7DMT 'First Ride' Strategy - still a good idea?

I'm visiting MK first week of March and couldn't get a FP+ for Seven Dwarves Mine Train at all. I've also been told getting an on the day FP+ is almost impossible.

Is it still a good idea to get into the park before the opening show at the Castle and head straight to this ride after? Or is everyone doing that now and it's actually just crazy busy first thing? Has anyone tried this recently?!

I know there's never going to be a "best" time to try and catch this attraction but I want to try and go at the least busy time.

Thanks in advance!

I would go right at rope drop and head right there. You will be able to get on without too long of a wait. Have fun!

When I was at MK a few weeks ago, the line kept getting increasingly long as the morning went on. At one point it jumped from a 45 minute wait to 105 minute wait within about a half hour. So get there ASAP.

Your best bet is to either go there first thing in the morning, or close to park close at night

also keep trying for a FPand break your group up so that the times over lap so if you have 4

try to get 2 for between 12-1

and 2 for between 12;30 and 1;30

you will have a 30 minute windo to ride together, but I find the fewer the better chance of getting a FP

but yes I would go first thing get to mk at 730 be at the front of RD line up at the bridge that gose to 7DMT and walk right behind the CM

I hope this helps:
Getting a FP for 7DMT is good.... only if you enjoy the ride.
If you want the "experience" and the connection to the actual movie, PLEASE, oh please make sure you do the RD. There is a storytelling in the normal line, along with some hidden goodies that you miss during the FP.
Go enjoy your time on that ride and make the (so called) loss of not getting a FP into a +. :)

We have went at rope drop during June and October. It's very doable. We essentially walked through the queue and took us about 15 minutes to get on ride. It's worth it! We tried going close to closing both trips and the wait was still at 75 minutes or longer. Which it could've been shorter, but we didn't want to chance it.
