My DD will be 5 in two months. Last year I took her on the Barnstormer and she did not like it. I want to take her on 7DMT but not sure how it compares to the Barnstormer, if at all. Advise? Comments?

7DMT has slightly higher "thrill factor", is smoother, and lasts approximately twice as long as Barnstormer.

We took my 3 year old niece in Oct. Her 1 ride request was barnstormer.

We decided to take her on 7DMT which she wasn't too sure about, but we convinced her it would be ok because of snow white. After we got off, she decided that it was "fun" but "too fast" and she would try to ride it again next time we came around.

I would definitely ride the Barnstormer again first to see if her opinion has changed. If she hates it, I would skip 7DMT because in my opinion it is significantly scarier, more intense, and longer than the BS.

My DS (7) was scared to ride 7DMT (but loved BS) but we talked him into it. After the first ride he wasn't sure if he liked it, but after the second it was his favorite ride in the MK.

My very cautious 8 year old loved 7DMT and did not like Barnstormer. She also rode Big Thunder Mountain several times, but was a little scared of it afterward. She looks forward to riding 7DMT again, but not the other two. I'm not sure why-maybe Barnstormer looks higher and therefore more dangerous?

I do not want to reride Barnstormer, either. I had a row to myself behind my family and sat in the middle of the bench-huge mistake. It's a bumpy ride and there is a ridge in the middle of the backrest, dividing it for 2 people. Ouch!!! It took me a little time to realize the problem and slide over for a somewhat more comfortable ride, and my back was sore for a while that day.

My DD did not like Barnstormer two years ago at age 5. When we went back last October (age 7) she did not want to do Barnstormer, but she did try 7DMT. She "kind of liked it", enough that she cautiously went on 7DMT a second time. Although the ride is longer, it is smoother and has the break inside the cave in the middle to "calm down" any fears. Barnstormer, although short, always seemed rough to me, maybe because it is so compact.

Thanks for everyone's input. 7DMT opened the week after we were there last year so I haven't had a chance yet to ride it to see what it's like. I guess we will have to wait and see. :)
