7DMT before Halloween party

No one has been able to answer this question before, so I'm trying my luck again. We would like to ride 7DMT from 6-7, just before the party starts (and we get kicked out!) Does anyone know if it will be closing before then, or closing to non-party guests before 7? Has anyone tried doing this, and what were your wait times? Thank you!

Any non-party goer who is in line before 7:00 should be able to ride. When the ride is over you will be asked to make your way to the park exit. There is no reason I can think of (short of an operational issue) that would cause Disney to close a ride at 6:00 and then re-open it once the party starts. In all my experiences, the rides run continuously and people who do not have whatever identifying feature they hand out proving that they are part of the party are asked to make their way out of the park. (And once the party starts, you can still shop on Main Street. They will always take your money.)

They give out wristbands at all parties - that's the identifying feature - and you will be asked to show it in order to shop, eat, walk around, and even use the restrooms once the party has started. Those not wearing a wristband will be escorted out of the park.

This is not true, in fact, they close the door and you can not get in unless you have a party ticket.

Partly true.

You will not even be allowed into a shop once MNSSHP begins, let alone in to browse or shop. There are CM whose sole focus for the first 60-90 minutes is to escort non-party guests to the front of the park.

If you are in line for an attraction once the party does start, you won't be asked to leave that line. You'll get to ride prior to being escorted out.

You may not even be allowed to use the restroom.....YMMV. There was a serious bathroom nazi back in the Pirates bathrooms one year! LOL As a party goer, I appreciated it, though (and told her so, although she looked at me like she thought I was being sarcastic--no potty for you!!!!!)

Hmmm. Maybe a change. Every time I have been, the wristband police have been at the top end of Main Street and as long as you were making your way toward the direction of the exit, they didn't care how slowly you walked down Main Street and didn't care if you walked into a store. But if this is no longer the case, I stand corrected.

Are you perhaps thinking of/remembering late EMH when you had to have a wristband? It is true that for late EMH, if you're not a resort guest, you can still shop and even eat, but could not do rides. But for parties, they've always escorted or guided you out of the parks.

Maybe. So many trips. So many experiences. :crazy2:

Thanks for the replies. I was asking partially because there were reports, months ago, that 7DMT (along with a few other rides) would be closed during the party.

I assume the wait times are reasonable, if you get in line shortly before the party starts?

We were there two years ago for the Halloween party and the wait times for 7 DMT were an hour plus the entire day. A lot of people attend the party and want to ride so I don't think the wait times will be much different than they are during a regular day.

Was there 2 weeks ago and the line was an hour + before the party, during the party was 30-45 minutes during. If you want to ride with as short of wait get there before rope drop and walk fast to the ride
