We are hoping to get on 7DMT twice in one day. We have an ADR for Breakfast at Be Our Guest at 8am on a day where there are no early morning magic hours. What are the average wait times for 7DMT at rope drop? I'm hopeful we will be finishing up breakfast and since we are nearby I thought this might work out well. We are planning on getting a FP+ for the afternoon for 7DMT.

When we went to it at Rope Drop, the wait time shot up to around 70 minutes. But, we only waited an actual 20 minutes tops, if that. So they're a little inflated at the beginning I feel like, as that's the first place everyone goes pretty much.

in September, wait time posted was about an hour by the time we got there right after rope drop but we really only waited about 20-25 minutes. The line was backed up to across from Winnie the Pooh. It went fast and the kids enjoyed the interactive things in the line. We had a FP later and the kids missed playing in the line!

When we had a pre-park opening BOG ADR, we ate and got outside to wait near the ride. A CM had us line up and let us go in right when the RD line was visible. I think we waited about 15 minutes.

Great :mickeyjum Thanks everyone for the info! We have always done CP before the park opens. We thought it would be great the try BOG for breakfast and take advantage of being near the 7DMT. I'm thinking the first FP+ we decide on should start at around 11 am then save the FP+ for 7DMT for later in the day.

Just got back and the opening wait time was about 40-45 minutes. Not sure if it actually took anyone that long but the line was outside of the actual queue area

We were there in October. Had a pre park opening ADR at BOG, 8:10am. As we were walking around 7DMT, before rope drop crowd was visible, the CM's asked us if we wanted to ride. Of course we said yes, and they let us through the FP line. We walked right on. I know some people have been held back, but we were not.

If you want an alternate strategy, you can easily ride 7D twice during the last half hour of operation. After 11:30 pm our longest wait ever for this attraction was 20 minutes during opening week in 2014.

Thanks for all the info. We will be in Disney from 4/21-4/30. Hope this works out and that they don't change the park opening time!

Just got back from WDW and the "wait time was 60 minutes"....when in reality, waiting in line, riding 7DMT, getting back took 20 minutes top. that was on 1/28/16 thrusday in the afternoon, rainy day and the park was "empty"!

Got there soon after rope drop, maybe 9:15am? and it was a 10 minute wait on 1/24/16 (Sunday morning, chilly, upper 30 degrees)

We had an 8am BOG ADR on 1/20 and park opening was 9. We walked out of BOG at 8:35 and got on line for 7DMT behind about 7 individuals. The CM's let us ride at 8:45 and then we immediately rode again :thumbsup2 When we exited the 2nd time the RDcrowd had arrived; the line was LONG, it was 8:57, and they moved the wait time right up to 40.
