going to be so nice and warm here this week as it has been lately:guilty:

I've got to go into work later today and get some things done.

Enjoy your walk into town Mandy.

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend! We were on the go all weekend with birthday parties and church events..:yay:

Robin, how sweet of you to check on little Truffles... hmmm, I would have loved to of heard that poor girls story. I'm sure she had the deer in the headlights look on her face. Can't really explain that one away!;)

Mandy, Yikes... 2 cars in the garage? Hope it's nothing major!:flower3: Have fun on your walk today, hope it's a beautiful day in your area today!

Betsy, hey there!! Hope you had a great day with the kids yesterday! :goodvibes

As promised... more photos! No more close ups though... don't want to scare ya too bad! (Thanks for the kind words Robin;) )

This is the second POC, St. Thomas. We walked up to a group of people waiting for a taxi and decided to do a tour of the island. It worked out well for us, 3 other couples decided to do the same so it took our taxi fare from $40 pp to $25 pp!:thumbsup2

Low and behold, 30 minutes into the island tour the air conditioning broke down in the van. The driver pulled over and kicked the side of the van (which is where I was sitting... being unprepared for that, I almost wet my pants). Couldn't fix it so he took us to our 2nd stop and fixed it while we snapped some pics at Maho Beach!

Alot of casinos on the beach. It is part french and part dutch... the dutch side is where all of the casinos are. If I remember right he said 365 casinos, one for each day of the year.

Coming into St. Martin

DSC02194.jpg

Another cruise ship in port, Seven Seas something... sorry can't remember!

DSC02215.jpg

Our first stop before the a/c broke down:lmao:

DSC02230.jpg

CW took this, most of the time he doesn't take good pics... I gotta give him credit for this

DSC02241.jpg

Maho Beach, as you can see the airport is close by

DSC02263.jpg

Really close by!

DSC02312.jpg

I thought this was the prettiest beach, Orient Beach. We stayed on the fully clothed side!

DSC02188.jpg

Leave to me to find something Disney on this ship!!

Tommorrow is Antigua!:goodvibes

Hey Girls

Well I've got one car back, Kerry's was fixed in no time, one of the shock absorbers had snapped (as we have a lot of speed bumps around here, so it's a common problem). I had a good walk into town and back, and I treated myself to some white cropped jeans :thumbsup2

My car should be back on Wednesday (though I won't hold my breath :confused3 )

Robin - have a great day at work

Betsy - I hope you've had a good weekend

Kelly - thanks for sharing some more of your great photos, I love this one

DSC02312.jpg

Tommorrow is Antigua!:goodvibes

and I look forward to seeing some from Antigua

Have a good day girls :)

Thanks for the pictures Kelly.

Where did you find the picture of Walt Disney:confused3

I've been to St. Martin before and we rented a vehicle with another family.

Boy was that thing a pile of .... well, you know what.a

My friend went to put her bag in the trunk and said there was no trunk there just holes and she would be best to hang on to her bag:lmao:

It is kind of neat standing on that beach with the airplanes flying so close over top of your head, isn't it.

We also went to some beach there and I walked by some half naked ladies without even realizing it:rotfl2:

Hello Ladies,
Kelly your pictures are awsome!:thumbsup2 ...That plane shot is a little scary though...I agree with Mandy..the best one is the shot of you and CW on the beach...

I had a pretty busy weekend....
Mikes birthday was yesterday, but we celebrated it on Sunday with Cake and Ice Cream....All the kids were here...It was FUN!

It hasnt been so nice here either Robin,...and not suppose to be out of the 50s for the next few days...:sad2:
We have rain and clouds today...Yesterday it was all rain...:guilty:

Oh well ..it will make the grass greener...:) I guess..

Mandy,
I cant just walk into town...It would take me a day at least:cool1: :rotfl:
Its about a 1/2 hr. drive to Binghamton, and a 15-20 min. drive to Montrose...
But that OK with me:thumbsup2 ....Except the gas prices are really starting to hurt......ALOT!..
Its probably better then what you all are getting Im thinking though...But its bad for US!...We are now having to pay between $3.60-$3.70 a gal.
My sister lives in AZ... and has to pay over $4.50gal....
What is this world coming to????....
We really NEED to find another way to get things powered....:sad2:

But HEY did I tell you all lately:yay: :yay:
:cheer2: IM GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!:rotfl2:

For today, Im just going to go visit with my mom ....:car:
Bring her some spring flowers..:flower3:

TTFNpaw:

Thank you for the comments! The pics don't do the water justice, it's the prettiest blue I've seen!

:rotfl: There were a couple of topless ladies, not playboy topless... more like Discovery channel topless. I didn't realize it either, but CW pointed it out!

Robin, I found the pic by midship stairs. They had other famous baby pics but to me, none more famous than Mr. Disney himself!:goodvibes Are you feeling much better now?

Betsy, happy belated bday to Mike! Enjoy your day with your mom, how sweet to bring some spring flowers to brighten her room!:thumbsup2

Mandy, glad it's not too major with the cars! We have to have our cars aligned alot because of our driveway, it's like having speed bumps on it!:upsidedow

Ok... continuing on from yesterday... this is our 3rd port of call, Antigua. CW & I decided to do the zipline and that took up nearly the whole day in port. The zipline was scary at first, but we had a challenge that had rope bridges and whatnot that we had to cross to finish our course. Needless to say, we were drenched in sweat at the end of the day!

DSC02323.jpg

We slept in and had room service send up breakfast, this was the healthy part;)

DSC02335.jpg

Some putt-putt golf after breakfast

DSC02342.jpg

A Tiger Woods-wannabe pretending to hit the ball off the ship

DSC02369.jpg

The second run on the zipline, that first step off the platform is scary:scared1:

DSC02372.jpg

This was taken before we were harnessed up. I didn't know yet what I was in for!

DSC02447.jpg

We had a few minutes to shop and came across this guy, he had alot of energy!

Leaving Antigua!

Hi Disney Wonder Dancing Queens

I hope you're having a lovely day

Betsy - Have a nice day with your mum, taking flowers is a lovely idea. Send Mike our belated birthday wishes :)

Robin - How are you feeling these days ? Are you better ? I hope so

Kelly - Yet more fab photos. You were so brave to do the zipline, there is no way on Earth you would've got me to do that :rotfl2: I look forward to your next installment :thumbsup2
