Just got an email that my Oct 16th FP for 7DMT is cancelled and replaced with Splash Mt. It's a party day and the FP was for 5:35-6:35, but the splash one is the same exact time, so I don't think the time was the issue.

Anyone else?

Maybe since the line for 7dmt tends to be long they want to make sure people got out in time

This is just a guess

Whatever it is, they should have figured it out before people firmed up their plans.

I'd be sort of ticked.

Call 'em ASAP.

Last year, the last time I was able to do FP during a party night was 5:30 to 6:30, the other ones I had made got cancelled... I'm sur you could find a few threads from last year about this...

I didn't take any chance this year, last one ending at 6:30.

I had the same exact one cancelled today also, but they gave me an Ariel FP instead

Here's the whole story -

We only have mnsshp tickets for October 16th, no park tickets. I made FP for 3:30-4:30, 4:30-5:30, and 7DMT for 5:35-6:35 (I couldn't get 5:30-6:30). Today I got email saying 7DMT was cancelled and replaced with Splash from 5:30-6:30.

I called and explained. After a long time on hold, I got told the following "Because of the party that night, ALL Fastpasses extending past 7:00 have been cancelled. But we went ahead and added a 7DMT FP for your whole party that is usable at any time during the day."

When I reminded him that mine actually ended at 6:35, he said, "Hmmm, that's really odd. Oh well, it's fixed for you now."

So I don't know what the deal is, but I'd definitely recommend trying to keep them all before 6:30 on party days and if there's one really important one, make it the earliest!

Glad you posted this so when I make my FP for MK I keep them early. I would be upset if my 7DMR was cancelled!

Maybe they are (based on this and some other reports) finally closing the FP+ from 4-7 loophole for those being allowed in early to beat the crowds all trying to enter the party at 7 p.m. WDW lets people in early to help them out and wait less time to enter, maybe they think getting fastpasses during a time that isn't even included in the party ticket is going too far. (I know the system lets it happen, but cars would let you go 125 mph, doesn't mean you should drive that fast.) I know I am to leave by 7 p.m. and I'll make sure i'm not there a minute past on a party night if I don't have a ticket. I won't even get in a ride line, eat or shop that would cause me to in the park past 7. However, I'll be going to Guest Relations when I arrive to ask why it's okay to limit the number of fastpasses available to me as a day guest from 4 p.m to 7 p.m by letting early party entrants have access.

I do feel for those that have their existing plans impacted however. There are also reports of ADR's being cancelled for day guests who tried to dine too close to 7. The timing and exchange between the day and the party needs to be ironed out, but it also needs to be clearly communicated. And it shouldn't matter what the fastpass was for. Just cancelling it for one attraction and substituting a "lesser" attraction doesn't make sense to me. Either its ok or it isn't.

Or it could be just like last year where Disney belatedly didn't allow any FP+ reservations beyond 6:30 on party nights.

Are you trying to say that those of us with only party tickets should refrain from getting FP?

No not at all, it's your choice and it is possible currently, I might use it too if we were doing a party this year ( we have gone in the past and really enjoyed the lower crowd ones). I just feel it impacts those of us with day tickets by reducing FP+ availability during the last few hours we can be in the park on one of the numerous party days. It already begins to get quite crowded by 5 p.m. and increases quickly. In our case there are 4 party nights out of 5 days we will be there, so it severely limits our MK time, and with less FP+ available it compounds.

How do you find out when there are party nights in the park. It's our first trip June 2017. This is actually my first post!

:welcome: to the Boards! There won't be hard ticket parties held in June so you'll just need to check "park hours" to determine your schedule. :)
