At 60 days out the only FP+ that were available for the 7DMT at midnight & this morning started at 2:00 pm on 4/28. Could it be that all the am was already taken or is there an event going on?

Already taken. Keep in mind that other people who will be there on that day had their 60-day windows open earlier this week. My window opened on 2/23 for my 4/23-5/2 trip, and I made a FP reservation for 7DMT for 4/28 at 12:15pm.

Thanks @beesly for the info. I'll just check periodically for slightly earlier. I'm glad I was able to get them. I thought it was strange since I got more of a time selection for Sunday 4/24 at 60 days out. We have a split stay with YC and an off-property resort so the last portion of the the stay I needed to wait till 60 days out each night.

I get the feeling 4/28 is going to be a busy day at the MK, even though EasyWDW and TouringPlans say it's the best day that week to visit MK. That day has been the most difficult for me to get ADRs at the time I want them, and also had no availability for a morning A&E FP when I made my selections. I had many more options for 4/24, 4/26, and 4/30 for both FPs and ADRs.

I should know this but I don't: if you have an onsite resort reservations, when it is 60 days prior to your check in day, does your entire onsite stay open (to choose FP+)? Or is it day by day? (Do I have to wake up each morning for 7 days, to book FP+, if I have a 7 day stay in 60 days?) TIA!!!

Your entire on-site stay opens up 60-days prior to your check-in date. You won't have to book separately at midnight for each day. It is recommended to start booking dates at the end of your stay and then work backwards, in order to find a better range of times for the more popular attractions.

For a fully ON-site stay, you can book the entire trip at the first 60-day mark.

But, the OP in this thread (gorjus121) has a split stay with the 2nd half of the trip at an OFF-site resort.
For the days at the OFF-site resort, those FP+ reservations can only be made on a one-at-a-time, rolling day-by-day basis, each day, 60-days-in-advance.
