We will be a family of 6 next year when we sail so I am looking for a way to have at least one verandah and not go broke.
I read previously that a lot of families book a verandah and across the hall an inside. Our oldest will be 17 so that would work for us. I am looking to see if we can do a 7A (book 2 of us in it) and an inside (book the other 4 in it) across the hall. Our actual sleeping configuration would be 4 of us (plus the infant) in the 7A and the teen in the inside room. Are there any 7As that have both the pull down berth and the couch bed? I have read that some sleep 4 but can't seem to find a list of which ones.

Best to ask a DCL TA who knows or look at the stateroom reports as above, not in any stateroom an adult is required on the reservation, but you can sleep his you like when on the ship. Generally the 3/4 person cost is the same whatever the room booked.

Good advice to ask an expert. I can tell you that 2 years ago, DH and I went with extended family. My sister was in 8164 with herself, husband, and 2 teens. We were in 7170, but because it was just the two of us, I didn't notice whether or not there was a bunk.

This thread has info about most of the rooms on the Dream and Fantasy with regards to how many and which beds are available. http://www.disboards.com/threads/dc...-rooms-needed-1st-post.3194826/#post-49995267

Also, be aware that for the muster drill and in the event of an actual emergency, passengers must report to the muster station to which they are booked (not where they sleep). So I'd suggest booking your infant in the same room with you if that might be an issue. And PP is correct that an adult must be booked into each stateroom, but you can split to sleep where you wish.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks! I will check out the thread. There will be an adult booked in each room, so the infant will be fine in an emergency/muster drill, but thanks for the advice. :)

That thread you linked above, lanejudy, was perfect! There is only 1 of the 7As that sleep 4 avail for the sailing I want, so I need to book it tonight!!

I now have to decide if we want to do the 7A and connecting 5C for $8468, the 7A and adjacent 8C for $8272, or the 7A and nearby 10A for $8020.

Even the most expensive option above is $500 cheaper than 2 connecting 5Ds and only $300 more than 2 connecting 9Ds...so this a great way to save! Two connection 9Ds is actually more expensive than the 7A/10A combo. Love that we can do this! I am thinking I am going with the 7A/connecting 5C. The small price difference seems worth it to be connecting, 2 balconies. Woot woot! Decision made. Thanks everyone!!!

What are the room numbers of the 7a with connecting 5C?

What are the cabin numbers for the 7a connecting 5C ?
