7DMT advice please

Today we booked a last minute trip (arriving July 28) . I am new to the FP+ antics. I like the looks of what I put together for us so far, but was shut out of 7DMT FPs.

What is the best strategy for riding it with shortest possible standby queues? my instincts tell me we need to attack this like we used to do TSMM in the old days, and run to 7DMT at rope drop. Is this right? I am thinking we will wind up riding it near closing time too, but the newness of it will be too hard to resist for us earlier in the day

Yep, those are your options. Go straight there at RD. And/or get in line just before park closing.

I imagine if you're staying on site you'd also have a shorter wait if you go during morning EMH (but still head there right away).

Also, keep checking to see if any FP+ open up. You never know!

And that really is a last minute trip! We're arriving on the 27th and planned it just 45 days out.

Yeah, this is about as "last minute" as I could imagine -and DW and I tend to be spontaneous people!. We won't be at MK on a morning EMH day this time around, but we can wriggle our way thru the opening crowds with the best of them. These days I let my teenagers lead the way while I try and keep up.

Best of all though, I quite unexpectedly get to spend my 50th b-day in MK so whatever happens is alright with me.
