7DMTR, fastpass avalibility

we will be at the magic kingdom on wed. nov 19th. we should have been able to book the ride 60 days out. a computer glitch on disneys part caused us to try to book 55 days out we were unable to get the fast passes. does anybody have any suggestions what time of day or day is better to find an opening for this ride!

If you are looking for a specific time to search it is really random. People cancel at all times and it won't always instantly go back into the queue.

I had luck with early morning slots. If your group isn't too large try booking one by one with overlapping times.

It usually is booked at the 60+ day mark. Resort guests can book for their entire stay so some are able to book up to 74 days out.

Just keep checking, it's all you can do. I didn't book my trip until after the 60 day mark so I was only able to start booking my FP last week. But just a few hours ago I was able to snag two FP for November 6th, which just opened up as they were booked up when I went to make my FP initially.

So don't give up just yet, you never know what will open up.

Do you mean Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride or the WDW Railroad? The railroad does not have FP.

The Mine Ride will say "FastPass+ Distribution Has Ended for Selected Day" if they are gone for the day.

Keep checking. . We go in 2 weeks and I still keep checkin. so far I have 2 passes for 7dmt and am looking for 2 more on the same day. Hoping I can luck up before we get there!

when that happens that usually means that all FP+ for that day have been spoken for. all you can do is keep checking( daily.. and more than once )

otherwise you need to literally be the first in line at rope drop and a very fast walker in order to ride it without an hour long wait minimum. we were there this morning and we estimate 80% of the crowd headed straight there.

your next option is to head to a FP+ kiosk in the park at rope drop and see if you can snag one

We will be there the 19th too. I was unable to get 7DMT FP+'s until today. I kept checking through out the day since I was able to make the FP's and it finally popped up for me this morning. Mine is in the evening FWIW.

I found more availability at 56-58 days out than I did at 60. I got what I wanted so I've stopped checking.

One thing: for the days I wanted SDMT FPs, I didn't book any FPs at all until I was able to GET SDMT. I felt like (and I could be wrong), that when I tried to replace an existing FP (say, Peter Pat at 1:50 - 11:50), it only searched for what was available to substitute in THAT PARTICULAR TIME FRAME. That drastically limits what you're looking for.

My strategy was to NOT book ANY FPs for the days when I wanted SDMT. That way, I could search for each person individually, and wasn't limited to a time frame. Ultimately, I found ONE lone FP at a certain time and booked it. Then, I tried to find an overlapping time for the other person in our party. Bingo! I got it.

It's definitely do-able, but due to the strangeness of the ins and outs of FP+, it takes a bit of work.

For sure, keep trying. I'm going Thanksgiving week and was able to find FPs for the 23rd, so it really is possible.

Interesting. I think you might be on to something there. At the very least, having other fp+ booked would limit the availability of what you could change to, since it won't let you overlap times. Good thinking!
