7th & 8th Grade Library period during school?

Do your 7th and 8th graders have a class with curriculum with your school librarian/media specialist?

No, not here in public schools in Anne Arundel County. 5th grade is the last year for Media classes here.

Our intermediate (4th-6th) school doesn't even have a library "class". - Their library is staffed mostly by parent volunteers.

DS is in 8th grade this year. He goes to Catholic school though. I have no idea if the public schools around here have a Library class or not.

There is no library in DD's middle school. She hasn't had library since 2nd grade . That was when the library teacher retired and they never replaced her. It is sad.

DH and I both teach in a middle school and there is no 'class' for library. Students use the library during the day with their various classes (LAL, Social Studies, Math, etc.), but the classroom teacher is present during those times. The librarian is there to assist with research, computer issues, checking out books, etc.

No, ours does not. They still have a library, but they do not have a class. I'm thinking 4-6 grade do have a library class but I'm not sure. I know a few grades do.
