Is it realistic to think we could fit both of these in during the EMH at MK? Not interested in the opening show and we would head to 7DMT first then SM. I presume by the time we get to SM there will be a standby line already building/built...but how long can I expect it to be? We will be there Friday, 5/19. We have done Dwarves during a regular open RD, and rode right away, but the line for Space was pretty long by the time we got off, so trying to judge if the EMH will help gain us Space as well this time...TIA!

I'd assume you should be able to do both with ease. If you really like SM, you might wanna consider looping back in line after you're done the first time. You might be able to sneak in another turn with a very low wait time. If you are using Fastpasses at MK that day, this might be an instance where disneyphiles might consider saving 7d for a fastpass later in the day, if comparing other wait times for other attractions you'd care to do during the emh. You might be able to get more done during emh if you skip 7d, and save it for a fp AFTER emh.

Thanks! We are hopping to DHS later and using our 3 FP there so trying to get in the headliners at RD. We typically RD the EMH park, try to hit some of the headliners, then mid day break to nap or swim, then hop to another park with our FP late afternoon/evening. We will be using a FP on 7DMT later in our stay as well so the RD ride is a "bonus".

I haven't been since 7DMT opened but we always do EMH and head to SM first and usually have been able to get at least 2 rides on SM with minimal wait. I think with 7DMT opened more crowds disperse to fantasyland then when I was there last, so I think you should be able to do both in EMH with no problem IMO.

I'm planning on this as well. I'm going to be at the front "first 300 people" in the 7DMT rope drop, ride 7DMT, ride SM, and hopefully Buzz. If I put this in my touring plan it's showing arriving 7DMT at 8:09, waiting 20 minutes, 3 min ride, then walk to SM of 5 minutes, Be at SM at 8:37, then waiting for SM for 12 minutes and off at 8:59. I'm not sure how accurate this is with the new rope drop procedure but crossing my fingers. I'm hoping if I'm in the first 300 people of rope drop this will be even better timing and I'll be headed towards BTMRR close to 9 after riding Buzz. When do you go?

Glad to hear it seems to time out OK in touring plans. We are there the end of May, planning this for the EMH day on 5/19. Fingers crossed! When are you there? We may be in that 300 group together...

I'll be there 6/8. If you remember me, please report back how it worked. :)

If you're one of the very first on 7DMT, you'll be off within 10 minutes. When i went last year in April we ended up at the front of the rope drop crowd and were among the first few trains off. We walked into the queue at 7:53 am and were in line for Winnie the Pooh at 8:02.

So the "rope drop" leaves earlier than 8? Greatness!
