Ok seriously how many people get up for a 7am MM ?? I can imagine alot but I am not sure I will be able to get all 3 kids and DH to the park before 7am!!! UGH! The 2nd of our 3 days is a MM so I was thinking of saving most of Fantasyland for that am..does that sound right? The night before we have MM is Fantasmic premium seats so it will be a late one but I am hoping I can get them all moving early! Hoping their bodies will be on central time still..hehehee :wizard:

We do! Twice last July and once this past Thanksgiving weekend. It's so worth it. Take a mid day break - when the parks open at 8am *7am MMs* they're usually open late *midnight* we all nap for a couple hours with hours like that. Collect FPs in the early hours and save them for when you return after your nap/break.

We did! My family is notorious for sleeping late but we were at the gates at 6:45 on our first MM. We didn't make it until almost 8:00 on our second one. You will not believe how many people are out and about. We got so much done during our first MM that is was worth the early start. Enjoy!

Oh yeah lots of people! We actually missed ours this last trip. We did WOC, the second show the night before. We were soooo tired, we just couldn't get up that early to make it. lol It was okay though, we made sure to be there for opening the other days and had our fill of all those rides. But we usually always make the 7 am MM.

Quite a few of us, lol! But at the same time, the people who don't want to get ready for a 7am MM are the reasons why it's the best option ;) I always figure that since the Saturday morning MM starts at 7am it's the best option on two fronts. (1) because the way I see it fewer people will have the motivation to get up and it wont be as busy as say a MM on a Thursday - and in my experience I saw far, far, far more people at the gates for a Thursday MM than I did on the Satuday MM that I went to - and (2) because Saturday is a busier day in general so why not take advantage of that hour so you can get seemingly get a lot in on a busy day. I always make sure I do my MM's that way, mind you I'm not travelling with kids, but I would still try my best to make it happen.

We always make the MM and are always at opening the other days. Even when my kids were young, we went to the parks early and when they got crowded we headed back to the hotel to rest and then back to the parks around 4PM. Sometime one or two of the kids would not want to leave so one of the adults would just stay at the park ALL day...thats exhausting.

We do!! 7:00 a.m. is daunting to a lot of tired families, which is why we love it. The MM crowds aren't so heavy. And since the day is expected to be crowded anyhow, we get a LOT done before the crowds build and then go off to the hotel for a swim and nap.

Hypothetically, I'd do a longer nap and swim before returning for the Fantasmic show (the night before). Then I wouldn't be so dead tired for an early rise the next morning.

We did - up at 6.15 to make sure we were first in line at the gate. I wouldn't want to do it every morning of my holiday but it was SO worth it to see Fantasyland all empty and quiet.
Here's our MM video if you want to check it out the peace and quiet for yourself:

Try a 7am MM when the park is open until 3am. It happens at WDW in the MK.

I do it too!:rotfl2: (All of us early risers for the 7:00 a.m. MM are coming out of the woodwork!:rotfl2:) I love the early MM's - what a great time to really see the wonderful details of Fantasyland and walk through the area while not getting stuck in crowds. Granted, I may not use every MM I have if I am staying onsite but I will at least use one MM and try for 2 if I can.

I've done Saturday and Sunday MM's. I always go during the holiday season, which is extremely popular. In addition to the huge benefit of being able to do the Fantasyland rides with next to no wait, if you can get on IASW Holiday during an MM that is an excellent bonus because that line gets looooooong as the day progresses. My friend and I were lucky to get on IASW Holiday during MM - once at the beginning of the MM hour, just after 7 a.m., and once at the end of the MM hour, because IASW Holiday opened a bit late. Both times we sailed right through the queue and onto the ride and there were all sorts of empty boats around us.

I tried to convince my friends who are supposed to be in town later this year that they should do at least one MM to get their son on the key FL rides (he's never been to DLR before) because it will be extremely helpful, but they don't think they will be able to make a 7 a.m. MM - they just can't get up and out early enough to do it. It's definitely not for everyone - some people just have families that cannot make it up and out that early. And some folks don't want to have to push themselves to get out that early. But if you happen to lean towards being an early riser anyway, definitely try a 7 a.m. MM!

In fact, sometimes, if I'm not mistaken, if DL has to close early during a busy season like the holidays (maybe it's some special private after hours event that is out of the ordinary for the season), they have actually opened the park an hour earlier than they normally would to allow people to get extra time - at 7 a.m. - and then the MM would be at 6 a.m.!! This happened on a couple of days last year in December. If I had access to a 6 a.m. MM, I would be doing that too!:rotfl2:

We have done it a few times--just because everyone acts like you are crazy if you don't take advantage of it. It is VERY low crowds, but the fact remains that we are on vacation, people. Now I never worry about it at all--and we all *gasp* sleep in and relax. I actually find that night time after fireworks is similar to the crowd levels of MM. We just stay as late as we want (and that isn't super late)--and then get up and do it all over again the next day. I try not to burn us all out before our last day.:)

Me too! In fact I left my family in the hotel asleep and went by myself! I am an early riser, so a 7am MM is nothing for me :)

We do MM's on every morning we can. Usually 2 per trip. When we go in December, we will be in the parks from Thursday-Sunday, so 3 MM's. I plan on going to all 3. I'm hoping that one of those will be a day when they're making candy canes.

My family is usually all good for the first MM and then they start complaining. I tell them that if they don't want to join me, they can meet up with me later. Usually the kids rally and get up and DH sometimes does and sometimes joins us sometime before 8:00.

We always take a long break in the afternoons. And plan on sleeping all day on the day we get home.

If I stayed on-site I would definitely take that approach but I can never afford to. :rotfl:

great video..thanks!

We did the MM in WDW yrs ago but for some reason it seemed easier then :rotfl2:

I just hope they aren't too wiped out from Fantasmic the night before. If we are at the gate at 645 do you think that is ok or do we need to aim more for 630?

My wife and I have done it (and will be doing it again in about 10 days), but we're usually a little late in arriving. We've gotten to the park by 7:20 sometimes, but even then, the lines are pretty sparse. Also, I get just a little kick out of walking by people who don't have the MM--but as we'll be getting the promotional tickets this time, we'll have to suffer one of the days we're there like everyone else.

MMs are tough if you want to tour without taking a break, but it's usually worth it to not wait for 40 minutes or more for something like Peter Pan.

We always aim to leave the hotel at 6:20 to be at security by 6:30.

We stay on-site and I love walking thru DD at that time. It's empty and you can smell the lingering smells from the night before. The stores are closed. It's one of my favorite times.

we will be at HOJOs so it won't be too bad of a walk over...

We stayed to 3am on our last trip to WDW. It was my kids' idea. :confused3 I wanted to leave around 1am but they liked the idea of staying up that late and hitting the rides. We did nap. They were 8 and 6 at the time. Then they got up at 8 and were raring to go. Geesh I was hoping to sleep in. :rotfl:

7 a.m. MM is not too early for us. Of course we are from Kansas and 7 a.m. P.S.T. is 9 a.m. C.S.T........:cool1:
